Show the process of overflow alignment AND sealing the drain at the bottom of sink.
DIY videos seemingly never cover the things that are the most difficult/ critical to it being successful and/or time consuming. The either gloss over them or dont even mention them.
The only reason I watched the video and it wasn't covered.
How convenient that the bore-hole for the vessel drain was already available on the countertop. The one-third of this video that ACTUALLY covers "How to Install a Vessel Sink" will likely not win any DIY Helper Awards.
The borehole technique and size of hole required and where the bottom bolt tightens onto (the sink itself or the bottom of the counter top) as well as the drain situation were both not showed and covered in the video. How to install something without installing it.

Is it necessary to replace the old cabinets, is it possible to use existing cabinets for the install. It appears that I will have to replace the counter tops, but must I replace the cabinets as well?
Yes, you can use existing cabinets. Remove the old top, install the new solid top, line up where the drain hole will be drilled.
They make it look so easy....
It IS easy. Make sure you have the right tools, don't improvise!
It can more difficult than this. Need to show bore size for different vessel drain set up.

At 2:17 on the video the most important point was skipped. That makes this video invalid and useless. As a plumber, you didn't explain the hole size of the vessel drain on the countertop, or how big a hole in the plywood under the countertop for the sink drain. Thus leaving plumbers stuck every single time on these installations until they form a relationship with the countertop companies. The best thing to do if you are stuck with this situation is to call the countertop company back and tell them to try and install the sink and drain. If they can't explain how, make them take the whole granite or whatever countertop out and cut the whole properly. What's a matter with these countertop companies cutting and inch and three quarter hole when then could drill a three inch hole for the plumber's wrench in the future.

Garbage video.. the most critical part is how to make sure the drain does not leak past the outside of the drain... never mind, this was FAR more than the title...
Vessel sinks are the pineapple pizza of home remodels.
I love them! The built in sinks were the game back in the early 2000's. Now the vessel. Keeps the water off the vanity better, IMHO.
