Been without hot water for 2 months now. 😱 Can't afford the $1500 to have it done. Still scared to change mine myself! 😳 Thanks! Gonna watch the video a few times! 🥰
Hi, @EnjoyCalculus An electric water heater and a gas water heater are two different products. If you are wanting to connect your water heater to your home's natural gas connection, you will need a water heater that is specifically for using with natural gas. An electric water heater will not have a gas connection. Our in-store associates would be happy to talk you through the differences between these two products and help you choose one that is best for your needs.
Blue pipe is the incoming cold water line from the city. The city has water towers and or pump jacks that pressure the lines to all homes to 40-80 PSI. The pressure is consistent no matter what -/+ 10 PSI. Because there is pressure, the water easily rises through the red hot pipe out of the heater. Physics.
Fantastic video, and timely, as our water heater is on its last leg; thank you!
These steps make it less intimidating. This is literally DIY-kind of water heater. Thanks

how does the hot water go up through the red pipes ? doesnt gravity make that impossible ? is there a pump inside the water heater ?

UNCONSTITUTIONAL
THAT ANY GOVERNMENT WOULD NOT ALLOW YOU TO DO THE NECESSARY THINGS YOU NEED TO DO TO YOUR PROPERTY AND TO YOUR HOME
My city requires a building permit for that.
Some municipalities do require a permit. You should always check the requirements of your local municipality before starting any DIY projects. 👍
As a plumber I love how incorrect this is lmao
Nope
