F2P player here; Sometime I like to pair my Charles 5-5-3-3 with Coa Coa 5-2-1-3, and I find the healing benefits to actually be the best out of mostly all of the other commanders I have tried and paired with Charles. Mostly tested against barbarians and barbarian forts.
Charles is awesome, but only if you unlock 5th skill. Max sun tzu and Charles as 2nd and you got s tanky unit that hits 5 targets and retaliates like you stole his gf.
Haven't unlocked Charlie yet. 9/10 sculptures at the moment! :) Hopefully someday I get him. Nice informative video as always, keep the guides coming man.
Hey Chisgule, you mentioned about pairing Martel with Sun Tzu. I am wondering whether Sun Tzu 4th skill would have any impact on Martel's shield. Can you make a video to test if skill damage increase (talents/skills) would have any impact on non-damage skills?

I fully anticipate rocking a full infantry army eventually (halfway there now). The two questions: 1) Should I use the universal legendary sculptures to continue working on Richard, or should I put some more into Martel? Martel at this point only costs 30 sculptures, and I have 10. Richard I have 0, and they cost 40. 2) Knowing that after I use those statues, they're still going to be pretty close in level but Richard is still going to be more skilled, should I keep Martel as my primary commander? If so, why? Everything I've read says to have the army be Martel / Richard. Can you explain why?

Curious about this too. On the one hand, you cant get Richard sculptures from chests unless you're early kingdom so it might make sense to give him the universals. But if you give Charles the sculptures then you might have an easier time maxing him due to MGE and gold chests
I havent watched any commander guides for belisarius. For his 3rd skill, it says a defense boost for calvary, but doesnt specify the march speed to any unit type. Is it still for calvary only? Im only asking cus charles expertise kinda reminded me of belisarius skill

Hey chisgule... i'm curious to a new pairing... I know most of us are using caocao and minamoto with t4 or t5 cav, and no one else would be a perfect pair for cav... And also using charles and richard with infantry army with immense healing... I want to know if we can manage to obtain "saladin" and to expertise as well and made his support tree full to rage tanking, and with him we use expertised "mehmad" what will be the outcome??? Work on a different commander, do not put universals on Charles. Eventually you will get a bunch of skill ups from gold keys and at that point hopefully the first skill is higher.
I remember my master legend rhony used to rock 🎸 on the battle field with max boudica as primary and 5111 charles with mix troops.. No joke his 1st skill is even better than richards 1st skill .. No joke .. Only charles user can tell you that.. His shield is a secret healing

How very stupid... participated in losing rally counted??. Almost all BF is level 5. We must wait one our whale player online to get proper bf5 rally. Many of us seriuous player try hard to raise castle 1000 to deal with BF5, but this stupid game make it impossible for free play to raise castle more than 775. Not every time we rally BF we got book covenant.

The Best as a garison comanders is primary Charles martel with max garison tree and secondary Herman with max garison garison tree

I suggest you to power up Charles 5511 and Richard 5511. This will give you enough boost

Im build him as defend which he can be so tank with mix troop. If you build infantry, u need full of infantry to make him more durable.

For garrison, i have martel as my Prim and eulji as my Secondary. Martel I have gone into the Garrison tree, which tree should I go into for eulji?
Mindworm since he’s your secondary his talents don’t matter too much. I’d stick with garrison as well either way tho
