All the people saying that rockstar “gave up” on rdr2 are crazy. This was the most polished and perfect game I’ve ever played. It was not meant to be online focused like GTA. It was a love letter and an absolute MASTERPIECE to single player gamers. That was its purpose. Not some crazy fuckfest online.
RDR2 was a massive success, considered one of the best story modes of all time. Red Dead Online however was simply a sandbox game to test the new engine and other things for GTA6.
@ungvd1y of course, I loved the story mode, I was strictly speaking about online. Online was a flop, they never finished the online story and such. Just pisses me off they gave more love and care to GTA online. RDR online could have been something special
I was really disappointed with what Rockstar did with the Online. RDR2 is my legit favorite game of all time, I never waited with baited breath for anything like I did waiting for this games release. I beat it twice and I 100% it the second time. The only game I've ever done that with, to date. Online had so much potential. We never got houses, properties, proper heists or bank robberies. I would have gladly spent more for the above content if the gaming experience was there.
@granitemonkey having my own homestead instead of that stupid camp would have been wonderful. They could have had a cattleman role and had us go on a cattle drive to make money, just like that one mission in the story.
Having all of Mexico down there in RDR2 with only John's Epilogue really says a lot about how much this game got abandoned. There was enough room to have a handful of DLC content... and I never bothered to play GTA online. Some of us have no interest in paying for online content.
the only dlc for rdr1 we got was undead nightmare and that just added new enemies and reskins. gta5 didn't get a dlc and I don't know why anyone hoped we would get brand new single player content for rdr2. gta online is the mode that got expansions and story continuations.
If Take2 had brains, they would have pushed Rockstar to at least dedicate a small team to work on Mexico for use in Online & potentially to remake/remaster the original RDR with the same graphics from RDR2. That way they could have given the fans what they wanted, while also filling their pockets to the max. Every time I play RDR2 now, after completing the epilogue I kinda wish that we could hop straight into RDR1's story & just continue John's journey... Maybe one day some talented modder ends up doing a re-skin of RDR with RDR2 graphics, I guess we can only hope :(
Well said. Proper DLCs with genuine new content are the way forward and not pointless 'online' versions. I'd happily pay for the former, but will never pay for the latter.
i feel like RDR3 will be set in 1860-1870 , because thats the only period that they didnt explore and that would be the full wild west experience . let them cook
@@steezwts9093 wishful thinking, I'd love to see it in that time frame but I doubt we see it at all. Realistically, gta6 still probably has at least one or two more yearly delays, then gta6 online will be the only thing going for at least another 8-10 years minimum
That's true but we still don't know the fate of Sadie or Charles. We have a general idea but Sadie mentioned moving to South America and finding a husband and doing some bounty hunting. We also know that Rockstar cut big parts of Guarma out of RDR2, so they're sitting on tons of tropical island assets that went unused in the final version of RDR2 that could easily be used for South America
Yeah, being able to play as a native American would be really cool. I like the multiple characters' story mode. Have a Dances with Wolves type of storyline
They worked hard on bringing RDR2 to life, that’s no secret. Then they completely gave up on it, treating it like a nuisance, or something they just don’t care about. What happened after tells a WHOLE DIFFERENT story.
I don’t think its that exactly Rockstar games is too big of a company to focus too much on just one game Gta 5 is a rare case of course But I think they are well aware that their resources and time being transported on to some other title might be the best course of action considering they are already supporting gta 5 and how big of a game gta 6 is going to be Meanwhile if they also start supporting RDR 2, it could be waste of precious time and resources.
@@mikesiver1950There's nothing wrong with RDO. They've been calling the end of that game since the beta. It always has full lobbies. Everyone is always having a good time. Not nearly as toxic as GTA. And a great place to meet new friends. Don't believe the press.
I’m seeing a lot of talk about Rockstar giving up on RDR… but I don’t think that’s the case. Rather, I think that’s a negative way of looking at it. I believe they realized they wanted to focus all their efforts on GTA. People might not understand the absolutely immense and endless amount of manpower and money it takes to maintain a live-service game. Just look at what Sony did with Concord or what Naughty Dog did with their The Last of Us online game. I don’t think Rockstar lacks love for Red Dead Redemption (despite how frustrating it is that they haven’t provided current-gen support), but even a company as large as Rockstar has to allocate its resources wisely. As a fan of both GTA and RDR (admittedly I’m a waaaay bigger fan of RDR) I think it’s smarter for them to have focused on GTA instead of RDR2 online. I still believe we’ll see a brilliant Red Dead Redemption game, maybe in 6-8 years, but it will come!
Playing as a young Landon Rickets could be interesting. It's already established that he was in a gang and could tell the story of how he ended up on mexico. Could even be an opportunity to cross paths with a young Dutch.
@@lionelhutz5137that would be great but from what I have heard from Arthur when he mentions his father I think he was a down and out drunk and mind Arthur got with Dutch when he was in his teens
Im still pissed at dutch for walking away while i died. He called me his "son" Yet he turned his back and walked away. I would rather not see dutch agian i may not be able to control my rage
I feel like Red Dead Redemption story has been told, as was Arthur's. I feel Red Dead can live on, but as another story arc...sort of like Red Dead Revolver. New characters, new story. Interactive AI NPC's would be so cool to see in an open world Wild West game. Also the same things we wanted for RDR2- bank and train heists, properties, roles like in RDR2 online. I like to spend my time grinding, so I love the thought of trapping, trading, hunting, and survival being a big part of at least the epilogue or online. They left so much on the table from rdr2 and I'm honestly not even counting on there even being a Red Dead game in the next 6 years. Whatever the new game brings, I sure hope Rockstar doesn't abandon it like they did this one. RDR2 deserved so much better than what they gave us after the main story line.
I don’t know how no body asking for the origin story of the legend himself, UNCLE! i demand it, we need to know how he fought and struggle with lumbago👴🏼
I thought Uncle also. I think he would be perfect he seems like a washed up story telling old man. Would be cool to play him as a young bad ass gunslinger!!
The biggest thing I would want in RDR3 is branch story lines. Meaning, if \ when you fail a mission, the story continues, but the failed mission changes future events. If that mission was essential to the main story, have a 2nd mission appear down the line that allows you to correct the failed mission from earlier. Or you don't get that friend \ ally, or piece of information, a villain mocks you and becomes a nemesis, you become wanted \ stand trial, a member of your gang is killed, etc. Love to see AI integrated into the NPCs. Multiple ways of completing a mission. Have earlier missions affect future missions. example, you stole a Gatlin Gun from an earlier mission. You now have an option from time to time to use that Gatlin Gun in future missions. If the Gatlin Gun mission failed, that option is not available for you in future missions.
I know that when it comes to any sort of sequels to anything that the powers that be are really into subverting expectations, and I get it… it’s interesting. But I love Arthur Morgan so much; probably even 10 times more than I loved John Marston… and where as I usually like my expectations subverted I think that exploring a younger version of Arthur and the Gang would be absolutely brilliant. One thing is for certain, we’ve always played these games near the end of the wild West, but why don’t we get a game where it’s in the absolute thick of the wild West.
I honestly would prefer a different story something to do with the war with the north and the south. Then trying to get the indigenous peoples onto reservations. That would be more interesting to me
I think it would be interesting to play as a native like Eagle Flies or as an escaped/free slave. Maybe even a combo of both - A duo trying to survive a changing world
it would really be great if they could cover it. like by 1890, there were huge native massacres. imagine fighting a last stand in that moment, or maybe surviving it, and being hopelessly hunted like animals by so called civilized men. maybe play as one of eagle eye's brother, or someone close to charles. id really love to spend more time with them. maybe too cliche, but giving them a chance to live, by surrendering to a treaty, knowing only for them to throw it away for revenge, by time of rdr 2, would be in line with rdr story
I think everyone is looking at this wrong. You have to think about the future of the series through the final games reward you get after completing 100%. Legend of the West. And the Legend of the East. What's left? Legend of the North and Legend of the South. You know what that means? Civil War, baby! Everything about RDR2 is about the end of the West. It only makes sense that next two games should focus on the birth of the West. And what better backdrop than to place that game than the fallout of the American Civil War. All characters embody wild West archetypes. John is the Bounty Hunter. Arthur is the Outlaw Cowboy. The only other two archetypes I can think of is the famous Gunslinger and Duellist and the Lawman. My idea would be to make it a Civil War story between two men on opposite sides of the war. I would make my Legend of the North a former Union soldier turned lawman and I would make my famous gunslinger a former Confederate soldier. Have the story move forward in time instead of backwards like 1 and 2. So the next game after is a sequel but start at the end of the Civil War in the 1860s and then tag out that series into the late 1870s with a young Arthur and the Van Der Linde gang. So that transition will still be true to what RDR has set up.
Ok hear me out: Upon reflecting on shows like 1923 and Yellowstone, An intriguing plot could revolve around Jack in the 1920s. Imagine Jack, the last owner of the ranch, grappling with the challenge of rebuilding and preserving his father's legacy. Amidst this journey, he experiences the horrors of World War I, subsequently embarking on a stint as a big game hunter in Africa. While there, he learns from an older Sadie or Charles that a rival rancher is eyeing his land. This revelation compels him to return and defend his ranch, all the while attempting to uphold traditional values in the face of advancing technology. The narrative could beautifully capture the evolution of Jack into a seasoned rancher, culminating in a glimpse of his descendants continuing the Marston ranch business in contemporary times. The story could conclude with an epilogue reminiscent of Yellowstone. I mean it’s pretty much 1923 and Yellowstone, but that could make an epic game.
@@Monkeyamingus777 agreed but then it wouldn’t be about the Wild West per say. More about the meeting point between traditional world views and industrial world views
what if it went the other way, and jack was involved in the prohibition/moonshining stuff, mobsters, tommy guns, pinkertons, early onset of cars and such, i dont know if they can beat rdr2 story line but man they got options...
It sounds cool but I would rather have a game based in the 1860-1870s the peak of the Wild West. Both red dead games is were the west is ending I want to see something where is just full on Wild West
a lot of people are underestimating mac callander and its quite surprising to me because mac is the closest thing to being the next protagonist because of the way the gang talks about him, and mac being the only van der lin member we do not see, nor know him on a personal level, wheras jenny and davey we know enough about them to know who they are exactly. mac callander is like this empty void in the gang thats super mysterious. it seems like rockstar already has plans for mac to be the next protag, but dont want to reveal too much because they want to get creative with him, makes sense why we dont know what he looks like, not even the clothes he wears, its as if we can customise him.
@@Redemptifyhe is actually reasonable though, the people that should NEVER become a writer for rockstar are people who want a Sadie adler/ Charles smith game lol
@@prowthegamershut up bruv you have literally no room to speak here considering you feel the need to cover everyones ass in the comment thread. thats also not the full jist of it, any other odea doesnt work as going further in the future isnt the wild west and its helluva a lot harder to introduce a completely new cast.
I feel like Lyle Morgan would be a good idea because Arthur was a kid when he lost his parents and if he father was an outlaw obviously he wouldn’t tell his son he is so it could end with Lyle giving his son his hat and getting hung but Arthur thinks it’s for something completely different
I just hope they make some changes to the online play. Dedicated servers, anti-cheat? Maybe they could implement a subscription system that isn't mandatory? So hardcore RDO lovers can sub for bonuses but the casuals can still enjoy the online play. I dunno, i just want rockstar to get whatever revenue they need to keep online play in rdr3 alive and healthy like in GTO.
They probably wont even need mocap then. Modern AI can already create many custom Animations on demand (EA published a paper on that recently), by just looking at mocap data for a few hours. Im not talking about animations like ragdolls or slight differences in walking, but literally any animation can be generated on runtime.
What little AI based motion I have seen still looks a bit "uncanny valley". It's hard to explain, but it looks "too smooth" to be natural. It's weird. That said, it's definitely getting there. I think that's part of what the strike against the game industry is about.
They should follow Jack after John dies. Him being apart of the one of the last Gunslingers in the west as more cities and town are being built. It would be cool to see some new places as well.
I feel like RDR3 should include Dutch as the main playable character cuz we don't really know when he made the Van der Linde gang and how it progressed over time. So, i think making Dutch the main playable character would be the right thing to do, while having Hosea as a playable side character.
Honestly I would love to play as Dutch he’s one of my fav characters but I’ve only ever played RDR 2. But I love Dutch he’s probably my 2nd or 3rd fav Arther is my number 1
i always thought that i we’d ever get rdr3 it would probably be a prequel to rdr3 with mac callander as a protagonist, since in-game dialogues seem to tease it to be like this. but this is my personal thoughts, because mac is never seen once, we don’t know much about him, and the way they talk about him was “yeah he was bad but he was also kinda good”, to me that sounds like a description for a future protagonist. but who knows!
RDR3 taking place during the very end of the Civil War or early in Reconstruction would be amazing. We could start off as a Union or Confederate soldier or something who is injured in a battle and left for dead or rescued by a gang of outlaws and decides to leave the army and the war behind for something else. Or if in Reconstruction have a veteran affected by PTSD and weary of the world turn to crime.
I would absolutely love a new game in the franchise, but I think it has to go waaaay back in time and explore different characters entirely. Arthur's portrayal in 2, as well as John, are both TOO iconic and their narrative arcs feel absolutely complete. I think if you move that back in time and try to "explore" Arthur (or John) even further back in their lives when they were vastly different people than they were when we encounter them, you risk permanently ruining the legacy that's been built. Out of all the characters left from the franchise, the only one I think you can reasonably continue with (possibly) is Sadie. She's the only one with the motivation and capacity who survived to continue the game. But everyone she wanted vengeance against is now gone. And so is everyone she cared about except maybe Jack...and I have no idea how you approach that story. MAYBE you could bang out one more game with Jack as the protagonist where Sadie becomes a mentor figure of some kind, but we have to assume Jack is a wanted man as well since he killed Ross. I think the story of the Van Der Linde gang is finished...and perfectly so. I'm not keen on re-visiting its deep past. I would be VERY interested in a somewhat more in-depth "wild west simulator" version of Red Dead set in the earliest days of the Wild West? But I'm not sure where a story as deeply engaging and moving as RDR/RDR2 emerges from that. That's probably a very FUN game, but I don't think a game like that is particularly the kind of narrative game that Rockstar is looking to make, either.
Rockstar did not give up on RDR2 guys. They just stopped adding content to the online version. The story mode is perfect the way that it is. It was already a massive game. I like to think of RDR2 online mode like gta 4 online mode. It was a trial. Whenever we get rdr3…I’m pretty sure the online mode will be even better.
I wanna see RDR3 bring back the strange map aka top hat guy “who some people claims to be the devil” and Dutch makes a deal with him which of course he breaks and it turns into the down fall of the blackwater heist and the gang of for RDR2.
As i play red dead, i really want to chop wood and build my own cabin, the camps dont feel like home, chop wood, free build a cabin, build fences for animal pens, etc... basically a more in depth once you start playing as john... bit being able to do that stuff earlier in the story
I personally don't want a multi character system like in GTA 5. I think that's just not Red Deads thing. Those stories are based on following one character and another character that was heavily impacted by that character, the games are designed to tell in depth that one characters story. Thats why things like the character development and death of Arthur were so impactful, because we got to see it all start to finish from his eyes. I do not think he and his story would be nearly as impactful if we swapped between like Arthur, Javier and Charles. I really want to keep that formula, because its part of what makes those stories so great.
I remember when there were no animals or NPCs in RDR2 online... the prices of goods changed... animals you killed disappeared. The game was so beautiful that I would have accepted an in game reason i.e. a drought, a recession or depression etc. The last straw was the missing Moonshine poppy recipe bug.
Tbh, for the story i strongly agree with your opinion, and roger’s Clark comment, RDR1 locked our hands to make a new story for gang, and RDR2 completely finished the story, there’s nothing remaining, maybe a grand remake in the future, but for now, as you said, we need a completely new direction
@@Anthony20084 why waste resources on making a next gen when all resources could be allocated to actually making rdr3. Everyone moans game developers don’t release enough or they rob us blind but yeah ‘PlEAsE mAKe NeXt GEn uPGrAdE aND chaRGe uS £50 fOR iT so I CaN coNTInUe tO MoAn’ 😂
RDR2 still has ton of potential. The game engine is soo good that they could have added expansion packs and side quests and even different stories with new characters like they did with GTA 4. The Map and all its resources can be used to populate much more quests, stories, tresures, mysteries. Even they could expand the map more and discover whole new narratives in the Dessert, mountain capes and the woodlands. My take is RDR2 as great as it is! I saw a lot more potential expansion in the game. A small portion of the GTA 5 onlines revenue could have been set aside for a small team of dedicated hardcore developers just the improve and populate and immerse you with a lot more content in RDR2 itself.
Rationally, there must be a RDR3, since the fans base is so strong and robust. When R star launches the new game, at least 50% of RDR2 buyers will purchase the new game. The percentage may be probably much bigger. So it will bring huge financial success to the company if R star can keep the standard and taste as RDR2 presents. I personally quite expect the RDR3 game. It's been 6 years almost, too long being waiting for wandering in the west. lol...
Meeting Arthur, Dutch, Uncle, and Hosea would be awesome. Going on missions with them as some kid lost in the world would be an amazing prologue for the game.
My favourite story idea for rdr3 is Landon Ricketts for sure. He has a lot of already told potential with his segment in the first game with John and I think Rockstar could definitely make something of it.
I could see the RDRIII Epilogue following Dutch as he creates the gang. Maybe have a similar theme to the first two play out where your main character grows and becomes a good (ish) person and sacrifices himself at the end. It seems to be a bit of a staple in the series now. but that could clear the way for Dutch to start his own gang. Maybe he meets Hosea in the first part of the Epilogue and by the end of it all you're in Blackwater planning some new heist on a casino boat..
I feel like a story centered around the Glanton gang would be great to explore. Blood Meridian explores similar themes of how the brutality of man and living these outlaw lifestyles only lead to suffering for everyone involved. Plus having Mexico to explore further during the mid to late 1800s would be a great change
I would like Red Dead Redemption three to be set in the late 1910s through the 1920s as Jack Marston seeing what he becomes and continuing his character arc
I just hope that they will create a new story rather than focusing on Van Der Linde gang again, maybe not even give it a title 'Redemption' Edit: AND I HOPE they don't rush it because rdr2 cut content had so much potential, I don't care if we will have to wait a year more
Oh shit. Just watched the whole video and realized I’m watching Hazard. Damn bro it’s been a while since I followed this content. Happy to see you still out here! Dude I would low key be down for a Pinkerton storyline. You are by default a law enforcer, but on the side doing shady deals and acting above the law. Idk why I feel that would be a good move, but haven’t thought what that story would be. Perhaps a whole other gang or a bunch of wild bandits that crop up and start local gangs in towns as they hop around and evade the Pinkertons.
I think people should note that when the CEO of T2 said he wants to expand the longevity of their main projects (GTA & Red Dead), he meant Red Dead universe. There are 4 Red Dead games that I can think of and the popular 2 being Redemption I & II, but there was Revolver and Gunslinger as well. I personally would love to explore the universe more and maybe see a way of tying Revolver and Redemption together.
I hope they utilize the Mexico map. start there with a young unknown gunslinger. like Frank Heck. this time start out in Mexico and work your way back to the U.S.A. as a federal marshal. Frank Heck? a marshal? now that would be interesting. have some run ins with the Vander Linde Gang at times. i'd like to see Landon Rickets in there somewhere as well as Seth and Nigel West Dickens. yeah yeah i know the original voice actor passed away that voiced (Ross Hagen). but this could be a younger version. if this idea sounds bad, forgive me. i was just caught up in that nostalgia. here's hoping RDR3 will be worth it.
I'm wondering if RDR3 will expand on the map they already have like they did the rd1, or just scrap everything and make something completely new. Id personally like to explore atleast some of those areas again in different periods.
If they stick with the Van Der Linde gang, go back to the beginning and run it right up to the Blackwater Massacre. It gives a chance to look at the rise and peak of the gang and still brings back a lot of fan favorite people while still leaving it open to go explore more areas and ideas. But for sure the RDR2 map should return, but with further additions.
There were so many opportunities to have John have another chapter in New Austin. If anything, it could’ve been DLC leading up to Ross eventually catching up to John and forcing him to hunt down his former gang members, leading to the intro for RDR1.
i like the idea of going back further with the vdl gang. maybe playing as davey for a time leading up to the boat incident. it would keep with the trend of learning all the lore backwards, we would be playing as a character we already know the fate of, and we will FINALLY know what really went down on that boat
Hear me out. Play as Charles before he joins the gang. Have some lore behind what he was like before he was a gang member. Epilogue be him joining the gang and the Blackwater Heist. I think that would be pretty sick.
One thing that MUST, like you absolutely MUST understand is that ALL of these well-known video game companies have the man power to take on multiple projects at the same time. Like its never a matter of like "oh we don't have the resources or time or whatever" that's just not the case and never will be. If a company with multiple projects is choosing to focus on one, they're doing so simply because they're lazy, its not that its too hard or they don't have the resources. 2000 people....and that was THEN.
I think you could go a couple different directions: - You could play a Native in the west who toes the line of savagery/honor in the midst of the west. - A young Dutch Vander Lin: To show how Dutch ended up the way he did and what he went through. - Jack Marston as a sequel to the 1st red dead. - Or a new completely different badass character that is not related to the original story. I think all of these options would be a W
Honestly a pretty cool story line would be to play as Jack and either work for the law, or be on the other side of the law, and still have the Honor system for either choice... I guess not a storyline but a good foundation lol
I want to see the Time Traveler from Strawberry show up and help Arthur make everything right by giving him the ability to go back and change things.... avoid the tuberculosis, save Keiren, Hosea and Lenny and take all that money that Arthur accumulates on his own and give him worthwhile things to buy like land and a house for him and Mary, AND KILL MICHAH! Maybe he takes on a young protege and mentors him to the right path, paving the way for an eventual Red Dead 4... If they can do Red Dead Undead they can do "Red Dead Reality"... 🤠
In the story mode for RDR3 it would be cool to start out by your self and choose how you look and your name kinda like RD online. Then you start off by yourself and recruit new gang members over time and to make the game last longer the storyline would be from like the start of the gang where its just you and maybe your best friend to were there's like 20 people and the gangs falling apart with like 5,000 hours of gameplay just in the story mode
I would love to see Jack Marston story continue. I feel like he’s got more of his story to tell. Like will he form his own gang and become similar to his dad while trying to adapt to the growing towns. Will he find love and settle down? I just want to know more about what happened after the first game…
Personally I’d like to see the story of Van Der Linde cuz I think it gives wings for a lot of creativity. However, I do think they could play out with creativity and new gangs. We could keep the 2 people player as half and half of the game, since both Rdr1 and 2 were wired like that, but maybe we could have a bit more options. We could play with a new gang, maybe smaller? We could start out with maybe even no gang and form one as we go, recruiting people. Maybe this gang would run up to Dutch and Hosea on their early days too, introduce more of the west map as well as more mountains and new towns. The gang could be rival to Colm and the Van der linde as the three gangs start to happen, and as you said you could choose to partner up with them. But it would be coool to play outside of the Van der Linder while still being able to keep contact and watch them as they grow. Maybe save a young Arthur from something? Maybe on the second part we could play as someone from the O’Driscolls too, not colm but someone inside that gang that eventually dies? Have different options where the game can lead like Detroit become human and have different outcomes for the second part of the game
I’d love a new story in the golden age of the Wild West and with small references or nods to the Van Der Linde gang maybe just getting started or infamous and already on to the next state.
An updated and canon Red Dead Revolver would be absolutely awesome if they wanted to do that. Also according to experts, the wild west didn't really end until somewhere between the early 1910s and the late 1920s so they can continue following protagonists if they want as well
I wonder if they could write RDR3 from the start of Micah savings Dutch to the setup for Blackwater robbery. Aurther says he was on the other side of town working on a lead with Hosea. Whatever happens at that lead could be the ending of RDR3. This story could be all about Micha trying to set up Aurther to kill him off. Aurther was Micha's greatest threat to leading the gain with Dutch.
The back story of John and Abigail could be a great game. Like a year long game layout like the first The Last of Us. The redemption arc being John leaving because he doesn't want to believe he is Jack's father, angry young man, gets involved in some other situations involving some woman or family with a young kid, helps out in some way grudgingly like how Arthur does when he sees the gang falling apart and Dutch going to the dark side. Then John sees what an ass he was and comes around to see how much Abigail and Jack mean to him, with the promise of a normal life with people he loves. I'd have to sit down and really flesh this out more but I really think this could work out. Red Dead Redemption 3, John's path to becoming the man we came to love in Red Dead Redemption. A man who would sacrifice all for his family.
I’m not going to lie, I am more excited for Red Dead Redemption 3 than I am for GTA 6.

They could have had a cattleman role and had us go on a cattle drive to make money, just like that one mission in the story.
agreed It is an amazing game it is the the definitive wild west online game, so its a shame that they didn't care much about it
Having all of Mexico down there in RDR2 with only John's Epilogue really says a lot about how much this game got abandoned.
You expect too much

That's true but we still don't know the fate of Sadie or Charles. We have a general idea but Sadie mentioned moving to South America and finding a husband and doing some bounty hunting. We also know that Rockstar cut big parts of Guarma out of RDR2, so they're sitting on tons of tropical island assets that went unused in the final version of RDR2 that could easily be used for South America

But I think they are well aware that their resources and time being transported on to some other title might be the best course of action considering they are already supporting gta 5 and how big of a game gta 6 is going to be
Meanwhile if they also start supporting RDR 2, it could be waste of precious time and resources.

You’re talking about RDO. They did give up on that, mostly.
RDR2 is a gem, and the work they put into the game is evident.

The only two games you'd ever need to play
They got so much money with GTA online they should be able to have both worked on at the same time
The biggest thing I would want in RDR3 is branch story lines.
Dam good idea. Thats what gaming needs anyway.
That would be more interesting to me
That would actually be sick dude, I’ve always thought they need to do a a whole different gang and maybe not even have a gang
Used to watch all of your red dead online videos. Glad to see you’re still succeeding and giving us great info. Keep up the great work man.
Ok hear me out:
Upon reflecting on shows like 1923 and Yellowstone, An intriguing plot could revolve around Jack in the 1920s.
One problem with this concept
The wild west has been Dead for a few years
@@Monkeyamingus777 agreed but then it wouldn’t be about the Wild West per say. More about the meeting point between traditional world views and industrial world views

a lot of people are underestimating mac callander and its quite surprising to me because mac is the closest thing to being the next protagonist because of the way the gang talks about him, and mac being the only van der lin member we do not see, nor know him on a personal level, wheras jenny and davey we know enough about them to know who they are exactly. mac callander is like this empty void in the gang thats super mysterious. it seems like rockstar already has plans for mac to be the next protag, but dont want to reveal too much because they want to get creative with him, makes sense why we dont know what he looks like, not even the clothes he wears, its as if we can customise him.

How much new mo-cap would they actually have to do? It's not like the mo-cap data gets "outdated".
The brain trust behind The Red Dead series has all left. I have no faith. Sorry Dutch

Yes that’s good the van de linde gang story is over

i always thought that i we’d ever get rdr3 it would probably be a prequel to rdr3 with mac callander as a protagonist, since in-game dialogues seem to tease it to be like this. but this is my personal thoughts, because mac is never seen once, we don’t know much about him, and the way they talk about him was “yeah he was bad but he was also kinda good”, to me that sounds like a description for a future protagonist. but who knows!
As always Hazard, great stuff.

Fr we need something new
Gavin would be the only true choice for a main character in RDR3
I just wanna play as jack Marston fighting in the trenches at the battle of verdun😢😂

1:34 why is Benjamin Byron Davis there💀
I personally don't want a multi character system like in GTA 5.
I just want rdr3 online to be as good as rdr2 online but with new content
Rdr2 online is garbage
I remember when there were no animals or NPCs in RDR2 online... the prices of goods changed... animals you killed disappeared.
Lyle Morgan's story, goes into young Arthur joining Dutch and Hosea
Bad idea
There’s nothing here man, I mean literally nothing lol.

How bout' Red Dead Revolver 2
With Jackie as a bounty hunter.
I feel like a story centered around the Glanton gang would be great to explore. Blood Meridian explores similar themes of how the brutality of man and living these outlaw lifestyles only lead to suffering for everyone involved. Plus having Mexico to explore further during the mid to late 1800s would be a great change
I really want a new gang or new protagonist in the 1850s

I just hope that they will create a new story rather than focusing on Van Der Linde gang again, maybe not even give it a title 'Redemption'
Edit: AND I HOPE they don't rush it because rdr2 cut content had so much potential, I don't care if we will have to wait a year more
I'll be a grandfather before RDR3 drops, and I don't even have kids.
I'm wondering if RDR3 will expand on the map they already have like they did the rd1, or just scrap everything and make something completely new. Id personally like to explore atleast some of those areas again in different periods.
Min 7:01 where is that mansion located?
Saint Denis.. probably the Mayors house..
It’s the Saint Denis town hall
If they stick with the Van Der Linde gang, go back to the beginning and run it right up to the Blackwater Massacre. It gives a chance to look at the rise and peak of the gang and still brings back a lot of fan favorite people while still leaving it open to go explore more areas and ideas. But for sure the RDR2 map should return, but with further additions.
8:16 damn they made Dutch look exactly like a young Steven Segal in this picture
There were so many opportunities to have John have another chapter in New Austin. If anything, it could’ve been DLC leading up to Ross eventually catching up to John and forcing him to hunt down his former gang members, leading to the intro for RDR1.
Reading these comments feels like a slap in the face. You guys don’t appreciate rdr2 & it shows 🤦♂️
Can’t wait for rdr3. I played it for the first time this month and wow this game gave me so much joy as much as gaming back during my childhood
i like the idea of going back further with the vdl gang. maybe playing as davey for a time leading up to the boat incident. it would keep with the trend of learning all the lore backwards, we would be playing as a character we already know the fate of, and we will FINALLY know what really went down on that boat
I mean I really would love to see how the gang got together and what happend in blackwater but It also be cool to see it from another point of view.
I think you could go a couple different directions:
- You could play a Native in the west who toes the line of savagery/honor in the midst of the west.
I think Dutch would be cool as a mc in rdr3
Imagine if they’d add in Trevor into the old western games💀💀 hed fit perfectly
