@@christopherbravo1813 I don't know about the culture of Altago but the cycle of rebirth and destruction for two separate millenias are definitely unneeded. The records of Iska had never changed for the past 200 years due to them being trapped in Stasis because of a very powerful barrier that protects them from the ravages of time and aging. And it shows that the Ancient Records of Iska does not say that they are to keep the balance of Altago intact by destroying and rebuilding it. The reason its very unneeded because the people that had a lot of regrets or children that hadn't been involved in these catastrophes will never see another light of day just because of the mistakes of the old people. @@christopherbravo1813 I finally get it now. The Final Boss which goes by the name "Rul-Ende", the Root of All Existence, is the reason why the cycle keeps on going time and time again. Hence, Tia and Scias told you that they aren't your true enemy but the thing they protect is. The reason why Rul-Ende is not evil or good in a way its because it behaves similar to a Colossal plant-like Titano that consumes the despair of the suffering souls of the people that died to the Winds of Destruction whenever there is an imbalance or negative energy is overflowing. Rul-Ende consumes that negative energy to sustain itself throughout many millenias and spits out empty, positive souls by which is normally sprung back to life to rebuild the Altago all over again. In order to call upon Rul-Ende, the Rite of Demise is to be enacted by the Elder of Iska to begin the process of destruction. But... this will not go the way as it is planned because the Dragon Warrior will intervene and try to halt the ritual by stopping the Eldress through gaining the blessings of the Five Dragons to defy fate. And so to counter this, the "Dual Blade of Iska" will now exterminate the Dragon Warrior threat to avoid them interrupting the ritual as planned. Thats why via Iskan tradition, the Dragon Warrior *MUST* lose in order to achieve balance in Altago once more.
Hey now, Elk is useful. I like his boomerang sword-tossing style quite a bit. XD Well done on this Ys run. Loved how you finished him off with Lunar Dragon Blade.
it's always amazing to watch your playthrough of the bosses. even though are characterst are on the same level, skills all caught up, best weapons, etc. you somehow can do a million times more damage in one sp attack
Real Men finish off Final Bosses solo. Congrats on the choice of finishing move by the way. I can't wait to get Ys Seven myself and to see what the next chapter in Adol's adventures will be like.
That was an epic final boss battle, and a nice throwback with Adol going solo. I have to say, i cried. I feel sad about the dragons too, they lost their job lol
This ending is also what happens to Ys II where The Land of Ys had no longer need for 8 priests, Black Pearl's Magic, and the Twin Goddesses. Its basically a different cultural difference since the Land of Ys is a lot more advanced than Altago.
It's the first YS Seven i made by luck...and I always remember the battle so epic (and the surprise they are using all the character for the final battle also..)
Just beat it on hard mode, that first time with Dogi's team was a hell of a time but after that it got easier. As long as I had a couple major singe target recovery items for Adol by the end I was ok. Speaking of which it was weird to have team battles and so many recovery items in a Ys game. I'm more used to the solo adventurer Adol.
That first phase used up all my healing items on hard, and I somehow beat it without any for Adol (Didn't have the revive artifact on him since I didn't think I needed it.). Took a while, but at least I found Adols phase much better than the first one. I felt like I could memories the patterns much easier with Adol.. The second phase took me only 3 tries or so, lol. I liked it, and the amount of healing items was nothing in comparison to MoC..

You should do more Ys games I would love to see you play The Oath in Felghana its a re-imagining of Ys 3 it is on both the PC through steam and psp (while not as impressive it dose have voice acting). Plus it has 2 incredibly hard optional boss fights and a difficulty level harder than nightmare, inferno. And since you like Dogi so much I think you should know that the story is mostly about him and his life before meeting Adol definitely a game any fan of the 'wall crusher' should play.
This last boss hp felt like unlimited saga's final boss for Kurt. Just an annoying war of attrition. Glad I could see the ending. Liked the rest of the game before the sanctums as it made dungeons kinda repetitive but playing as Geis was wish fulfillment. He was cool in ark of napishtim
+Mr. Variant They should've made it so you visit the altar and the sanctum at the same time. It wasn't that repetitive since the sanctum dungeons had different gimmicks than the altars' (also you get a shortcut to directly go to the altar) but the idea of visiting every area again turned people off.
