Bandai Namco said in their latest Tales livestream today they're gonna release more Tales of remasters consistently going forward, and already have a pipeline in place. Can't wait to see which Tales games they've chosen to bring back.
Ryza 1 & 2 were good (other than the synthesis...), 3 was very redundant. I'm hoping Yumia will do what Lightning Return did for FFXIII: focus on 1 character with a large # of abilities. You should really look into Lost Hellden & possibly Alzara Radiant Echoes.
When I told my husband Trails Through Daybreak II was out on Valentine’s Day he knew what I would be doing XD I’m can’t wait for the Atelier Yumia, Rune Factory, Tales of Graces f Remastered, Xenoblade Chronicles X Remastered and Trails in the Sky the 1st
I'm pretty excited for the new Rune Factory entry! Tides of Destiny is an all-time favorite! Having recently finished FC, I'm excited to experience again in its new fancy glory! Great video, dude! Lots to look forward to! 🎉
Really looking forward to Suikoden 1 & 2, Lunar 1 &2, and Trails in the Sky remake. I haven't ever played any of those! There goes all my free time next year lol.
First of all that color looks amazing on you. I can’t wait for expedition 33, I really need this game to deliver. A turn based game that looks like that is a dream to me.
So damn hype for claire obscur. This game is literally a love letter to the 30+ age people. I soooo hope it's not just pretty, but good as well. Also btw, how did you go over different kinds of "load" and didn't think of "overload".
My big 3 for 2025 are daybreak 2, expedition 33, and Yumia. Sky fc and xenoblade look good, but I don't have a switch and I'm not buying one this late in it's life cycle
I'm very excited. Pre-ordered Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth coming to PC and Steam Deck January 23rd. Loving all the JRPGs. Still playing ones from this year. Thanks for the video.
Currently playing through the Trails series and it’s one of the most cherished moments of my entire life. It’s just that good. I’ve been playing them in order and I’m currently on Cold Steel 1 and loving it. Very much looking forward to the Sky remake. Even though I just played the OG a few months ago I’m definitely playing the Remake.
The past five years has been a great time to be a Jrpg fan! Too many games too count but XCX, Trails in the Sky Remake, Claire Obscure and Atelier Yuma are just a few I can’t wait to play!
Daybreak II and Sky Remake are at the top of my list for 2025, and honestly, we could use a break so that I can get caught up on all the great games from 2022, 2023 and 2024 that I still have to play and haven't gotten around to yet. As for late 2025, I am firmly overdosing on the Kai No Kiseki 2025 release copium. If the delay between Daybreak I and Daybreak II is as large as the gap between Daybreak II and Kai, then Kai will arrive in October 2025, the Ys 10 release window from this year. Daybreak II and Sky Remake being confirmed for next year, and with Kai looming over the horizon, make this one hell of a time to be a trails fan.
If I'm not mistaken Fantasy Life was supposed to come out around the same time as Echoes of Wisdom. Level-5 was wise to push back their release date because they would've had a tough time reaching launch sale goals. Unfortunately, with the extra time I now have to compare Fantasy Life to other games in this genre I see other people streaming online makes me feel that this game might be too childish for me (in terms of: cartoony graphics, mini games, and overall story). The only things I have left to look forward to in this game is: the multiplayer online experience, and hopefully decent home/town customization. I haven't had the pleasure of owning a PSP and the story for 'Freedom Wars Remastered' sounds pretty cool, thanks for putting it on my radar.
I knew Trails would be on this list! Trails is a series I've been playing almost exclusively for a better part of 2024. I'm currently on Cold Steel 4 so I'm getting closer to being caught up... though I confess I skipped Sky 3rd 😬. I picked up the first Atelier Sophie and Ryza games but have yet to play either of them. It's certainly a series I'm interested in but my backlog has prevented me from diving in. I do agree that I find myself drawn a bit more to Yumia as well.
I feel you on that rune factory thing. I really want to play and beat so the Xenoblade games I already own. I just haven't had the time yet. But I really want to play and like the series. I'm hoping 2025 that I just strap in and play them in order.
The Real JRPG Heads know these are the games they must BUY in 2025, while playing games they bought previously but haven't gotten around to because, at most, we can play, what, 12 JRPGs a year?
Trails, DQ, & Suikoden all coming next year is big, but the rest of the year is fairly standard imo. I doubt 2025 comes anywhere close to this year for me and that's okay. Games like Eiyuden, DQ3, Trails, SMTV, Metaphor, P3R, Sea of Stars, Unicorn, Like a Dragon....damn, 2024 was god-tier.
If you enjoy Danganronpa like me I'd highly recommend Master Detectives Archives: Rain Code. Its incredibly overlooked and underrated and is made by the same people. It recently released on PS5 so its not just on Switch anymore and its absolutely worth your time
I want a Lunar 3 and get the those answers that we are waiting for. Like why Eternal Blue (aka Earth froze over). edit: And I hope Suikoden two gets rid of that must do everything in 19 hours to finish clive's story garbage. I absolutely HATED that about suikoden 2. I got the game to enjoy it, not faceroll the whole damn thing. And there is no game shark to reset my time to allow me to play for 250 hours and still do Clive's story, let's hope that part is gone or mod makers do their magic.
I understand how you feel, but there some of us that missed all of these titles over the years. I played The Legend of Dragoon at release and loved it. It was my first JRPG. Since then, I hadn't touched a JRPG until the Nintendo Switch era, so these games coming back have been some of my favorite games of all time. Take Romancing Saga 2 Revenge of the Seven for example. I would have never played it but because they remade it, it became my game of the year this year.
As someone just now getting into rpgs, this is exciting as it gives me an opportunity to experience the past with a bit of the hype that comes with new game releases. However yeah... I can imagine the extreme frustration that there isn't much new. I am sure this is due to the switch 2 being right around the corner so they are holding all the fresh IPs hostage. I really hope the switch 2 has a rush of new games the first year!
So, did you actually play any of the plethora of New games that came out this year, or did you only buy the remakes and "endless sagas" so you could post this comment.
2025 looking good! I especially can't wait for the trails remakes, the liberl arc was my favorite.

"Loaded Plus, Loaded EX, Super Loaded?" This sounds like a nice weekend! ;)
So damn hype for claire obscur. This game is literally a love letter to the 30+ age people. I soooo hope it's not just pretty, but good as well. Also btw, how did you go over different kinds of "load" and didn't think of "overload".
Fun vid, I'm excited for xbcX , atelier and the trails 1 remake
I'm most excited for Clair Obscur, with the Trails of the Sky, Lunar and Suikoden remakes as a joint 2nd. 😊
My big 3 for 2025 are daybreak 2, expedition 33, and Yumia. Sky fc and xenoblade look good, but I don't have a switch and I'm not buying one this late in it's life cycle
Brother, you are great to watch and your game room is banging! Keep making great videos!
Dude, I audibly gasped at Freedom Wars! I had no idea this was in the works! Damn, I’m excited!

Me feeling a bit down. "Oh cool, a new video." Branden : "DEATH IS INEVITABLE, and also some good jrpgs are coming out in 2025!"
You want a melancholy Atelier game, play the Dusk trilogy.
The past five years has been a great time to be a Jrpg fan! Too many games too count but XCX, Trails in the Sky Remake, Claire Obscure and Atelier Yuma are just a few I can’t wait to play!

So excited for most of them 💙
Looking forward to Trails, Ys and the norms but expedition 33 is the one I'm probably most hyped for.

So excited to play Sky FC and the epilogue for Xenoblade X!!

I’ve seen all from 1980-Now I have every console and tons of games these are some good games here
I feel you on that rune factory thing. I really want to play and beat so the Xenoblade games I already own. I just haven't had the time yet. But I really want to play and like the series. I'm hoping 2025 that I just strap in and play them in order.

That my favorite big one is daybreak 2, sky fc and also Xenoblade I love it so much. A lot of new games to play
OMG I'm *SO* excited for the Trails in the Sky remake!! It looks good and Estelle = Bestelle!
Xenoblade X all the way for me next year!
I totally agree and am sort of looking forward to a slower year that gives me time to play many of those games I didn't get to this year 😊
If you enjoy Danganronpa like me I'd highly recommend Master Detectives Archives: Rain Code. Its incredibly overlooked and underrated and is made by the same people. It recently released on PS5 so its not just on Switch anymore and its absolutely worth your time
H man. Love hate with that game. The town, overworld is cool, gathering clues. But the maze is such a silly turnoff
The rpgs of 2025......that we know of atm!😊
True true, excited for what new ones 2025 will reveal too 🤩
I want a Lunar 3 and get the those answers that we are waiting for. Like why Eternal Blue (aka Earth froze over).

Maybe I'll play Clair Obscur in French if they can get a Québécois dub
Oh shit didnt know sky was getting remade
first revealed for the fall nintendo direct 2024 for 5 seconds during a sizzle reel, such disrespect lol....
Longer you live the shorter the days and years are proportionally to your life. 1st year was 100%
Just don’t shave that beard in 2025 and we good.
Lunar!!!!!!
I already have most of these games😂
I need xenosaga
So sick of remakes and endless sagas. Just want something new.
I'd rather pay $56 for remake of a game that cost $200 to $300 on the after market to buy.
I understand how you feel, but there some of us that missed all of these titles over the years.

Then don’t buy them you and the other bots say the same shit. Literally don’t buy remakes or endless sage. Play Fortnite.
So, did you actually play any of the plethora of New games that came out this year, or did you only buy the remakes and "endless sagas" so you could post this comment.
