It's nice to see that people still enjoy going into the office. As someone who spends 30 percent of my time in classroom/office and then the rest in the community, I am tired of hearing about people wanting to work from home and not settling for anything less.
Cuz this guy has NOT much work to do. He is hired directly from school as Junior level 1 consult . He prob just check on project progress for 1-2 clients thats it. N just report for that n if clients ask for anything, he will make a ticket n PASS it to level 2, 3, senior ppl constants to trouble shoot. :) Ppl work for BIG FOUR cant go to office cuz they WORK 10-15 hours a DAY Everyday they DONT Have the time to dress well, travel, go to office to make video,. Its Constant. A lot of them at hOme, u bring food to their table the are like eating 1 hr later. Clender booked 9am-5pm straight solid 8 hr no washroom break. Mutiple clients all for major corporation. Things come cant just “i am off work now i am going to Goodlife gym”. Junior level ppl get in too early if not put to big tasks they stuck n get bored n usually quit. Yeah,,,if he works his way up to Senior consultant , or management. He’d be looking for 24/7 GoodLife on YOnge street, cuz thats the only place he can still go when finish work at 10pm n like go to workout 11pm, not get kicked out of gym. Lol

I am planning to study maths from scratch again cause am out of touch then increase my stats skills and take a masters in business analytics w/ relevant technical skills (excel, power point, SQL, SAS, R, and Tableu), and do an online diploma course in marketing or psychology. I considered information systems as my diploma but it's too much info to clumped up in a diploma and there is too much to learn from scratch so will stick to business. Do you think that is the right path? Should I take a diploma in finance or economics or accounts? Analytical skills are very versatile but I need good business domain skills or iT skills and I am confused on what diploma I should enroll for while working full time. I really wished I didn't spend all my money in my under grad without learning a technical skill, I would love to settle in Canada or Australia. Big skyscrapers, working in huge officers always excited me but really had a tought life to make it out there.
I am a retired chemical engineer 70 years old and now I am a Export and Import consultant ..looking for chemicals products and row materials in many countries....I work in my house by whassasp. cellular and mail..It is a very interesting ocupations...I speak english..spanish and italians languages and now l am studing french and germany ..in Valencia .Venezuela...
My dad was import/export consultant in china. The VERY large companies the managers in charge are --elite in their field n B.U.SY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They work in major projects constantly needs new patch new plan b plan c plan d,,,,alter, its high stressful work. Cuz the shipping, wearhouse, booking truck, boat, re docking all have to be done 6 months ahead of time. Lol to Ensure things arrive on time 1 thing goes wrong everything falls apart lol. 😅
Do you need to graduate with a specific degree before you can become a consultant? (e.g. I graduated with a degree related to healthcare, but I want to enter into this type of work) Hope you can create more vids about your work :)
definitely not! consulting is really broad so a lot of people join from non-business backgrounds. Some consulting firms also specialize in the healthcare industry so your background would be really relevant

My GMAT score is 720 and I am looking into apply for MBA in Canada next year (top 3 only rotman Toronto,ubc vancuover) My only concern is do the consulting companies hire MBA grads who had experience in another field (I worked in the software segment for 3 years) If not I will prefer doing the MBA from USA instead

I use mainly Excel but I'm trying to learn SQL 😅 haven't had to use Power BI/Tableau but I know some projects need it!

I studied finance & economics but you can join consulting from any background! Going back to business school (for an MBA, etc.) can help a lot though
