Intresting, we do this all the time , balance is a very over looked aspect in most wing chun schools they have very poor balance and because the balance is bad so is the footwork. In these videos alan is the heavier guy moving forward most of the time . Can we see a much heavier training partner using more resistance. Being allowed to do all the moving forwards so we can see the applications of stances and footwork whilst being forced back whilst remaining in the stand up style . Thank you ☯️

@@alanorrwingchunacademy that's cool thanks for reply , maybe i could explain better, applying this against when the opponent is rapidly moving forward with kicks and take downs, how to deal with very aggressive larger opponents using mma type of attacking, thank you ☯️

This is Chi Sao, but we do mix in takedowns as I am a BJJ Black belt and I wrestle. I have taught MMA fighters for over 25 years. Check out my other clips, I have a number that have a mix of skills included.

@alanorrwingchunacademy1302 yes sir , I do understand that, and I have watched your videos and know sone of your history. Thanks for your reply , I think I'm asking, could we see how you could just apply wing chun against that type of attack ot do we have to cross train to compensate? I've cross trained to compensate. I've done about 25 years of wing chun, other styles and grappling and only asking out of interest and content creation. Thank you .

There are so many situations. They are on my courses. The main thing is to understand body structure control., which is not a simple area. Then you must understand the attacks which are many. Wing Chun has good elbow positioning, so that is important, grip control, Cog, Timing and much more

Sifu - what's your opinion on CST wing chun? How are they able to generate immence force without using the ground or move their joints freely even if someone grabs them tightly?
