I can't stand ticks.....they serve absolutely no purpose on this Earth except to spread disease. When I pull a tick off me I get the creepy crawlies for the rest of the day LOL

@@1Rod1ReelFishing I live in TX near a pond that has warning signs of Rattlesnakes so I asked a guy who who walking thru the overgrown grass if he ever worried about the snakes and he said, "I just don't think about them". I wonder if this is some kind of law of attractions at play here.
I know this question wasn't meant for me but I just grab them up a toss them to the side and keep fishing I have even grabbed up timber Rattlers and tossed them out of the way while hiking in my neck of the woods but that's only if I see them before they know I'm there
Good video. If you go to Walmart, they have what is called "Sawyer" in the sporting goods section. Just spray your clothes and ticks will jump off faster than they jumped on. Wouldn't go in the woods without it,
I fished one pond and we pulled out 58 1.5lbs bass, nothing bigger and nothing smaller it was weird. We ate one and saw that within the meat there was a harmless parasite that prevents them from growing large.
I couldn't tell where this was from watching the video last night but I happened to drive right by this spot running an errand this morning. Sometimes luck>GoogleEarth lol
I've been fishing that pond for a couple years. There's a ton of small bass in it. It's stocked with gills and small bass to control mosquitos. Never caught anything bigger than a pound.

Just bought my first baitcast reel and I have a question. When setting the hook, do you place your thumb on the reel for a solid hookset?
No need, if you’re using a single hook bait that requires a strong hook set, your drag should be pretty tight already
Shurmash you shouldn’t have to put your finger on the spool, as long as your drag is set accordingly.
