We can’t wait to show you next week’s RV reno update!
    Thanks for watching and sticking with us. We are super grateful you are here!

    Of course your dad would have an amazing tractor 😍😍 Amazing door window nook 😂 The floor looks absolutely AMAZING! 😱🥰 I love how you’re working on the floors at 3am, and then you uploaded this video at like 4am 🤣
    So every time I’ve installed vinyl floors, I always just used a simple blade knife to score the top where I wanted it to cut and then it would snap really easily and quickly... I guess for all those angle cuts you had to do, it was worth using that cutting tool, but for the straight cuts... I think you’ll find it pretty easy to just snap it next time. Maybe these were different types of floors though 🤷🏻‍♂️
    And btw, I loved the longer style of this!!!!!!

    • @TheLiveOutLoudFamily
      @TheLiveOutLoudFamily  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha thanks so much for watching! It’s been nice having all these tools available!
      I didn’t touch the floors because I’m sure they would have been destroyed 🤣, but Chris compared the angles and putting in the floor in the RV to a jigsaw puzzle hand cut by a sleepy toddler 🙃😂. Is that what you put in your house in Chicago? We love the way it looks and the durability! 💕❤️

    I have a question. When you make a cut across the vinyl plank that changes the end of it to not accept the next plank correctly. The rubber edge on one side of plank that sticks out has no cavity to go into when placing them end to end cause the previous piece was cut and therefore lost that cavity/slot for the next plank to seat into. Don't know if I made myself clear. But I need to know how to fix that. If they just sit end to end there is no connection there.

    • @TheLiveOutLoudFamily
      @TheLiveOutLoudFamily  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello 👋 I think I understand what you are asking. So when working across, left to right, you will lose a few pieces here and there when you get to the end of a row, you should always be able to link the top and left piece into the next plank. Some of the scrap pieces you might be able to save and use if you have small areas to fill.

    • @kathyweber793
      @kathyweber793 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheLiveOutLoudFamily Thank you for your reply. I do know the top and bottom can link together but the left or right end of the plank is the issue I'm having. They don't interlock above or below the piece that they sit next to.

    Just wondering what kind of water barrier you put between the sub floor and the vinyl? Moisture can get between where the vinyl planks meet and buckle your sub floor. But thought maybe the sub floor was water proof (exterior grade). Love the choose of color and planks. Can't wait to see what's next.

    Did the glue hold up on the bullnose trim piece on the slide? I glued mine twice and it keeps coming off. Tried to Brad nail it but there is metal under the slide. Trying to figure out a new solution. Maybe small metal screws. They just need to be short or they will dig into the flooring when slide comes in.
