  • We travel to Leesburg, Georgia the home of Luke Bryan, Buster Posey, Phillip Philips, and Miss Georgia 2013, Carley Mathis. We talk about how Leesburg has grown from 350 to over 3000. We talk about the closing of Fred's. We also talk about the good school system.

Howdy from another person from Leesburg! If you don't mind a slower and friendlier pace come on down... but... don't bring your big city here we don't want it. It's a very different culture to be honest. We eat fried food, hunt and farm the land, and give thanks on Sunday's for what we have. We love our space and value not having a hustle and bustle lifestyle.

Leesburg has excellent schools. There are not a lot of jobs. If you work remotely, or you don't mind traveling 15 minutes or so to Albany, you will be fine. Thank you for watching our video.

@@travelingwithhubert3240 ok! Schools make no difference. But it seems like there are gyms in the area and work relatively close. In NC/SC it seems pretty sparse in places.

You also can own freedom launchers and pump your own gas. Freedom anyone?

Lives there as a little girl from 1991 to 2001. Don't do it. Fond nostalgic memories but only because I was a kid but there's literally nothing there. You have to go to the next town Albany for anything. Maybe one grocery store and 3 stoplights. Really small and a nothing town no offense to anyone.

@@2handle.My family is still down there so I visit quite often. Born and raised. My mom side of the family is from Lee.
Publix shopping center is right next to my mom house. It’s grown since the 90s not rapid growth but enough to notice. Next to my mom subdivision urgent care, 24 hour pediatric urgent care as well. chick fila, sushi, coffee shops, etc. Lee/Albany has Pho and Thai food and other eats. Shopping has gone a bit downhill a bit. But everything I find here living outside of Atlanta I find when I go back home.
Now the city of Leesburg hasn’t changed much. They have added a few more schools. But, Lee County is beginning to get some nice little pockets of business. 2024 still visit home.

I live in Americus. I started about 8 months ago from scratch. I have been doing local places because of covid. We have been as far as Indian Springs. Good to hear from another adventurer.

One of the best things about this area if you want to go out of town somewhere within a 2-3 hour radius you can go to north to Atlanta east to Savannah, south towards Tallahassee or Panama City it’s a great place remotely

Another comment that I missed. Sorry about that. A two to three hour trip is about all we can handle right now.
