For some of us, Karl Marx's works were well read when we were younger (Manifesto/Capital, etc.) - and at least an overview had to be known at school. Have you visited Marx and Engel's desk at Chethams library Rimas? It's kept as it was. "The Condition of the Working Class in England" was written there.
