i hope what i have to say may answer some of your question bud but i got a pair of husqvarna's 1 bein 450eii and the other being a 450 rancher both outfitted with a 20 inch chains and bars and ive had no probl cutting through 60 cm thick logs for firewood wise and for oil wise i usually just get whatever 50:1 mix i can find and the same goes for bar and chain oil

I wouldn't it done that and a small bog down because probably the first time starting it up it had to warm up a bit and shoot gas through the new parts But my poulan pros never done that on they're first start ups out of the box or the bog down I think his just needed to warm up
That's not how you start a saw. That's how you destroy your starter rope
I'm looking at a husqvarna 450, but there are no screws on the hood but a quick release system. What do you think about that??

Until now I've never thought of getting a new saw, but considering my 450 was built in 2012 I think it might be time to retire the old warrior.
If your old saw still works fine don't replace it, old saws are better than new ones.

Cool.....did they improve its oilpump....or do you still have to drill trough pump body with 3mm drillbit? To fatten its oil delivery :)
