Hilton Head is SUPER Family Friendly! // Westin Hilton Head + Salty Dog Cafe

There's a reason why we keep coming back: Hilton Head is super family friendly! We come here every few years and always have the best time. We usually stay in the Port Royal on Hilton Head Island for a couple reasons. First, the Westin Hilton Head has the best pool, hands down. It's not even a contest. And when we're going on a beach vacation with a toddler - nice pool is our top priority! This is also our favorite beach on Hilton Head Island. It does get a bit crowded during peak summer hours, but you can always find some great shells and it's beautiful!
When we visit Hilton Head, we also have to go to Salty Dog. Sure, it's touristy and we typically don't eat at super touristy restaurants. But we LOVE the atmosphere here. Live music, shops, seafood, outdoor tables, boats to gawk at. It's one of our favorite spots on the island.
If you come visit, check out the Port Royal and the pool at the Westin. Protip: many of the surrounding condos have pool privileges at the Westin so you can spread out in a condo, but also have the awesome pool during the day. It's the best of both worlds!

Kids are always getting sand everywhere! My kids roll in it and make sand angles. Hilton head looks really nice

Haha that's awesome! I don't know what it is about it, but they are drawn to it. Sand angels sound pretty awesome. Our little one is just now starting to figure out that it doesn't feel so good when you put it in the eyes.
