Hi PokeBeard I have been saving up my money for Christmas to buy the Japanese 151 Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur SARs but I am scared if the prices will fluctuate as high as the english ones or go down. Do you think I should wait and buy it or buy it as soon as I get the money.
I went crazy with the 151 restock at Walmart and now I just have so many collections box’s and poster collections taking up space. Am I losing a lot of value if I just break them all down to loose packs so I can get some space back? Or is keeping everything sealed the better long term play?

I’ve given myself around $150 a month for Pokemon investing with the idea to hold these sealed products for 5-10 years to either give to my kids when they’re older and/or sell. With that kind of budget, what would you recommend for investing? I know booster boxes are king, so I would assume at least one booster box a month, but with the extra $10-$60 a month would you recommend picking up booster bundles of other sets that I may not get a booster box of? Save it to eventually get an additional booster box? Get one Pokemon center ETB every other month or so? Thanks!

Whether for a Market Monday or What if Wednesday, take a look at some regular scarlet violet promo cards (OF charmander, 151 snorlax, etc). The 151 snorlax having a TCGplayer market value of $1 compared to the PC version nearly at $100, I expect the regular promo to catch up soon.

If you get a card that's super beat up, and you send it in to be graded and it gets a 2 would you crack it, bend that mf in half and then send it back for a 1? When the price difference between a 2 and a 1 is a hundred dollars roughly? Some 1's value at almost what 10s do and a 2 grade doesnt do me any good at all.

I recently bough a psa 10 2022 vstar rainbow Charizard for around $130, I know the market has sort of stagnated for the card over the past year or so. Game stop just start submitting cards to Psa 15$ if u have a pro subscription, which is $25 a year and you could submit any TCG or sports and you could do one card or as many as you want no extra fees as long as u pay the one time fee of 25$.
Whats up with the term market manipulation when talking about pokemon? Isnt it pretty bonkers to think there is alot of manipulation going on with physical item trading at all? Also, these cards are sold on open cardmarkets, there is no aftermarket trading, pump n dumps, spoofing, bear raids, frontrunning, etc etc. Its just not manageble with physical item trading in any large scale?

The reason the Greninja grew on people is that it's a super cool, super colorful portrayal of a fan favorite, not just that it's expensive and people like expensive things. I think you investor types need to talk with more artists and super fans, lol.
As someone who reads thousands of comments every week. You're wrong. The number of people who thought the greninja was ugly and so hard to read and looked like one of the colorful shirts you get at a boardwalk. If a card is cool and beautiful it's liked as soon as we see it. It's just so strange that as soon as it gets manipulated. Which was proven to be 100% true people all of a sudden started to love the card. Also, there is nobody in this hobby that's a bigger fan of pokemon than me.

I'm listening to real people who collect for the joy of collecting, not cynical keyboard warriors who trash every hyped card they see. The art of this Greninja reminds me of splatter painting or intense impressionism. It's a very different look for a card. People like that. People make custom slab holders for this Greninja specifically. There might be some manipulation - like there is with many cards - but the Greninja wouldn't hold this kind of price and get this kind of attention if people didn't actually love it. The demand is largely organic, my friend. I'm not going to respond to the biggest Pokemon fan thing, lol.
@SpringBudEyes I literally read comments for a living my guy. I comment back to every single person that comments to me. I watch the other 14 investor channels and real all the comments. I watch the top 10 opening channels and read the comments just to know what cards people are liking. I get probably 20 emails and 30 dms a day. Most people dont read thousands of comments a week. But imagine thinking that if someone doesn't like a card, they're cynical keyboard warriors and not real people. They make custom boarders for a ton of cards. I can get one for the mew sir promo that cost $10 lol and basically any Sir. I also proved this in so many videos that the greninja was 100% manipulated. So many fake sales from brand new accounts. I messaged over 100 different sellers and nobody was paying for the actual greninja card. Went to card shows that first month and nobody was buying the greninjas at those prices. Tcg player literally came out and said cards were being manipulated. Im going off of actual research i have done when im guessing you havent done any research. I was literally keeping track of how many people actually said that they loved the card and would pay over $200. It's now somewhat organic, but that's only because of how it got hyped up and people love hyped up things. You can comment on the biggest fan thing. You were the one who brought up that I need to listen to super fans lol. Please tell me what channel has all these super fans that i need to listen too? A true super fan doesn't automatically love everything like a consoomer.

I think this will be a good set medium/long term - so many good baby shiny's etc to collect

If you get a card that's super beat up, and you send it in to be graded and it gets a 2 would you crack it, bend that mf in half and then send it back for a 1? When the price difference between a 2 and a 1 is a hundred dollars roughly? Some 1's value at almost what 10s do and a 2 grade doesnt do me any good at all.
What do you think is best to sell if the time and work wasn't a huge issue, A whole case of something vs selling them all individually?

The artist, Shinji Kanda, has put out other ultra popular cards like the Magikarp from Paldea Evolved and the Giratina from lost origins. These cards seem to be greatly loved and the art is so unique. I've been trying to seek out the most minty copies I can find since they are so cheap currently. Any speculations that this card is flying under the radar? Could we potentially see this thing take off after the release of the Magnaton promo from Surging Sparks (same artist)? Thoughts???
I recently bough a psa 10 2022 vstar rainbow Charizard for around $130, I know the market has sort of stagnated for the card over the past year or so. Since its a Charizard Im assuming it may increase overtime and gain value back, any thoughts on this? I doubt I'll sell it regardless because it's my first graded card I've ever bought and Im not well versed in market trends/investing so I was curious, keep up the great videos!!

Yo I got the Venusaur ex SAR from 151 in a PSA 10 about 1.5-2 months ago for around $135 (a great deal I thought) and now I see it selling for $250+ on eBay! 151 is going crazy!

Did you hear about Gamestop submitting cards to PSA for $15 a card? Would you ever trust Gamestop to handle your cards? My local card shop sends cards to SGC, but they are all knowledgeable about the hobby. Not sure how I would feel about trusting a random Gamestop employee with my cards.

Hey beard ! Love that every day I get to drive to work and listen to some poke-talk! So I’m not a huge fan of Twilight Masquerade. I think it’s overhyped and that there’s really only one card in it anyone wants. I think the DLC trainer secret illustration rares are some of the most overpriced cards in all scarlet and violet. How much more do you think the Kieran , Carmine and Perrin will fall?
Game stop just start submitting cards to Psa 15$ if u have a pro subscription, which is $25 a year and you could submit any TCG or sports and you could do one card or as many as you want no extra fees as long as u pay the one time fee of 25$.

Whats up with the term market manipulation when talking about pokemon? Isnt it pretty bonkers to think there is alot of manipulation going on with physical item trading at all?
Also, these cards are sold on open cardmarkets, there is no aftermarket trading, pump n dumps, spoofing, bear raids, frontrunning, etc etc.
Its just not manageble with physical item trading in any large scale?

The reason the Greninja grew on people is that it's a super cool, super colorful portrayal of a fan favorite, not just that it's expensive and people like expensive things. I think you investor types need to talk with more artists and super fans, lol.

As someone who reads thousands of comments every week. You're wrong. The number of people who thought the greninja was ugly and so hard to read and looked like one of the colorful shirts you get at a boardwalk. If a card is cool and beautiful it's liked as soon as we see it. It's just so strange that as soon as it gets manipulated. Which was proven to be 100% true people all of a sudden started to love the card.
Also, there is nobody in this hobby that's a bigger fan of pokemon than me.

I'm listening to real people who collect for the joy of collecting, not cynical keyboard warriors who trash every hyped card they see. The art of this Greninja reminds me of splatter painting or intense impressionism. It's a very different look for a card. People like that. People make custom slab holders for this Greninja specifically. There might be some manipulation - like there is with many cards - but the Greninja wouldn't hold this kind of price and get this kind of attention if people didn't actually love it. The demand is largely organic, my friend.

@SpringBudEyes I literally read comments for a living my guy. I comment back to every single person that comments to me. I watch the other 14 investor channels and real all the comments. I watch the top 10 opening channels and read the comments just to know what cards people are liking. I get probably 20 emails and 30 dms a day. Most people dont read thousands of comments a week.
But imagine thinking that if someone doesn't like a card, they're cynical keyboard warriors and not real people. They make custom boarders for a ton of cards. I can get one for the mew sir promo that cost $10 lol and basically any Sir. I also proved this in so many videos that the greninja was 100% manipulated. So many fake sales from brand new accounts. I messaged over 100 different sellers and nobody was paying for the actual greninja card. Went to card shows that first month and nobody was buying the greninjas at those prices. Tcg player literally came out and said cards were being manipulated. Im going off of actual research i have done when im guessing you havent done any research. I was literally keeping track of how many people actually said that they loved the card and would pay over $200. It's now somewhat organic, but that's only because of how it got hyped up and people love hyped up things.
You can comment on the biggest fan thing. You were the one who brought up that I need to listen to super fans lol. Please tell me what channel has all these super fans that i need to listen too? A true super fan doesn't automatically love everything like a consoomer.
