She had to be a gorgeous young girl with the great example you give. Such a brilliant style off. Hands down Lyla rocked everything, she's super cool, trendy and dressing looks easy for her. Great to give all those vintage pieces a new home. And I love that her jewellery and clothes have meaning to her. 💕
The two of you remind me of me and my mum. I lived with her for 2 years after I graduated from university. When I moved out we jokingly referred to it as a "divorce." We had to divide our wardrobes and there was banter back and forth about who it belonged to, but who actually wore it. And like the two of you, we styled the same pieces quite differently. I still borrow pieces everytime I am home, and as Lyla grows older I suspect she will do the same.

So reminded me of my daughter who used to Nick my clothes a lot got so annoyed when her and she stlll does when she comes back to stay, I now see it as a compliment as a 69 year old and my daughter now 38! daughters are very precious. Love Lylas styling x

Trinny you're so fortunate to have Lyla as a daughter, although I'm sure you're parenting has a lot to do with it :-) It's so refreshing to see a teenager who is not obsessed with fakeness and showing as much skin as possible (Love Island girls I'm looking at you). She has real class and depth of personality as well as terrific fashion sense, of course!

Great video ladies. I laughed a lot on this, you two are funny together. I love how you styled clothes differently and both look great of course. Lyla has a keen eye for items to expand her wardrobe and knows her unique style. My favourites outfits on on Lyla were Prada dress, Isabel marant jacket and the me&em yellow jacket ensembles. All were so young and fresh. I'm closer to your age trinny and would wear some of your ideas but toned down the brightness. I can't wait to see the next one.

Lyla is so so so adorable and beautiful. I love how she stills your stuff:-))) I feel so happy when my nieces still from me:-))) one of them has such an amazing and sofisticated sense of estetics. I feel so so proud to see how at 12 is capable to find the most elegant item in a shop.and it is her favourite. I am like her or she is like me. Understated, subtile and when she wants to play she transforms into a little young lady who looks like she had tea with the queen.

I am sorry to say Trinny, Lyla wore the green sweater/top better. She, however, is an utterly gorgeous teenage girl who could make a bin bag look great, lol. Loved it when Lyla said "you're vintage" ! One of my sons used to say to "Mum, back in the olden days, when you were alive..." Kids are wonderful!!!

Lylas sense of fashion is very 90s, I was a teenager then and kind of tomboyish. Looks good on her figure. Also, a womans body changes as she ages so it's nice to see the younger generation steal stuff from their mother's closets of items that are no longer loved, but to them it is gold.
I think you both look good in the green sweater. You should share it. How great would it be to be a young girl with a mother that has a history of great clothes from designers old and new. I hope Layla realizes how lucky she is
