This has to be my favourite Closet Confessions this year: I love florals a lot and... Lucy is back! I so enjoyed this episode of Closet Confessions; Lucy asks such interesting questions, I think I missed that ever since she went on maternity leave. Although I think Jemima and Molly were lovely together too. Loved the dresses; I think Boden is an interesting brand to watch!

I especially like that all pink outfit for Trinny. The long white chiffon one with embroidered flowers is amazing and the belt is perfect cause looks like part of the dress but improves the lines. Then the abstract petals pink one with beautiful back looks so, so nice. And the fave green one does have a very special color palette. These videos inspire me to try wide a-line jeans. Looks comfier than skinny jeans. I'm curious why warm lipsticks seem to work on Trinny. When Trinny wears cool color clothes usually like silvers and cool brights and cool neons. I really love this concept of a product that works on both lips and cheeks. That makes color coordination wayyyyy easier. Maybe a line of matching nail polishes would be awesome!
This was fun, Trinny. If I may make a suggestion, rather than just focusing on what works on you, perhaps discuss who looks good in florals and who does not? How they work for different body shapes, colour palettes and style personalities? That would be really useful. XOX
Yes, would like to hear about how dress codes and suggestions are interpreted. Are you familiar with funerals in Hawaii (and other formal events) that say “aloha attire”? We know about Hawaiian prints, love the alternative to black, but…what would Trinny do? (One is always asking.)

My dear here is consolation...you WILL retire one day...I DID. I was a unifersity adminostrator and had to dress like a banker...womems sedate business suit PANTYHOSE AND COURT SHOES...my last year working at 49 yay, I told my staff Im going to have a bonfire of the pantyhose and shoes 1997.Three mps later I was wearing shorts and bathing suits in the Caribbean for a decade sailing. Then a house abroad in the tropics...I shifted to dresses like these...boho loose flowy, sandals and any other thing I pleased YOU CAN TOO so on bad days ayt work weatherwise or work wise give yourself some comforting thoughts males it easier too to save for retirement too knowing it will be spent on your heart's desire, whatever that is for YOU, bet it isnt pantyhose!!!!
That citrus dress your first instinct was best with the surprise use of the matching belt. One of those occasions where it really worked. Kept the focus on your face. As soon as you changed the belt your face receded again and components were fighting with each other.
ow my gawd i didnt know there's so many ways you can mix and match florals! i have always thought florals are a disaster! i have learned sooooo much! thank you so much for the in-depth knowledge
The next dress from French connection Trinny do you have similar to that necklace and Africa collar necklace they usually come right up under the neck some times in gold or fabric in different colours even one solid colour that may be an option if you understand what I mean sorry if it's confusing I wish there was a way I can send you a picture 😁🤣😁

There’s something about the shine of the fabric of dresses like the one at 21:00 that reads as outdated. I wonder if it’s polyester or a silk/satin. It may just be on camera, but it’s like mother of the bride. The cotton and more natural looking fabrics look better with floral, IMO. Love the color, though, but I think fabric matters with floral. ❤️💐

If I was to dip my toe in with a blouse, like the idea of the Boden blouse with the trousers, is there a rule or guide to what the solid colour on the bottom should be? For example should it be the same as the background color on the blouse or can it work with a color in the print?
