@@azmike1956 YES! Another fan :) Best mascot, personality, etc. We always went to the games when we knew he'd be there. Loved how his acts got better and better.
@@mbrow if you can remember this far back the KGB-FM DJ's were called the boss jocks. Some friends of mine & I decorated a "jock" strap for them which was displayed in their lobby. Don't forget the KGB Sky show on 4th of July & coreographed to ELP's "Fanfare for Modern Man". What a great time! Graduated from Granite Hills HS in '74. We were able to play (band) at a game Ted was at. 😊👍
@@azmike1956 I remember the first KGB Sky Show, over San Diego Bay. It was HUGE because the fireworks were in time with the music on the boom boxes everyone had, which I think was a first. Now, simulcast is common. I can still hear the DJ saying, "Turn your radios up loud. The KGB Sky Show is about to begin" over and over. I THINK that Cheap Trick's song Surrender was the first song played. I've loved that song ever since. I'm Coronado High School class of '77. That sounds so fun about your proudly-displayed jock strap at the station, and that you played a game Ted was at. I was a choir and drama geek, so we had very close ties with our bandmates. Stay healthy Mike!
Grew up in SD in the 70's. The KGB chicken was the best mascot of all time.
Tommy Lasorda vs SD Chicken were epic battles!
All of the THUMBS DOWN came from Real Chickens.
