In today's video, I am taking you through a short and busy week in my life as an elementary teacher! In this vlog, I try to share a few lesson ideas that you may be able to bring to your own classroom. We talk about the 215 children who were recently found and the history of residential schools in Canada. We take on a measurement lesson using our names to solve for area and perimeter. I also introduce you to the concept of ranking ladders - one of my favourite teaching strategies! It was also very hot in my classroom this week as the summer temperatures started rolling in... In Ontario we're unionized, so you put in a preference. So you'd say whether you wanted to stay with grade 5 or whatever. If you wanted to make a change, then you'd say that. If there's a position open and your seniority is high enough you can jump into the next position.

I like your classroom it's so nice and beautiful
I am teaching 5th Grade and the Students are nice it's my first year teaching I will be moving classroom and I am moving Grade I will be teaching Grade 6 in Spetember
That is hard to move grades after only one year! I personally love grade 5, but two of my best friends teach grade 6 and they love working with kids at that age. I think as long as you go in with lots of energy and a positive attitude, it will be great. I hope you are looking forward to a new teaching challenge!!
Yeah. Tomorrow is Monday and My Students start Exam but next Friday the Students are going on summer break but July 2nd on Friday I am keeping a class party for my Students

Hello again! Thanks for being here ☺️ We are teaching face to face again - hopefully for the rest of the year. We have three full weeks of school left.
That's good I have like 3 weeks before the Summer break
