Cruising from the Abaco Islands aboard a 44' Cruisers Yachts.
In Part 2, I visit: Hope Town, Green Turtle Cay, and Guana Cay. I then return to visit Treasure Cay, Spanish Cay, and West End.
Check out Part 1 here - • Cruising the Abaco Isl...
I had the opportunity and pleasure to be a deckhand aboard a 44’ Cruisers Yachts crossing the Gulf Stream and stopping at Hope Town, Orchid Bay Marina in Guana Cay, and back to Green Turtle Cay. In this new journey of mine, seeking a lifestyle change and more adventures, this opportunity was great to expand my basic knowledge of the sea, navigation, boat maintenance, culture, and many other great lessons & stories I received from the captain. We left the boat for repairs in Hope Town and then continued to Treasure Cay, Spanish Cay, and West End before crossing the Gulf Stream back into Port Everglades.

Customs is a breeze. Ferry is 20 minutes and costs $30 round trip. Ferry runs about every 2 hours.

Very helpful by the way for planning my trip, gives me an idea what the airports are like and so forth. It would be nice to know how much the ferry cost and that kind of thing. How is customs is it a pain? Very nicely produced. I'll see you there! I plan to rent a 30 foot boat. Then come back next year probably do a bareback charter... I need to get a little more experience first. Looks like some good kids you're playing basketball with... mingling with the locals makes me a little nervous in places like Nassau. Where youre at looks much more safe

Thanks, glad you found my video helpful. These are some of my first videos, so I'm "testing the waters" to see what works best and your input is very helpful to me. I'll definitely include more information in future videos.
The ferry was $20 dollars from Marsh Harbor to HopeTown in Elbow Cay. For customs, the captain had all the paperwork ready so when we arrived at West End in Old Bahama Bay he was able to go to the customs office there and came back to the boat in less than 15 minutes. Mingling with the locals in Green Turtle Cay was fun. It's a beautiful small town. The kids seemed shy but when I asked them to play basketball, they all got excited. Wish I could've captured that on video. I'm learning as I do more of these. All the best to you.
