I built this van originally. I took a stock van, cut ports in it, painted it, did all the body work on it. Originally it had old school cragar ss wheels and a 305 v8. I sold it about 8 years ago to a guy in Los Angeles. Awesome to see what they did with it. I had started to frame a bedroom in it because I wanted to make it look like a 70s shagging wagon. Great job on the build. Rad to see one of my old vans
I luv the van. I have a 85 shorty. They back dated the van to 81-84 trim. The only thing they are missing is a fold out or water bed in the back. Can't have a shaggin wagon without the bed. Great build.
Dude, I love that van. I dig the paint, the wild orange shag nice and crazy too. Be nice if it was lowered a bit with some flares, wider tires, side pipes and a nice place to lay down in the back.. That would be my touring machine for real. 80K is a big ask though. I'm sure someone with deeper pockets than mine will grab it.
A ridiculously well-executed build. Looks funky and cool on the surface but more and more details and features the more you dive in. This has to be the most fun build featured to-date. I'm in love!
Cool one Shawn! When a couple of dudes had these Chev vans in the late 70s & early 80s NO ONE thought of hot rodding them . Good episode and truly a shagadellic van!!😂
This has been my idea for over 10 years.... I want this! I would like to $ee the next level Pro Tour-van, ya know custom frame/suspension, great modern handling.... etc.
That's so cool man 😎👍🏽 Think they may come back in popularity again?? Few weeks ago here in New Zealand, I went to a charity event in a toy museum and they had in the car park a Scooby Doo van with the cartoon cut out's on it , plus two Kit car's both where talking and both had the dashboard and fancy steering wheel was cool 👍🏽😀 and the old toy's was awesome 🤙
Takes me back to my childhood...my dad and grandfather always had mid- late 70s Ford econolines. Every single one had 351W. And couple passed to me between 18-21. To say I did a lot of parking with gf's and underage drinking with friends would be a understatement. Coolest vehicles of all time.
Yes this one was rather interesting......I do remember the 70's vans ....I had friends that started companies to redo the interiors in the vans ....I would just say well done! Many points about this van to like... for sure
I drove a 66 Chevy Van daily for about 8 1/2 years. By the time I sold it, it had a 350 pushing 425 HP, built manual valve body reverse shift pattern 700R4, posi rear end and 3 inch exhaust. Me and that can did a lot of street terrorism. It's the only vehicle I cried for after it was gone.
I don't know Shawn, after driving a deleted 201:) built out 4X4 Sprinter van for the past 4 years this thing is AWESOME! I'd totally rip this thing around!
Had an ‘86 G20 short (110” wheelbase), at the time was none stock with the 305 and th350 tranny, pulled over going 110mph. They drive just fine on the highway. No worries.
FFW years later, pulled the 305, went with a ZZ4 short block 350 crate motor from GMPP, Edelbrock top end with hydraulic roller cam and roller lifters, World Sportsman heads, Hedman Headers and 3” side exit exhaust with Hooker mufflers. Set off car alarms everywhere I went. Hands down my all time favorite vehicle. Absolutely loved that truck. I had to part ways in 2010 after getting married and starting a family. 24 years that truck was with our family.
would 100% take this beauty over the majority of vehicles shown on this channel anyday .. you’d get more thumbs up in this van than an overbuilt 500k musclecar
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤. What a groovy looking fun van to ride in. I’ll tell you what Shawn, you have one of the coolest job’s out there. Great video and fantastic van. !!!!!!!! 👍👍👍👍
Nice reminds me of my 1980ford ambulance cube back van front its called a classic rescue 7.3L ford custom exhaust with stainless steel tips after duelly tires runs on four cylinder cap and coil with spark.plugs in.each tip has a Dana 70b with 488gears,plus a gear.vendors under over drive. Turns my C6 into a six speed. She's pretty wild just needs paint which will be as.wild as my.rig. very cool van as a floor covering installer and gearhead my work vehicle's get very expensive. Because I'm a firm believer in modifying my vehicle's.
I have a wish I want you to do it. Can you make separate videos for each car ib your storage because we see some cars we love to see the deep details about these cars. Have a great life. A Mercedes Lover.
Hey Shawn, back in the 70’s when I was a teenager we used to can them the Kama Sutra on four wheels, this one I think is definitely different!!! LMAO!! Great Videos Thank You 🙏
I'm going to assume this was a"FUN" one to shoot since the word FUN was used 21 times, I had FUN watching and I'm sure whoever purchases it will have FUN as well, at least 600 horses worth of VAN FUN 😁
That van is Kool! My pops had a extra long wheel base Dodge Van with a 318 V8, shag carpet, big side windows, captain chairs, custom overhead console for his CB,custom rims. He stored it every winter It was a nice van. He sold it to some idiot who trashed it! SMH
@@AutotopiaLA Yes it was nice he even had a beach pic airbrushed on both sides. He sold it and bought a 85 Cadillac Seville Slantback! That car stayed in the shop more than he drove it!! SMH
That thing is sick!! They just forgot a couple key components.... Side pipes and the 70 's wheel flares and front lip then i see 70-80k . And then i remember your in Califuckya and its a registered as a 90's van so emmisions b.s.
Badass! I think some side pipes would really set it off.
Side pipes would be perfect
definitely :)
Exactly!!!
@@AutotopiaLA , with a platform on the roof, to drink cocktails with a parasol and a mini swimming pool.
Or a set of zoomies
That thing is BEYOND COOL!!!!!! I LOVE vans! That thing isn't ugly at all! Hell yeah man!!!!!
Nothing cookie cutter here!!!!!!!!!
Love my 89 G20. It's still one of the most fun and comfortable trucks I've ever driven.
Yeah, that van is pure fun!!!!!!! Yeah baby
There are alot of really cool builds that we are shown on this channel.... but THIS is so cool. Looks like an absolute riot
Insane amounts of fun with this one! So goofy and pure cool

Love it or hate it, it’s unique and worth a look.
how they wedged that LSX in there is beyond me! wicked fun. thanks for shooting this
The van come back is cool. There's a late 70's early 80's chopped shorty I've had my eye on for a couple decades now. It was never finished.
Takes me back to my childhood...my dad and grandfather always had mid- late 70s Ford econolines. Every single one had 351W. And couple passed to me between 18-21. To say I did a lot of parking with gf's and underage drinking with friends would be a understatement. Coolest vehicles of all time.

So much fun
Van Clubs, in the seventies and eighties, chop-tops, duel headlamps, flared fenders, side pipes, fuzzy dice and forget the waterbed ! 😂

If I had that money I would have that in my garage. Man a fun cruiser!
Super fun cruiser
It's gaudy and loud and I absolutely love it!
So Frigging Sick 🤘🔥🤘 What a Great BEAST for fun with ya mates 🔥🤘🔥❤
Let the good times roll.................
Totally fun ride!
It’s a blast!
As an Aussie panel-van culture enthusiast, this is beautiful. I'd love to see a Sandman, Sundowner or Drifter in the US.
That’s a groovy van! You did say it was a unibody but I believe it has a full frame. Keep up the good work bringing us the coolest rides!
I was told unibody so now I need to look deeper. Glad you like what we do here 👊
It has a “frame” but it’s integrated to and unremovable from the body. ‘71 and on are like that.
Unibody
A super van. Awesome
This is absolutely ridiculous. I love it.
I absolutely love it
Cool van man thank you

4th of July party, bbq, fireworks and a van that’s a party on wheels doing burnouts - that screams Merica !!!!!!!!!
