We were down to Sandero and C3 last year and went with Dacia.
2022 with 12000 miles on, tce, air con, auto lights and wipers, Satnav and Android auto etc.
Improved too with nicer dashboard, more comfortable seats, better steering wheel and better door handles.
Getting (on Eco button) high 50s to low 60s per gallon on E5, high 40s on E10 and high 30s.on LPG
Absolutely love the car, only mistake was not going with Stepway for better access for me and my spinal pain (from a rear ender in the 90s).
I pick it over my Citroen C4 when we go out anywhere, if it's around.
Only downside we found with car itself is it has crappy, hard to hoover carpets and reverse camera fitted under back bumper and unusable after a mile on a wet day.

I've drove the newer one and agree with all of them comments. I'm guessing you went for the Comfort? Great spec and love the little tce 90 or 100 engine. The Ford/Vauxhall/VW equivalent will be £7000 more at least!

@@FlippinMotorsUK yep we did. I'm thinking on a 2016 Logan and a 2015 Stepway near me now as a second car run around. Then take bit of hit on the Citroen with early termination.

@@DavidJohnston58 I'm sure they would be a great buy. The Logans are very cheap now! Even an early Duster

Just picked up a 2024 sandero expression. 5 to 10k cheaper than anything else of the same size and 2k cheaper than 1-2 year old nearly new models with longer warranty and half the apr on the finance.. Its a 2024 renault clio underneath. Very pleasantly surprised with the comfort, the suspension eats bumps so much better than any other hatchback ive ever driven.
Getting 43 mpg on the 1.0 tce engine but i do a lot of local sub 30 mph driving. It replaces a fiat panda 2015 that blew a head gasket at 60k miles.........

Excellent choice, decent spec. Money well spent. I found the way it handles bumps very good too even on this older model!

@@FlippinMotorsUKexpression is the highest spec for the sandero. At the time of purchase, you could only get the extreme spec on the step way. But the step way forces you with a 6 speed gearbox and when driving at 30-40 it's constant constant gear changes. In the sandero 5 speed , you'd stick it in third from 20 all the way to 45 😂 and the 5 speed at 70 is on 2300 rpm, versus 2100 rpm in the 6 speed, and the difference is like 2 mpg on motorways. 6 speeds isn't always better !

I've heard of a few misfire issues that are very difficult and costly to sort. Could be worse could be a Ford Ecoboom I guess and plenty of people still buy them
