It is not a Renault car built in Romania. Like all Dacia cars, it is a car conceived and designed in Romania by the Dacia research and development department. It is the largest department after the one in France. By the way, this department works cars of the same class for Nisan and Lada. I actually recently bought one as well. My track car is a 99 Miata but driving it to work proved to be a really bad idea especially in the snow. So when my daily VW Golf died I bought a 5 year old Dacia for a price of a 15year old Golf... Its just a normal car, nothing to write home about, but it just works. And it works for cheap which means more money for trackdays, right? :D
Good video...just got a new Sandero Stepway...rugged easy to drive comes with 1lt turbo engine..loads of room inside..based on new Renault Clio platform 3 years warranty..my £13500..would have bought me a SUV...from any other manufacturers with 30,000 miles plus and 3 years older at least...maybe out of warranty even..so I reckon good value for the money...also Carwow car of the year.

Very nice review, glad it worked out well for you. Great car I do own one, the problem now is that with the new model, prices have risen and Dacia do not discount prices (yet) and other manufacturers do , so instead of a new Dacia I have bought a new Seat Leon for not much more that a top of the range Stepway.
Yes I live in rural Scotland and my Mini Cooper (R56) is a blast but the firm ride gets a bit harsh and wearying on anything more than a 10 mile blast on the local country roads, and it’s a faff getting the dog in and out of the back seat of a tiny 3 door, so am considering a Sandero Stepway, the bi-fuel looks interesting…
