The freedom isn't free if it was no soldier who would fight for us who. If it wasn't for them we won't how to live a life that we don't want. Us people have to fight of fear but with soldiers where living a life there not living.

Could you give me some tips on getting into Annapolis? I've had my heart set on it since 2nd Grade. I'd just like a few pointers on what I should prioritize.

+TriForce Collabs Check out the Blue & Gold officer(s) in your area at www.usna.edu/Admissions/BGO/. They are great resources and will be able to start you on the path. Good Luck!

+TriForce Collabs Short version: Be the team captain to a varsity sport in high school; run and lift as age-appropriate. Learn about your macros and track them. Keep a lifetime curiosity for learning. Subscribe and read a printed newspaper daily. Read part of a book every day for pleasure. Every man/woman is your teacher in that you may learn something from them. Stay in school. Get a haircut. Listen to your parents and teachers. Spell out everything in romantic communications and don't use emoticons/emojis after age 15. Never put something on social media you wouldn't stand up and yell on Main Street. Life is not always fair; I just can't tell you which parts. Extra Credit: Learn a foreign language that's hard or more than one romance language. Learn to code. Work on a farm with animals. Get a library card and use it, not just for movies. Acquire good habits that won't kill you later. Register to vote and exercise your vote. Volunteer at a hospital or rehab/nursing facility. Know all of your local elected officials from Mayor to President.

It’s very competitive. My daughter is a freshman in high school, she ranked #1 in her class of over 300 students. But that doesn’t mean she anything. They Navy looks at the entire person as a well balanced and well rounded individual.

John “Jack” Slaughter was indeed a WWII veteran and at the time this was filmed, at 101 years old he was the last surviving member of the Class of 1937. He was a recent widower, his wife having passed the year before at age 97. He died in 2017 at the age of 103.
