They used to run sand trains back in the CNJ days on that line (Southern Secondary). Part of it is supposed to be used for sand trains again. Also, NJ Transit is supposed to bring passenger traffic back to Lakewood for the first time since the Blue Comet train ran from Jersey City to Atlantic City back in the 1940's.

I got family from down South Jersey. My Aunt Midge and Uncle Tommy live in Tuckerton, Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Sonny live in AC and Uncle Billy lives in New Gretna. Right across the street from Uncle Billy's house that him and Aunt Patty died was my grandma and grandpa Rooney's old Chicken farm that they owned. Its so cool seeing your videos. My brother and his family moved back up here to Keansburg from South Toms River right off parkway exit 82A.

Sure hope those little pine tree seedlings growing in the tracks don't get as big as those that've grown thru these tracks down to Chatsworth. Would LOVE to see this line resurrected someday. And those are awesome nature trails!
