😉I like the "Love's Train" battle between both bands... Both versions were awesome Famu had a very clean sound but I definitely like Asu aggression in theirs...💯
State has young core. The arrangements in some cases are complex and it shows. The foundation is there for them to be a beast in the coming years. We also have to play the "right" songs a the "right" time. Thats always key in the SWAC. You can have all the book you want, but its when you play what you play. Never allow the other band dictate your music.
I'm a Bama state fan but Famu sounds absolutely awesome and they definitely won this battle. Also since Famu has joined the swap they definitely blowing louder recently.
I’m glad these 2 bands back battling again reguardless of the flu that struck some ASU band students this week, this battle wasn’t going to happen until Asu finally open practice up middle of last week, Famu still came anyways I have to salute both bands for making this happen

I hear them practicing every night ..I live in Montgomery during the week , my Lord it’s not doing any good . What happened to ASU since last year ..they sounded better even when they came to Tallahassee!! We need all HBCU bands to step up …we need them to strive for musicianship and quality of sound . I was sitting right next to the 100... and props to ASU but we're just that much better in sound, presentation and performance. My son can't wait to go to band camp

It's time for ASU's Band Director to retire and get some new blood in the space. They have had a dismal 2022 band season. It starts from the head, and he's energy is just not it. Every visiting band has slaughtered them this year with arrangements, execution, etc. I commend the ASU band members for sticking it out...but geez. FAMU sounds good; there were so spotty, pitchy and timing issues from the upper brass on a few sounds, but all in all they were good.
