Gorgeous design, i want to try it, but I would love to have written directions. Its hard for me to see what you are doing in detail, willing to try to read a pattern (never done that before). This is so beautiful! Thank you ❤
Thank you for this beautiful pattern sample! I’m currently crocheting this pattern as a baby blanket for my granddaughter who is coming in April. For the blanket I decided to make it a larger crib size. I chained 246. Made 2 rows of dbl crochet as a foundation. And 4 dbl crochet at beginning and end of each row for a border. It’s coming along quite nicely and I’m very pleased with the results. Hope this helps those wanting to know how to make the sample size bigger and into baby blanket.
@ hi, I measured the original chain of 41 and multiplied by 6 to get the width I wanted. You could multiply by 4 or 5 if you don’t want yours as wide. The 246 also allows for a 4 dbl stitch border along each side. Hope that helps!
Please do a written pattern in English please , it would be absolutely wonderful. This is such a gorgeous pattern and I’d love to be able to make a blanket. Thank you so much for sharing and look forward to seeing the written pattern soon, God bless💗
It’s beautiful! I’m going to try this for sure! 🥰 But why is one flower petal with 3 loops, and another with 4? 🤷♀️ do you still get the same size flower petals all around?
It's to make sure the stich patterns don't look off when you start the next row. If you do three instead of four it seems the petal is smaller the next round when I do it.
I tried typing this out for myself, if you can make sense of what I wrote, here it is: dl : double loop (not a real term, i explained in the first flower) make a chain (didnt show the full clip, I made with 41 but not sure) 1ST HALF FLOWER------- * pull out the yarn, make a puff stitch by pulling *double loop from the 1st stitch from hook (y/o, insert hook, pull loop) x3 in the same same stitch * skip 6 stitches, in the 7th stitch pull dl x3 * skip 1 stitch, in the 2nd stitch pull dl x3 * y/o, insert into same stitch, pull regular loop, ch 2 using only the from loop while holding back the back loop * y/o, pull through all the loops, ch 2 * pull out yarn, going into the previous stitch (where the puff stitches got connected) , pull dl x4 * y/o, pull through all the loops, ch 2 6DC------------ * back to the main chain, skip 1 stitch, dc x6 HALF FLOWER------- * ch 2, pull yarn, pull dl x3 * skip 1 stitch, in the 2nd stitch pull dl x3 * skip 2 stitch, in the 3rd stitch pull dl x3 * y/o, insert into same stitch, pull regular loop, ch 2 using only the from loop while holding back the back loop * y/o, pull through all the loops, ch 2 * pull out yarn, going into the previous stitch (where the puff stitches got connected) , pull dl x4 * y/o, pull through all the loops, ch 2 repeat 6DC repeat HALF FLOWER repeat 6DC ch 5, turn your work TOP HALF FLOWER----- * y/o and go into the middle of puff stitches * pull dl x4 * y/o, pull through, ch 3 * again from the middle of puff stitches pull dl x4 * y/o, pull through, ch 2 dc x6 on top of the dcs from previous row repeat the top patterns for all flowers/dcs you will end at a flower dc into the second stitch coming out of the flower ch 3, turn your work NEW 6DC------ * [dc into the chain space, dc into the next stitch] x3 [repeat HALF FLOWER, repeat NEW 6DC] x2 ch 3, turn your work [dc x6, repeat TOP HALF FLOWER] until the end
Thank you for typing that out!!! As an intermediate crocheter, I could follow the video and scant written details, but it would’ve been easier with more details, which your comment added! One key thing I realized is that the amount to pull out for the flower petals should be about as long as a finished double crochet. First time trying this and my petals were too tight. The piece didn’t lay flat. Once I pulled out enough yarn, the piece worked out.
The ladies on here are so lovely .. to work out this pattern for us shows we all love to crocher and prepared to help.. I'm hoping one day I might be able to pass on some help .. will be a while, I'm getting back into it 😂😂 ... ❤
I would like to know the chain count and step by step instructions written if there are no verbal instruction with video. Thank you! This a beautiful stitch!
I counted 18 stitches for the first flower, 12 stitches for the second, and 7 for the last flower. So a base chain of 37. You could increase the length in increments of 12 since that’s how many it takes to do the middle flower. I haven’t tried it yet since I spent so much time trying to count the stitches. I will reply later if I remember and let you know how it goes.
This was cool. I made a felted pot holder out of wool with this pattern. The pattern didn't translate with felting, but I appreciated learning a new stitch and I think this would make really sweet baby blanket for a little girl. It took me a little while to get the hang of the pattern, but after that I could see what I needed to do. Thank you. Great tutorial except that we need the actual initial stitch count, or pattern repeat number.
You can do it!!! I am the opposite I know how to crochet very well but always wanted to learn how to knit.. I know that you can do it and enjoy yourself!!!!
Yea i had a little bit of trouble keeping up with just the little hints on the side. I missed hpw many to chain in the beginning too or didn't it say? Thanks so much
@@amyreynolds623 it didn't say that I could see. That's frustrating because you're stuffed before you start unless you try loads of combos first until it works.
I didn't see but you can see that the flower takes 6 and after you have 6dc. So in the begging you should make a multiple of 12 + 6 chains, depending on the length you want.

How did you reach the number 246? Can we make the blanket into any number of chains or is there some math to it?

dl : double loop (not a real term, i explained in the first flower)
make a chain (didnt show the full clip, I made with 41 but not sure)
1ST HALF FLOWER-------
* pull out the yarn, make a puff stitch by pulling *double loop from the 1st stitch from hook (y/o, insert hook, pull loop) x3 in the same same stitch

* pull out yarn, going into the previous stitch (where the puff stitches got connected) , pull dl x4

6DC------------
* back to the main chain, skip 1 stitch, dc x6
HALF FLOWER-------
* ch 2, pull yarn, pull dl x3
* skip 1 stitch, in the 2nd stitch pull dl x3
* skip 2 stitch, in the 3rd stitch pull dl x3
* y/o, insert into same stitch, pull regular loop, ch 2 using only the from loop while holding back the back loop
* y/o, pull through all the loops, ch 2
* pull out yarn, going into the previous stitch (where the puff stitches got connected) , pull dl x4
* y/o, pull through all the loops, ch 2
repeat 6DC
repeat HALF FLOWER
repeat 6DC
ch 5, turn your work
TOP HALF FLOWER-----
* y/o and go into the middle of puff stitches
* pull dl x4
* y/o, pull through, ch 3
* again from the middle of puff stitches pull dl x4
* y/o, pull through, ch 2
dc x6 on top of the dcs from previous row
repeat the top patterns for all flowers/dcs
you will end at a flower
dc into the second stitch coming out of the flower
ch 3, turn your work
NEW 6DC------
* [dc into the chain space, dc into the next stitch] x3
[repeat HALF FLOWER, repeat NEW 6DC] x2
ch 3, turn your work
[dc x6, repeat TOP HALF FLOWER] until the end
