No one wanted to mention the age difference between the two? And how she didn’t want to kiss him. So the director made them kiss in a trailer over and over again till she was “comfortable”
I remember wanting Hilary Duff’s haircut when this movie first came out, but the lady who cut my hair thinned out the layers a bit too much so I ended up with a dang mullet for the summer 😂😩
Fun fact, the lips at the end where Jamie comments about Jenifer Coolidge’s lips, they’re fake, but because Coolidge is allergic to latex or the glue they used for it, so they used wax instead and it was a really hot day and apparently her lips were melting lol
Thank you for talking about how weird it is that people seem to have unlimited time to do things in the morning before school/work. That has always irked me! Parents making like full breakfasts, girls in full hair and makeup hanging out places or doing things in the morning before school, like are you all getting up at 4:30 every morning to do all this? Does your school start at like 10 am? It’s ridiculous
For real! Especially as a teenager. I damn sure didn't wake up until like 15 minutes before I had to leave the house! What breakfast? Maybe a frozen waffle or a Poptart!
Yas thank you loves for writing this.... There were some girls in my school that would wake up extra early to look good. But I just could never, I tried, but then I just looked like a fool. Appreciate you both!
My school started at 9am, which clearly wouldn’t be enough time to do all these things but more time compared to the creators perspective since she said she started at 7am! Certain days I had 2 spares in the afternoon which would mean I could go home after 11:45, so if it was reversed and I had them in the morning instead then it would mean I didn’t have to go to school until 12:45, so that’s the only scenario where I could see these things happening!
Senior girls at my school always stopped by Dutch Bros before school (or during lunch) because: A) it was on their route B) they didn't have a first period or were a TA during that period or C) they just didn't give a shit by that point.
"How many hours of daylight do these people have before school?" YES I always wonder that every time watching a movie or show where the characters are hanging out at grandma's or working a job before school. I only ever had time to wake up, get dressed, fix hair, eat and brush teeth. 🤣
Same here. I also had issue with the ladies of Sex and the City, who seemed to have endless free time for lunches, brunches, shoe shopping, parties and just hanging out at the latest fashionable event. I barely have the time/energy to run a couple of errands after work before dragging my tired ass home to start the rat race all over again the next day.
People that wake up before the sun rises to successfully get ready for the day by dawn are a *totally* different breed of productive lmao there’s so much more time to do things if you wake up with the sun 😳 That being said, my school didn’t start until later in the morning, like we’re talking 9:15am was the first bell to get to class, and 9:20am was the final bell, after that you’d be considered “late.” Personally, I was never on time once I got into my Junior year 😜
It's definitely an alternate universe with different rules of time and no one needs to shower, use the bathroom, style their hair, eat, or do any other mundane, daily thing unless it's absolutely necessary to the plot line lol
Completely forgot that you used to do your makeup while reviewing movies until I read the comments. Didn't even notice a difference tbh. I'm 1,000,000% here for your personality, not makeup. You're the one TH-camr I know will make me laugh with whatever you put out. Thank you for that!

I like makeup a lot but I just don't have the patience to watch people doing theirs, when I found Jaime it was the only makeup channel I was watching because she was funny, not to mention I have binged watched this series when I found it. It would be nice to see her doing make up when and if she feels like it, not for the make up advice per se but because she does really nice make up.
Hey. Screenwriter/Director from Canada here. I just want to say that I stumbled upon your bad movies reviews and they are amazing. I have never watched your beauty/makeup content (although I do love makeup tutorials) and I just want to congratulate you for putting yourself out there. What you are doing is genius. It takes a lot of talent to edit stuff and write in such a funny way. You being able to produce such cool and hilarious content without having been to film or comedy school (or having access to an actual postproduction studio) is just downright impressive. I will be teaching a class in a Montreal film Institute next winter and I just want to let you know that your videos were an inspiration as to how to produce fun videos that deliver content (part of the class will be filmed ahead and given virtually). Keep doing what you love. You are obviously extremely talented and I find it absolutely amazing to see women embrace comedy. Sending love from Montreal.
Wow gosh thank you so much 😭😭 this means so much, I’ve always wished I had gone to film school or something, how cool that you are a screenwriter and director! I hope to be like you one day!
I can't tell you how much joy and laughter you bring to me. I've never watched any of the movies you've reviewed but my boyfriend has so it's really interesting seeing how the reactions are different. I may not have watched any of the movies but I've watched all of yours. You're genius. Can't wait for the next!!
As a ps, I got my boyfriend onto your channel and when your latest one came out he interrupted what I was doing and told me, hey! She's got another one out! We love you :)

You're totally right. Shelby Cummings would never have been the Queen Bee with that name because she would have been made fun of relentlessly for her name.
The fact she's popular at all is a miracle. But then again, I had a bully once who's last name was Sprinkle (no joke). How anyone didn't bully him is beyond me.
I think the “salmon” thing is a decent running joke, because the colour of the diner is also salmon while the Evil Stepmom is in charge and Sam is (Sam-on😂) under her thumb until she becomes Cinderella. Salmon…Ella
Didn't even miss the makeup portion of this - your humor carries this series, 100%. Also, dying with the "Don't knock it till you try it!" salmon pudding cut, lol.
Yeah didn’t even notice! Lol. I never watch any makeup tutorial videos to begin with, so I pretty much ignored anything makeup related on her videos too. Just love her personality & how beautiful she always is, inside & out.
This movie is something my brothers and I quote to this day because the way Jenniffer Coolidge says “It’s so moist” after biting that cookie is legitimately the highlight of the entire film and the early 2000s.
The accuracy of this... In the year 3000 they will look back and be like “in the early 2000’s Jennifer coolage says ‘it’s so moist’ in a very amusing way, the thing called a movie has been lost but the tone lives on. Ya….so that covers all of the 2000’s… They weren’t great.”
I feel like Chad Michael Murray was filming those chat scenes and the director was like “give me more! Act like you’re having a conversation but don’t actually say the words! Show me with your face!”
I fucking lost it when Jaime redid the scene where she danced with Chad... She look like a serial killer with her mask! I laughed so loud I woke up my husband. 😂🤣😂🤣
I’m so glad I’m not the only one! I watch these while hubby sleeps and sometimes am afraid of waking him up by shaking the bed because I’m laughing so hard but at the same time trying to keep it in..
Seriously I did the exact same thing right now! Omg that's hilarious that other people wake up their husbands by laughing at jaimes videos as well! 😄😄😄🙌🏻
I’d love to see you do any of these: She’s the man, Step up, take the lead, center stage, john tucker must die, aquamarine, RV, freaky Friday, New York minute, sleepover, twilight, or the last song. Love your videos!
Cinderella *always* saves herself, she just happens to fall in love with a prince. Even in the German original, it was her sneaking out, and her having the courage to live for herself that saves her, the prince is just a bonus. Even in Ever After when she is taken hostage she had already figured out a way to deal with him and was leaving even before the Prince made it there to "save" her lol
My takeaways from this movie: 1. Chad Michael Murray makes weird faces while texting 2. I want pink cargo pants. 3. Jennifer Coolridge is the highlight of any movie.
My Mom's favorite scene in " Ever After" was her decking the Step Sister, she screamed out "YES!!!" In the movie theater and everyone laughed because we were all thinking the same thing, Step Sister deserved that 100%
I unexpectedly met Jennifer Coolidge when I worked at Best Buy in Lexington, Kentucky. She was in town for a residency at a really cool drag-centric gay bar. Thankfully, she's just as sweet and wonderful as you'd hope.
As someone who grew up in Southern California, I can confirm nobody had time to do anything before school. I’d wake up at 4:20 am to take a shower, make coffee, and do my makeup before running to the bus stop at 6:10. First period started at like 7:10. So yeah, the unlimited morning hours trope in the movies has frustrated and annoyed me for years.
So a lot of people have a comfort show they binge watch when they want to chill or feel better. For me, I always come to this video and watch it. I'm probably responsible for like 30-50 of the playthroughs lol. It's just incredibly funny and your comedy is so well timed and smooth. It feels spontaneous and well written/edited all at the same time. I laugh my butt off every time like I've never seen it before, and then I go get my husband and make him watch my favorite parts again while he rolls his eyes. So thank you for all of that, including the tools to torture my husband with (in the name of love!)
I know what you mean. My comfort watches are Jaime's reviews, too (I think I watch Swim Fan, The Happening and Relative Happiness the most frequently, but they've all had multiple views from me). Her delivery is so great that I still laugh even when I know what line is coming 😅
I think it was just the rich kids who teased her about it. Types of people who think they're affluent but are not really, think people doing normal things, or anything to make a buck or save money is funny. These girls sound like the ones that made a video in my town passing by a bus and calling it the "loser-mobile" laughing in her parent's convertible. Cringe-fest.
@@cinzabeary5226 yes exactly. Multiple kids have jobs, or money, but they see Sam’s job as being low class and backwater… they’re making fun of her job specifically, not just her having a job.

You forgot about cooking a full 5 course meal FROM SCRATCH for the family of 8 every morning before school and work, only for the food to be either thrown in the garbage or left uneaten on the table as everyone runs off late talking about how they don’t have time to eat 🤣🤣🤣
This is my favorite teen movie. It is the only one I allow, and all the rest failed to live up to my cliche expectations. The stupid comedy, the stupid plot, the weird characters, and the good vibes; I love it all. Perfection.
So about Cinderella , many people think it is story about her being rescued by the prince which can be interpreted that way but it is really about Cinderella in an abusive environment and wanted one night off to have fun . She didn’t actually expect to meet the prince and fall in love . Being kind was Cinderella ‘s strength which if you think about it , can be a downfall because she grew up in an abusive household . But that was kind of the point of the story , how she continues to be courteous and kind despite all the horrible abuse she suffered . That is just one point of view . In Rodgers and Hammerstein version of cinderella ( one with Brandi and Whitney Houston ) , a scene where she met her fairy godmother and they were talking about her family , she asked cinderella why she didn’t just leave . Cinderella replied that she promised her daddy to love her stepmother and stepsister , and Whitney said , “ baby , this can’t be what your daddy want for you .” After she had her one night of fun , she was escaping from her family on her own and didn’t expect the prince come and find her . She just wanted one night of not being abused . Anywho , there are so many adaptions of Cinderella that I think the initial message got lost . So people tends to assume that Cinderella was waiting to be rescued but in actuality, she was stuck in an abusive environment and has no one to turn to which is not uncommon today .
I honestly don’t know a single version of Cinderella where the prince saves her. The original Greek version, sounded more like a king had a foot fetish and kidnapped Cinderella to fulfill his needs. In the Grimm’s version, the prince almost marries both her stepsisters instead, and it was only because of a tip off from two doves that he realized he had the wrong girl. Plus, Cinderella ran away from the prince 3 times, so it sounds like she didn’t really want to be “saved.” Even in the original Disney animated film the prince doesn’t bother to look for her himself and sends the duke to go find her. But it was the mice and Cinderella herself, who saved her from the situation she was in. Literally every version of Cinderella I’ve seen, the prince had been pretty useless
In rich kid schools kids just attend whenever they want while in other TV shows/movies kids have enough time for precisely 3 sips of OJ before the bus leaves at best.
In those other shows, they always leave behind a large breakfast table banquet that their mother somehow had time to make and none of the kids ever eats any of it.
I was gonna say the same thing. Also I don't know about the movie because I refuse to acknowledge it's existence but in the book Ella Enchated Ella saves herself as well. She actually saves herself by saving her prince.
Omg, your rant about how much stuff people do before school in movies is so spot on!😂 I've been rewatching Gilmore Girls and seeing Rory go to Luke's for breakfast before she catches a bus that takes her 45 minutes away to school in Hartford is INSANE! And don't get me started on how light it is outside when it's supposed to be 6 in the morning in winter in New England...🙄

The drought also had meaning at the end when he finally said “dad I’m throwing away your dreams” (hahaha) and goes to kiss Sam. It starts raining! Oh so speshul
My husband would NEVER leave our daughter (especially because she’s not even 4 yet 🤣) in the case of any emergency situation to come help me. He knows I’m probably equally as capable as he is, if not MORE 🤣🤣
My thoughts exactly, we can assume Fiona was near her daughters so she was the adult in charge of them. Dad was right by Sam, so he was in charge of her. Why not take her with him, at the very least?

It was then an hour ride back home in the afternoon, by which time it was about 5pm. No time for any other activities. 😬 These kids have way to much time on their hands somehow by comparison 😂

I still can’t hear “I’ll Be” by Edwin MicCain without feeling that deep romantic nostalgia in my belly. Middle school me was CONVINCED that was the most romantic song I’ve ever heard.
I just wish Jennifer Coolidge could be like a counselor, where she tells you all of the things you’re doing wrong, but because of her voice you’re just like “You know, you’re right. I am an idiot. Let me fix that right away.”

This was one of the first movie I saw in theaters. I was like, 11 at the time and thought this was a masterpiece, likely because I was a Hilary Duff obsessed preteen. But as a kid, I loved this movie. I remember bawling my eye out in theaters over her getting made fun of and then not getting in to Princeton. Still love this movie today (with all the imperfections), as an adult, Fiona/Jennifer Coolidge is definitely much more enjoyable as a character than 11 year old me thought. Also, of all the "A Cinderella Story" spin off movies, this one reigns supreme.

The Parent: I'll always be here.
The Plot: And I took that personally.
We just gon let Austin slide on being a cheater? I know Shelby was a twat, but that don’t mean you get to secretly IM mystery girls all night

Fun fact, the lips at the end where Jamie comments about Jenifer Coolidge’s lips, they’re fake, but because Coolidge is allergic to latex or the glue they used for it, so they used wax instead and it was a really hot day and apparently her lips were melting lol
Finally a “fun fact” that’s actually fun! 😂
My high school started at ten to nine and it was still unrealistic to me
My school started at 9am, which clearly wouldn’t be enough time to do all these things but more time compared to the creators perspective since she said she started at 7am! Certain days I had 2 spares in the afternoon which would mean I could go home after 11:45, so if it was reversed and I had them in the morning instead then it would mean I didn’t have to go to school until 12:45, so that’s the only scenario where I could see these things happening!
Senior girls at my school always stopped by Dutch Bros before school (or during lunch) because:
A) it was on their route
B) they didn't have a first period or were a TA during that period
or C) they just didn't give a shit by that point.
'So Austin and Sam...'
'Are they talking about us?'
Why are your nephews so adorable ❤😍
"How many hours of daylight do these people have before school?" YES I always wonder that every time watching a movie or show where the characters are hanging out at grandma's or working a job before school. I only ever had time to wake up, get dressed, fix hair, eat and brush teeth. 🤣
I think of this every time I watch Pretty Little Liars
And in commercials too! Like I have to take the bus to school and like Jaime said depending on the time of the year it's still dark outside.

That's way more validating than praise from us amateurs. I would love to see the comedy assignments that get produced in that class.

Monrovia?
The Jennifer Coolidge impersonations were the most spot on amazing impersonations I’ve ever seen. Ever.
Jennifer Coolidge can save a movie with her humor.
Yes she is funny and so perfect at the one liners.
This movie is something my brothers and I quote to this day because the way Jenniffer Coolidge says “It’s so moist” after biting that cookie is legitimately the highlight of the entire film and the early 2000s.
For my family it's "I'm very very very upset about this "
The accuracy of this... In the year 3000 they will look back and be like “in the early 2000’s Jennifer coolage says ‘it’s so moist’ in a very amusing way, the thing called a movie has been lost but the tone lives on. Ya….so that covers all of the 2000’s… They weren’t great.”
Your Jennifer Coolidge impersonation is honestly the best I've seen outside of Jennifer herself
I feel like Chad Michael Murray was filming those chat scenes and the director was like “give me more! Act like you’re having a conversation but don’t actually say the words! Show me with your face!”

We have to see this happening irl: Jennifer Coolidge and Jaime French doing a collab omg that would be ADORABLE
My takeaways from this movie:
1. Chad Michael Murray makes weird faces while texting
2. I want pink cargo pants.
3. Jennifer Coolridge is the highlight of any movie.

As someone who grew up in Southern California, I can confirm nobody had time to do anything before school. I’d wake up at 4:20 am to take a shower, make coffee, and do my makeup before running to the bus stop at 6:10. First period started at like 7:10. So yeah, the unlimited morning hours trope in the movies has frustrated and annoyed me for years.

i always thought it was so weird that she was essentially being teased about having a job? when she clearly wasn't the only student with one?
I think it was just the rich kids who teased her about it. Types of people who think they're affluent but are not really, think people doing normal things, or anything to make a buck or save money is funny.
Agreed
She was waiting for an opportunity to get away .
The Grimm fairy tale the moral of the story is being a kid is f****** scary and adults are creepy as s***...
Cinderella is about a prince with an extreme foot fetish and he wants to marry some woman he met once at a ball to quench his depraved foot lust.
Yes the one with Brandi and Whitney Houston was THE BEST ❤
3 sips is kinda generous
