Tested after SotO Release with Relic of the Fractal and full boons/conditions:
Rotation with "2 spam" and bladesongs: 30k dps,
Rotation with 2,3,5, elite + bladesongs: 34k dps
Self boons/condis only: 11k dps
The only difference is that what WAS the F4 key is now the F5 key due to them addition distortion as a new F4 button since this videos release.
Edit Sept 3rd 2024: Tested after Janthir launch, still works as described above and is viable if you wish to play it.

I am working on building this but I am afraid of solo play, I hope its not squishy since there are no clones to draw aggro away from you. So far I have a hard time with mirage(I need more points to unlock virtuoso).

I'm a skill clicker due to typing mobility issues (I also henpeck with my fingers on the keyboard while typing text), and I really appreciate that low-intensity builds are gaining popularity and becoming more viable. I really enjoy Guild Wars 2, but sometimes it feels like you can't win without a super complex rotation :')

As someone with legit short term and long term memory loss this is so nice to have. I cannot actually remember how rotations work, even with muscle memory because I play so many different classes and do things that don't always involve rotations that may not work in every situation. It's just so much easier on me and gives me less anxiety when I have to keep up during group stuff.
I have a lot of problems, my hands were totally destroyed after doing the simple Sunqua Peak in T2 fractals, the constant moving, dodging, skill use, etc I lost a lot of hand function and I'm still recovering. I needed this thank you

Excellent build! Also nice video. Short and sweet. I had been trying out Virtuoso and not doing well, but your build got me doing much better. After some practice on regular monsters, I did some solo fighting of Veteran Karkas with great success. I actually did better than with my Mirage, which has been my main for several years. Kudos!

Just wanted to emphasize that Focus 4 is probably the best pull in the game. Very useful on Samarog and esp. in combination with a power Soulbeast (Axe 4) on Slothasor.
The biggest problem with the build currently is that like all crit dependant builds, you need to change your equipment around depending on whether you have banners and Spotter or not.
Banners are usually present but Spotter has become a bit shaky as Druids aren't as ubiquious anymore and only power Soulbeast tends to take it otherwise so you may not have it on a boss that's more condition focused (Mathias and Soulless Horror mostly).
And when I have banners I just switch some trinkets to sinister^^

It only takes 3 pieces to make up for the difference of banners or not, and swapping pieces is actually faster than swapping legy stats
@@lashonawaldmeister1111 True. Esp. if you've thrown money/gold at ANet and bought equipment slots but then you can use legendary as well. Although there seem to be problems with infusions or something. Not sure if I remember that correctly.

This build, combined with a decent mouse to bind the shatters to has saved my life in this game... from 7-8k to 29-30.
I’m new to the game and this is going to be my main. What do you mean bind the shatters? I have my shatters as shift 1 to shift 4
@@haorob Binding the F1-F5 skill slots to the thumb-buttons on my mouse means I can easily run through the entire rotation with one hand, frees up the other to move around using WASD

@@helianthe3457 I don't think there's gonna be huge difference but who knows. I just want a fully capable main class. Currently it's Revenant but other classes are just better at what Revenant can do. I already have heavy legendary armor so I want to see if there's gonna be any easy high dps/highly useful/sought after builds for heavy classes. Currently Renegade is mediocre, there are other classes do its job better. Guardian is boring, only HFB is really good. Warrior's fate is uncertain with banners. Also none of those have monster dps or unique raid role coverage options. They are all just mediocre (except HFB ofc).
Whereas Mesmer is god tier. Great power or condi dps options, extremely useful utilities, unique raid roles, can cover alac or quick, can cover tank, ranged, doesn't fall off easily, great at WvW too. I want to see if any of these will change. I don't care about few k dps nerfes here and there otherwise. If I main a Mesmer with full legendary gear, I can find a spot in every raid group and can fill that role extremely good.
And you're gonna be fine, Harbinger won't be trash and Necros are always useful.
@@eckee maybe guardian is boring but it is a very capable class. I don't think mesmer is that op compared to engi with mechanist, scrapper and holo that are all extremely powerful and useful. Like sure you'll always find a spot in group as a mesmer, but same for necro, guardian, engi... i just hope the banners get a good rework and that engi gets a bit nerfed

Hello! As far as completing open world content, what do you think would work better between this and your mirage version? Also is there a low intensity chronomancer?
It would be nice if people showed the training dummy settings as well, because I can never get the same numbers any of videos like these produces. Or maybe it's the arcdps settings. I have no idea how people can do 40k+ dps on average, I'm lucky if I get half that just doing what the guides tell me, same gear, same runes, same everything except dps.
Has this been nerfed? I can barely crack 20k when doing the full rotation with midnight and illusion sigil.
On this particular build, the nightmare rune performed better both as sustain and dps. It's not a very forgiving build in open world solo, changing chaos for inspiration helped a lot, even if the dps dropped a bit.

That chaos skill might be exactly what I needed. Not sure why, but it seems literally everything 3 shots me, so just came looking for a way to not die immediately
I wanted to choose between your low intensity mirage and virtuoso builds but after the patch notes I'm not sure which one to pick. Since one build is all vipers and the other is half vipers half rampagers I'm curious which one you think is better to go for on current patch since it's a pretty big time investment just getting the gear.

Hey Mukluk, I've been trying to put this together and getting close. Just for a newbie most condition builds use Rampagers and Sinisters, is there a reason why this doesn't? I know the other builds are complicated though

I don't think this build works anymore as your bladesong sorrow has 8 seconds of bleed and mine doesn't unless I'm missing something but my build is just like yours.
They removed the bleed on Bladesong Sorrow in the 28th June 2022 patch.
It's a slight nerf. It still deal Bleeding, Torment, and Confusion.
Traits involved:
- Cry of Pain: Add Confusion
- Maim the Disillusioned: Add Torment
- Jagged Mind: Add Bleeding
i so much want to make a virtuoso work with the top line for pve but anything beside the bleed spec kinda sucks for blade generation

Yeah, I've had trouble with the power build for difficulty generating blades. I suppose it's not supposed to rely on bladesongs so much? But, yeah, the bleeding Virtuoso is fun with blasting all those bladesongs.

With a bit of grinding go to Verdant Brink (i think- the first zone anyway) in HoT expansion and you can buy stat selectable "bladed" gear from a "Frog dude" merchant with map currency.
just on thing. when you don't have main weapon in 2nd weapon slot and switch to it you will have weapon skills from main weapon in 1st slot but you would not get stats from that weapon.
Incorrect. Your stats will not change if you swap dagger/focus to just sword. When swapped, dagger/sword offhand will have the same stats as dagger/focus mainhand. Try it and you will see
Complete noob here, i am finding the play style fun bit i'm still working my way into ascended gear so that may be the reason, if so, i am sorry but isn't the build a glass cannon? i am being killed in 2 or 3 shots from a lvl80 Veteran

Are there any Low Intensity builds that use Celestial light armor? I made a set of that armor a while ago and haven’t figured out what class to use it with yet. I don’t want to stat swap it yet, until I spend more time searching for a build that can use it.
Staff mirage does pretty well in celestial, though to min/max in raids and such I think you'd want viper or ritualist. It's not too high intensity.
Celestial stats inevitably fall behind dedicated DPS stats for PvE settings. But if you want to try and milk DPS out of it, you'd want to look for a hybrid damage build.
Do note that on the other hand, celestial is pretty much king and queen in WvW right now (though specialization in organized squads can be very strong)
What damage meter is that, and is it legal to use? I lost a well-developed GW (one) account years ago using something that should have been legal according to public statements by GW (specifically, Gail) but they ephed me for it anyway.
It almost certainly the ArcDPs meter from the GW2 add on manager.
There's very few addons and has been there a while. If arenanet had an issue with it they would have done something about it by now.

This one works fine in open world due to its extreme range, allowing you to kite around if necessary while still doing damage. It will really shine in a group when you have a full set of boons.

Normal rotations aren't LI because you're pressing buttons quickly. It's not about how easy the rotation is. It's about helping people who have a hard time moving their hands

How do you think the loss of bleed on Bladesong Sorrow will effect the build?

dont use phantasms without dueling its not worth it, just run torch offhand and use the 4 skill, dont bother with torch5.
Shouldn't be using torch at all for virtuoso. Pistol will always be more dps
Signet of the ether is not really 'nice constant healing' it only heals 385 passive (only when using shatter, that has cooldown) I think 'twinblade restoration' is the better healer tool, it has more healing and can give you regen passive, while also removing one condition and it has 10 seconds less cooldown than signet, so yeah.. The reason why people run signet of the ether, is to be able to reset phantasm skills, but turns out is also not really needed when in real fights, there are always skills off cooldown to use, while dodging and positioning.. (perfect rotations standing idle in front of a dummy is not reality when doing real combat) So signet of the ether turns out to be a bit meh.. And furthermore the rest of your signets, would be better to be replaced with mantra`s that just provide more all-round utility in all-round combat, and have no animation while casting, so does not interrupt other skill animations.. And about the virtuoso build itself, if the corner stone of your build is blade, (bleeding on critical hits) you should aim for critical hits and therefore I think 'duelist' have better options to do so (gaining fury) instead of 'illusions' has no synergy with crit mindset.. And while there you might also want to switch your focus for a pistol to further increase the bleeding when running the crit/duelist..
this is specifically low intensity build so switching signets for mantras doesn't make sense. Obviously dueling, illusions, virtuoso has more dps. I am able to stack up to 60 bleed stacks solo with bad gear but rotations are quite a bit harder to pull off perfectly, even against golem.
anyone have the dps numbers with this build with just boons (might,alac,quick) , no class buffs?

condition rune just too expensive.. i wish they made em cheaper some how..
2g per rune isn't expensive. Set of Krait runes is either a week of dailies or even faster if you do daily Ley Line Anomaly (Mystic coin worth ~1g and 50s junk item).
Sigil of Bursting is expensive, sure, but you can just get a Major version for ~2g as well for a tiny DPS loss.
@@NaoyaYami When i say condition rune, am mostly talking about general, not just bleeding rune. a example would be Superior Rune of Tormenting.
@@deceaseyang6499 For these a recipe would have to be drastically changed. I do think a stack of sprockets per rune is way too much though (1500-1750 sprockets for rune set and extra 250-500 if you need sigil(s) of tormenting as well).
BTW Don't complain about condition rune prices in a video that doesn't use those - it makes no sense.
when you compare condition rune with power rune, they are more expensive. and yes, i do find superior rune of krait too expensive, they currently sale for 2.38g each a set would cost 14.28 gold. i currently make about 2g a day(From daily), will take me a little over a week to acquire them.

Why should you try to play a build with tones of button and rotas you all have for all classes to remember ro reach 40k but only when you can play the exact rota and the enemy isnt moving.
This here is fun for me not work. So I want to play something that is fun to play, fits my play style and I dont need to fully a strictly pattern.

this is literally just regular ass cVirt.
The regular virt I'm using works with the two phantasms and the heal skill much more. Not really with the chaos line.
It's a lot more involved, for a relatively small increase in dps (around 40k in the best of circumstances).
@@dowfreak7 I play regular condi virtuoso, and this is literally just regular ass cVirt. having 2 extra buttons to press (weapon skill 5 and the heal button) really doesn't make it "a lot more involved" lmao
@@SerrisMerosi we use different skill line, and you try to spend blade songs more often, outside of that yea that's literally all it is, you don't do too much more outside of just maintaining your blade song passive by squeezing in more shatters
@@SerrisMerosi Regular condi virt uses duelist, relies a lot on the two phantasms and aims to maintain the shatter buff, while also not losing out on damage.
I'm not saying cvirt is fucking Catalyst, but I'm also clearly saying that "regular ass cvirt" isn't using chaos.
I hate mesmer :)
