2nd Comment - I just completed my maiden run with the Fast Kumo and it felt great! I trail ran 5 miles with about 11 lbs. It was so stable and felt like an extension of me. Your video really inspired me to test drive today. Thanks Juan!
Nice review. Looks like a great pack. I've been looking into 30-40L packs with the vest style. I like the weight on this. I could use the hip belt on the Vagabond Trail pack too. Or maybe swap in the Airflow sitpad I used for the Mariposa 60. I might wait for a deal. The Aarn Pace Magic 40 looks interesting too.
hi. are those stripes on backpack straps elastic or stable? those on the roght strap orange on the top, grey one liwer and black on the left. there is absolutely no opportunity to move weight to hips? :(( thanks
Thanks for posting this detailed review. I really appreciate your personal thoughts, opinions, and experiences using the Fast Kumo. Now that I have one, I just need to start using it, right?! ☮️❤️🤝 Ps. Agreed, it would be even better if made from one of the newer, hydrophobic materials. I'd love to test that out for GG!
Glad it was helpful! No pack works for everyone but the Fast Kumo fits my fast-packing style and needs surprisingly well. I didn’t feel like it was getting in my way or slowing down the fast-packing “ process”…. If that makes sense.
It doesn't say so on their website, but the size of the pack and pocket would seem to be big enough for a 3L. They are very responsive in their website contact form, so you might try pinging them directly to make sure.
I use Nathan flasks. There are cheaper decent options on Amazon as well that I use and work fine. www.nathansports.com/collections/water-bottles-flasks

Right on man!
Thank you for this. I'm a huge fan of the regular Kumo 36 and have been very interested to hear opinions on this pack. Glad to hear so many positives!
It definitely has a lot of positives. Make the video seem a little “overly positive” but that is what I experienced using the pack.
It would be helpful if you wear it and show how to use all those bells and whistles when the pack was put on.
That’s actually a great idea. I’ll make a part two to this video.

Gossamer gear has excellent sales from time to time. That’s how I’ve bought all my gear through them. The waiting for a sale sometimes kills me. lol.

All the straps are "static" no stretch or very very low stretch.

Thank you for your review. Can I put a 3L hydration bladder inside? Is there a water spout holder for it?
It doesn't say so on their website, but the size of the pack and pocket would seem to be big enough for a 3L. They are very responsive in their website contact form, so you might try pinging them directly to make sure.
I see the hip belt is removable, but is it replaceable? How does it connect to the pack?
It uses simple clips so it would be very easy to remove and add in the field. Very uncomplicated. I like simple!
What soft flasks are you using? Or a link even better!
