Great video! So informative, showing the painstaking adjustments needed to straighten out the fender mounts so they sit right.

I hope it helps. It's a long video that may be boring to many, but I didn't think it would be of much use if I cut any more out of it. Raw it was 1:30. But a lot of that is me wandering around and mumbling to myself and half of it is the headlight installation which I decided to address in part two.

Another great informative video as usual Clint. Worked out great. Great deal on parts too. Probably worthy of another visit back to that Blue 06 for more parts. Thanks

As usual, always great to see your Element videos ! Really helpful because I’ve got a 2003 I want to keep running ad long as possible ! Thanks for posting.

The Element responds well to effort on the part of the owner to keep it rolling. Happy motoring.

Pretty awesome, Clint. I would not have known where to even begin. Watching you work your way through that, I have learned enough to think I might be able to do a little of my own work if that ever happens. (Not many dear around here).

I nearly hit two more deer today in my other car. They are really overpopulated here. I'm glad the video helped. This job was a lot of pushing and pulling but it was a small job, honestly.

Not a body guy... and you present a massive hammer! 🤣 But seriously, I have used those adjustable wrenches to bend sheet metal for years. Two side-by-side can be used to make creases. Did you know that your E is nautically correct? You have a red door garnish on the left side (port) and green garnish on the right side (starboard). LOL. You will have to do this all over again when you replace the door but IMHO, your door looks like it just needs some touch-up paint. BTW, I found that my left door was installed too far forward so I had too little gap in the front and over 3/8th in the back. That may be the reason why you had a conflict when reinstalling at 16:40.

Fun fact, I found that hammer laying on the ground at the junkyard! Glad I had it. It seems it was the perfect tool for the job. I'm sure the door replacement will present a whole new list of issues.

Dude, I need that fender! My daughter's Kiwi green '05 got mashed in a mixup with a semi.

Hi Clint! I woulda took that front fairing off just to get it the hell outta my way. I hate when 5h1t gets in my way.

The front looked so straight after you hammered it, I was thinking it was reverse video.

how much was the cost of each thing, even more so, how much was the WHOLE door?
    It looks great.

A complete door just as it comes off the car is $65. The fender is $40

Great video I am also trying to get the fender off. By chance what kind of tools did you use to get the bolts off. The ones I have are not working.

All the bolts that hold the fender on should be 10MM heads.

Waiting on insurance adjuster to look at my Element,a van pulled out in front of me may have damaged the front subframe.

    • @clintsearcy3252
      @clintsearcy3252  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Nooo!! The subframe under the car isn't too hard to replace. The rails inside the fender are the ones I worry about.
