I disagree, most of Filipinos are pure Filipinos. Spanish and Chinese ancestry are less than what we think... But, because Philippines has a lot of ethnicities itself, we can say that Filipinos are mixed with Filipinos.
Filipino ancestors were diverse since they come from Australia/Taiwan/Africa. The pure Filipino is the homo luzonensis which doesn't exist anymore. *This study has been proven inconclusive as of late, and is therefore not definite, since their samples are below the sufficient amount to arrive at a conclusive result, as well as their sampling period and reach are questionable. This study is inconclusive. Recent studies have shown Filipinos with more European ancestry. Of course, the Chinese ancestry is a given.*
Unless you are certified geneticist you may be misreading what you read about admixtures and the genetic mapping. The mixed Filipino Chinese descent is 22.38 million and the ethnic Chinese is 1.3 million. How is 21 -23% Han Chinese even possible unless the sampling is from the Chinese themselves with some Filipino ancestry? What is Han Chinese unless you refer to East Asian covering not just Chinese, but Koreans and Japanese as well. East Asian genetic mapping could go to populations as far as the indigenous peoples of the Americas and Siberia? Perhaps to avoid your confusion, the better source material is the Genographic Project done by National Geographic with massive genetic testing of 80,000 Filipino test subjects in 2008-2009. The result of an average Filipino genes is 53% Southeast Asia and Oceania, 36% East Asia, 5% Southern Europe .... This will account for why there is no typical Filipino "look." An average Filipino has more genetic relation with the Micronesian Islanders than China. A Filipino can claim to be Asian but it is not a lie to say they are Pacific Islanders and Hispanic to some extent. It is tragic for you Filipinos that you pretend to be East Asian when your culture alone refutes it. Now, as Kpop takes hold you are feminising your young men and poisoning yourselves with whitening products. Just be yourselves because the genetic map alone does not make you East Asian but simply the proof of the migration of different people.

@@ponytail9480 You are pushing a narrative. All these figures and genetic tracing don't mean anything other than tangibles on what groups of people migrated in certain areas. A nation is not your genetic profile. For in that case, the Falasha or the Ethiopian Jews would not have been accepted from the the nation of Dan by Israel because a majority don't have the the mtdna from the Levant. The Chinese population stats are from the official census count of the Philippines. The genetic evidence of Filipinos strongly point to Oceania with admixtures from North east Asians, and Southern Europeans or Spain. Culturally, Filipinos have more connection with Hispanics and Islanders than the pretense of Asian being homogeneous stereotype as a Chinaman. Such idiotic conclusions and the false narratives being pushed as history are myths. Filipinos imitate cultural identities which are not theirs.
Filipinos majority Asian & can look most similar to THAI (Jewish influence). Malaysian & Indonesian (Muslim influence). Majority in SE Asia are Chinito/Asian looking. There are millions of Full pinoy that can look NE Asian with fair skin especially in coldest regions. Some got DNA tested using saliva or hair sample. The test results came back: Above 80-90% Filipino, And only 1% Spanish & Portugese. Without a DNA test, Pinoys can look at their family tree, Spanish or Philippine language last name on both parents side (some Tagalog last names can same as neibor countries). Portugal discovered PH, Spanish Empire were there to turn Pinoys Christian & were fully driven out by the Quezon era.
when you say FIlipino, it also means that we are mixed even our last names in the Philippines are spanish last names, even our country's name derived from King Philipp of Spain. we were governed by Spain before the U.S

Saying someone is full Filipino is difficult since almost everyone has foreign blood. A lot of people don’t know the nationality of their ancestors (especially pre-colonization) so they usually just say they’re full Filipino. The Philippines had lots of migrants (Chinese, Malays, etc) even before the Spaniards came. Our DNA is not as homogenous as the Japanese, for example. Colonization made it worse.
Stop claiming random numbers without any scientific basis sir,you must be lost some how,in many studies claims that Philippines has no Europeans ancestry, only 1-3 have minimal degree of spanish blood, and there are about 600 to 700,000 fil-am at this present days, which means the colonization didnt effect their genetics, only the culture
Could you please present you're conclusions here, who conducted the study and where did you get those claims?,if you cant prove it then dont state it,you just making it more complicated, those are just artists, they dont represent the countries majority my dude,Philippine showbiz industry only commonly pick European beauty rather than their own race
Christopher C look to the consensus,a basic procedure for you to find out that Philippines is consist of 50% South East Asian and 30 to 40% of it are East Asian race, only 1/3% of the country have minimal degree of spanish and majority has no link to spanish ancestry, only 900,000 are officially recognized as Fil-Am more than 0.9% of its population,a small fraction to be claimed that can effect the feature of its people.
In fact majority of the country are came from Austronesian race which located from Taiwan, and the blood of filipino predominantly occupied by Chinese ancestry, more than 35% was recorded who have chinese blood
For those who didn't know according to Cambridge UK and Standford University consensus filipino dont have spanish ancestry at all, only 1-3% of its population have minor degrees of spanish blood,in 2013 consensus in the Philippines there are more than 35% of the Philippine population have Chinese ancestry, concurrently in the majority scale of report conducted by NatGeo Philippine reference population it consist of 50% South East Asian race,30 to 40% are East Asians, besically Philippines is an Asian country geographically and genetically, those studies are conducted by prestige universities and NatGeo a reliable source for genetical studies.
The Stanford study was not about measuring ancestry as a whole. It was only about paternal haplogroups. You need to understand the study before you make comments like this. And that study only had 28 participants. There's a much larger study (the GERA study) that had 1,700 Filipinos out of 7,500 Asians. They specifically mention Filipinos 3 times in the study noting that European ancestry was common. "Of particular interest is the continuous nature of a modest amount of European genetic ancestry in self-identified Filipinos." They didn't find this trend in the other Asian groups The official study name is: "Characterizing Race/Ethnicity and Genetic Ancestry for 100,000 Subjects in the Genetic Epidemiology Research on Adult Health and Aging (GERA) Cohort" Read it yourself.
@Kambing101 haplogroups don't tell much about your overall DNA. They only tell about 2 specific lines of ancestry out of the thousands of lines that you have. A person can be 90% Filipino and still have a European hapologroup, and the opposite can also be true. You need to look at studies that test autosomal DNA, not just haplogroups
@@marimar3161 It was not just the Stanford, many studies also said it and clarified this, from DNA lets proceed and elaborate to get rid of you're ignorance shall we, (Do Filipinos have Spanish or Chinese descent, or do we have the same blood as Indonesians)? There’s alot of misconception due to the complex history of the Philippines that makes it alot like an onion with many layers, but thankfully many genetic tests have been performed by researchers from around the world and have pretty much cleared up the confusions. Filipinos are ethnically and genetically distinct and separate from their Malaysian and Indonesian neighbours. Malays and Indonesians are genetically Austroasiatics (Khmers, Vietnamese etc) who have undergone a language-shift to Austronesian and their Urheimat is in mainland South East Asia whereas Filipinos are not only Austronesians language-wise but are also genetically Austronesians and together with their closest genetic relatives, the Amis tribes of Taiwan, their Urheimat is ancient coastal East Asia (north) and coastal East Asia (south). Hence their genes consist of ancient East Ancient (north) and ancient East Asian (south) which were 2 genetically distinct peoples: (see Jose Cruz's answer to Are the people of the Philippines ethnic origin from Southern China?) The charts below clearly show that overall, Filipino genes cluster together with the Taiwanese and are distantly placed from Malays and Indonesians. The chart of Philippines Paternal Lineage below also shows the male lineage to be clustered with and are intermediate between the China/Taiwan Chinese and the Taiwan Aborigines. This is not surprising as Han Chinese traders and artisans started arriving in the Philippines from Fujian province almost 2000 years ago with many choosing to settle down with the local women and assimilating into the local

@@dondonzelo8757 Again. That's about haplogroups, not autosomal ancestry. Haplogroups only tell about a tiny portion of ancestry. Everyone has thousands of lines of ancestry but your maternal and paternal haplogroups only tell about 2 specific lines of ancestry. You need to look at autosomal studies

You look so elegant in your classy outfit Miss Mana.💎✨✨✨
Thank you guys..im a filipino🇵🇭
Well, Justin is from the SB-19 group and when they went around Korea, they were asked by Korean passersby if they were from K-POP group.
なかなか難しいクイズでした😅
でも楽しかった👍
Mana loves some of Filipino celebrities too 💞
New subscriber here guys Love u alot ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍😍
Sometimes I can tell by their mannerisms but if I can’t I just listen to what language they’re speaking 😂
You can tell by their accent
Im Filipina from Philippines yehey..im so proud Filipina..surigao
when you say FIlipino, it also means that we are mixed even our last names in the Philippines are spanish last names, even our country's name derived from King Philipp of Spain. we were governed by Spain before the U.S
Hi I'm Filipino, and I'like so much Japanese Girls😍
BTW I'm Jav Fan watcher here 😘
Mana, there are many Filipino-Japanese celebrities in Japan... You will be shocked that they're part Filipino 😂 There's a viseo about it in TH-cam...I hope you can react about it too...😂
I agree! Mana should make a video about it. plenty of filipino-japanese hafus in showbiz. She can also add filipino basketball players in japan like dwight ramos & kobe paras.
I love your Filipino guessing games that’s so awesome and fun. ❤❤❤
Good vibes vlog half Filipino-not😅✌️, Ms mana so super cute sana all😇💖😍, ingat always po & stay safe
Even Filipinos are a group of many islands, so in a country where many people live?
The Japanese should also understand them from multiple angles.
Lol epic fail,you're wrong
Hi Mana, at first glance i thought you are a half Pinay, so your topics are focused on the Philippines and about the Filipino people 😀
For those who didn't know according to Cambridge UK and Standford University consensus filipino dont have spanish ancestry at all, only 1-3% of its population have minor degrees of spanish blood,in 2013 consensus in the Philippines there are more than 35% of the Philippine population have Chinese ancestry, concurrently in the majority scale of report conducted by NatGeo Philippine reference population it consist of 50% South East Asian race,30 to 40% are East Asians, besically Philippines is an Asian country geographically and genetically, those studies are conducted by prestige universities and NatGeo a reliable source for genetical studies.
"Of particular interest is the continuous nature of a modest amount of European genetic ancestry in self-identified Filipinos." They didn't find this trend in the other Asian groups
The official study name is: "Characterizing Race/Ethnicity and Genetic Ancestry for 100,000 Subjects in the Genetic Epidemiology Research on Adult Health and Aging (GERA) Cohort" Read it yourself.
@@marimar3161 It was not just the Stanford, many studies also said it and clarified this, from DNA lets proceed and elaborate to get rid of you're ignorance shall we,
(Do Filipinos have Spanish or Chinese descent, or do we have the same blood as Indonesians)?
@@marimar3161 Read it ignorant, here it was said by the DNA results known as Philippine Paternal Lineage conducted by PCA based on NRY haplogroup frequencies and PCA based on mtDNA haplogroup frequencies It is estimated that 30-40% (the majority likely of Chinese admixture). The comprehensive genetic map below shows that the average Filipino individual’s genome of the 2 largest ethnic groups of the Philippines( ie. Tagalog,Visayans ) is made up 21-23% Han Chinese genes, and said that only 2-3% of population of the country have European (mostly Spanish) and 1.5% Austroasiatic, considering that the 2-3% are not acceptable to claimed the country affected by the Spanish admixing or in short an extinct bloodline, and beside it was not just Standford who said that even NatGeo who is reliable for siting due to its scientific bases of study saying that the country is consist of 50% South East Asian ancestry and 30-40% are East Asians
Filipinos from the past and now are combination of west ( mostly Spanish and east ( malayan and Chinese) ancestry. We are the most high breed race in Asia. All of the Filipinos shown are mixed blood. If not directly from their parents, they can be from their grand parents and great grandparents.

As for Justin, he has that Korean style of makeup/looks because their management are Koreans. He belongs to a ppop group, SB19.
I ENJOY WATCHING!!!❤️❤️❤️
Great video Mana as always! Side note: I think it’s important to understand that, “American” is not a race/ ethnicity, like many countries it’s mixed with a foundation of immigrants. So as a Fil-am, or just as an American, we usually just call people of European decent as “White”. AKA white American. 🫶🏼✌️✌️
even us, it's not easy to tell obviously when they're half Foreign or pure Filipina, the only obvious for us to tell are those half Chinese, because there's a lot of Chinoy in the Philippines but sometimes the name give it away
I wish you also react to "10 Christmas tradition in the philippines"💗
In Japan there have half Filipino blood & they are celebrity . When I see they face so pretty & handsome coz they are mix LIKE HALF FIL/JAPAN 😍😍

you can tell if the person is full breed or half if you are familiar of the family names..just look at the family names ..ex. dela cruz or de dios..that is a spanish but they consider it as filipino full breed and most of the filipinos are spanish breed
My great grandfather is a Chinese merchant and great grandmother is a mestiza on my father's father side of the family while both of my grandfather and grandmother on my mother's side is full Filipino.
Hello po im a filipino new subs here i love japanese woman
Ikaw Manabee para kang filipina at Japanese 💖💖💖 🇵🇭
Pogi tlga ni jah 😂❤️❤️
Philippine ethnicities are mostly Malay Origin and Ethnic Chinese Mixed (Through early trades pre colonial) and other (East Asians) with just a dash of western because of Spain and American Colonial Rule. I think not so many people know that PH is a melting pot country as well. Some foreigners I met when they think of Philippines they think it’s a typical Malay or Austronesian image just like how other people think that US is “white” but you will meet a lot of Americans from different Racial Backgrounds and Country of Origin.
i love your 123 nl9g . God bless you
So cute🥰🥰 omg japanese people is so gorgeous and cute too🇵🇭 from Philippines here ganbatte more😊
