Here's my thought on this whole thing. Police and military would be stretched very thin in all major cities and large towns. There's people in this country who's extremely organized and very well trained. When people who know how to survive come out in the dark under tyrant leaders and followers. One by one, they will fall. Because there's more than us than them. The movie The Purge Forever at the end told a tale better than anything. The military and law lost control. I am at a loss of words for what may come. Fortunately, the USA is a huge chunk of real estate. I live in, Oregon, as an example. The military and the police in my opinion, will limited to the 5 or 6 major Cities in Oregon, and this will spread the Military and Police very thin. Not enough to patrol the Rural areas and small cities or communities. There is a problem with supplies and resupplies for just one state military and police with "beans and bullets." Now multiply that with 50 other states to contend with. When the bullets and beans run out, those that are to protect us, will run out. The citizens will see those protecting them as the "Haves" vs "The Have Nots." They have families, and self interests to protect. (Look to the Russian Revolution as an example when the military there, mutinied in mass.). That is when things got interesting and the civilians suffered the most. Just saying, for a few months, there may be order, but order quickly decays. The knee jerk reaction by those in charge, to "clamp down" eventually is a old method from out of date play book which will be repeated again and lead to the same results as in the past.
You’ve really thought this through, and I think you’re onto something with the idea that the military and police would be stretched too thin, especially in rural areas. In a country as vast as the U.S., focusing on major cities leaves a lot of ground uncovered, and when resources start to run low, things could quickly spiral out of control. Your comparison to the Russian Revolution is a solid one-history does have a way of repeating itself, especially when those who are supposed to protect the people become seen as the “haves” versus the “have nots.” The initial order might hold for a while, but as you said, it could decay fast, and that’s when things get really unpredictable. It’s definitely a situation where being prepared, especially if you’re outside those major urban areas, can give you a better chance of navigating the chaos.

Well shit.
hey Danielle
