As an Israeli American who grew up in Israel, and lives here- I can say that all the ridiculous things that Cenk says about how Israeli's view the situation- is farthest from the truth.
Also, this notion that the death toll is going to be linear and based on how things have been is BS- I would love to see a graph of casualties on the Palestinian side, as I would believe that while the number is going up, it is way way lower since the ground invasion began.
How the F does he say that Israel's numbers are propaganda, but Hamas's numbers are accurate. When there are video of Hamas, showing them conduct combat in civilian clothing- I think it helps demonstrate that the numbers are skewed or include terrorists.
Finally- Israel has to throw its own government, but for the past 10+ years of the Hamas rule- there is no obligation for their people to overthrow the government?
I really don't believe that Bibi will be in power at the end of this, everyone at the top who was in power- needs to go. Ministry of Defense, Prime minister, Head of the army, head of intelligence etc. There is a time for everything, and when this horrible war ends, things will change within Israel- not when it's fighting.
So glad this loser Cenk has no future in politics.
      Oh, I'm only 15 minutes in 😂

Cenk (a... Turk) believes that we shouldn't go back to 1967 to consider how the occupation started.
Wonder why he doesn't want to keep creeping back in history?
Perhaps because this whole problem was caused by the Ottoman Turks screwing up this whole region playing arabs against every other group (Jews, Assyrians, Armenians, Christians, Druze, Africans, anyone not Islam/Arab).
Palestinians do hate Jews for being Jews.
They always fall on the side of Jews being at fault, just like Cenk.
That is the Jew hate - the application of agency PURELY to Jews.
Whenever Palestinians are called on to judge who is their oppressor - Jews or Islamists, they ALWAYS choose Jews, and so does Cenk.

The numbers Hamas gives out should be the least trusted of all numbers, the numbers the UN give out should be 2nd least, and then the numbers given by the Idf...but guess what we have numbers from neutral countries that all corroborate Hamas deaths in at minimum 25% of all deaths in the war, which is sadly high considering A. It does not include Hamas adjacent Palestinians with intent to kill/weapons, including the brainwashed kids with guns, sorry but a 12 yo with an RPg is no longer civilian. B. It comes with the morale failure of Jihadis putting artillery over apartment buildings, in school yards, and right next to hospital generators...either way Israel cannot just let Terrorists get away with what they did, the west has a strict no negotiating with terrorist policy because guess what? It never works! You always lose. Every conversation I have on the subject starts with "Did Israel blow up the Al-Alhi hospital(or any hospital) in Gaza" if the answer is "Yes" the debate is over, because it is factually inaccurate and proves the person is deep within Hamas propaganda. If they say, no, that was a misfired Hamas rocket from nearby, they are operating with facts and it will be a good debats.

42:56 This right here once again shows that Cenk has no idea how warfare works and is simply asking for IDF solider to go on suicide missions for the sake Palestinians. Telling IDF to clear out those tunnels is a suicide mission, does he not remember how bad the tunnel rat situation was in Vietnam? Think about how much more modern and deadly these modern day tunnels would be compared to the Vietcong. That’s asking for a suicide mission. Even going into Gaza at all is already a massive risk. We saw what happened when America tried to do a similar operation in Mogadishu. They went to extract an HVT from a building in the middle of the city, sending a whole base of regular army and green berets, one of the best special forces teams in the world. They suffered one of the worst military disasters in recent US history and BlackHawk down became an infamous phrase among service members. So even a ground invasion of Gaza is asking a lot, but to say “Just go into the tunnels bro” is just being stupid and putting your ignorance on full display.

Germany which was also radicalised (Nazi Germany) Lost a war lost alot of Land, (East Germany, Danzig , Konigsberg) , Prussia was wiped off the map completely. Suffered Tragedies such as The Dresden Firestorm, Rape of Berlin.
They accepted the surrender, moved on and created a new state which is an European Powerhouse.
Palestine, should just move on, accept the fact they lost 2 wars and should just look forward to build a new country instead of looking back. After Germany stabilised and moved on, the Allies left the occupation of Germany (Save the USSR)
There are other bigger problems in the world such as Indonesia anexation and genocide of the West Papau people, the racist government constitution of Malaysia and Indonesia, the oppression of Myammar and Venezuela Crisis.

The difference being that black people in the U.S. actually had constitutional rights on paper per the 13, 14th and 15th Amendments, but it was ignored for about a century. With respect to Palestinians, they have no such rights on paper or otherwise. They are technically citizenless. Therefore they are subject to Israeli rule by military tribunal or in other words, justice by way of kangaroo 🦘 courts.

israel wasn't created by england though.
you clearly lack any historical knowledge.
israel declared independance after the british rule (literally the day after the mandate ended and the british left).
they left not because of the jews nor israel, but duo to the mandate ending as per a UN decision.
the UN decision happened by the UN, not by the british, with a majority in favor for recognizing the rights of both israeli state and palestinian state (to be precise an arab state, the word palestinian was used after the fact to describe the nationality of arabs from the mandate of palestine), with specific borders.
this decision does gove legitimacy to both states, but didnt come to forewishen due to the first israeli-arab war which started after that decleration in 1947. even so, the british decided to leave per the date in the decision.
the israeli government wasnt created by the british, nor had been supported by it finnancially nor diplomaticly nor militarily.
so israel wasnt created by england.
as per "the west" recognizes palestine, to be more precise the UN recognizes tge palestinian authority as the representive of palestinians in territories under israel, and it recognizes them as an observer state, not fully a state, but an entity in the process to becoming one.
and btw, if we are talking about things the british creayed in this area, before the mandate of palestine the area was known by names like greater syria or trans-jordan, not palestine. its the british who called that land palestine. and the leader of palestinians at the time, the mufti amin al husseini, was elected by the british. so if we are talking about things the british created, well, palestine will be a better candidate than israel.
(it's still not because thats not how countries work)

Cenk is terrible at debating. I've seen probably a half dozen or so debates with Cenk, where he's debating people I agree with, as well as disagree with. Cenk loses all of the debates for the same reason. He does this thing where he relies on emotional reactions, and it actually makes me laugh now. The first several times I watched him do it, I remember getting really annoyed by it. Now I've come to realize it's just a debate strategy. It doesn't work though. Perhaps it works on people with swollen amygdala's, but it's not going to win a debate.

He's been told by multiple people that the numbers he's quoting are Hamas numbers, but he doesn't care because for some bizarre reason he thinks making the Palestinian side of the conflict as his signature campaign issue is somehow going to deliver him an electoral landslide.
Hamas doesn't care about losses, on either side, but they know their rivals value life, so they use that as just another weapon, and Cenk's more than happy to be their useful idiot, because he hates Israel about as much as they do, and the only question is whether he hates Armenians more.
I know he said he's running as kind of like a message/protest thing, but I know Cenk's ego: that's a smokescreen and he's in deep denial about how little of a chance he has, but if he admits he's lost before he began, his ego will shatter.

Also, that clearly fake anecdote about training with the IDF was completely unnecessary, and only serves to demonstrate how bad faith you are.

@@drownthepoor You can't create a moral equivalence between what was done to Shani Louk on Oct. 7th, and a Gazan child killed in an Israeli air strike that was a military response to Hamas's act of war, after the IDF warned civilians to leave an area that was targeted for military strikes because Hamas was using it for military purposes. A death like that COULD be prevented by that child's own people, if they valued her life enough. Why are there no civilian bomb shelters in Gaza, when they're everywhere in Israel? Even the Nazis in WWII cared enough about their own civilians to build bomb shelters, and to organize evacuation protocols, eg. in neighbourhoods where there were no shelters they would designate homes with the strongest and most spacious basements to be the places of refuge for the whole street whenever there was an air raid warning. Hamas just shoots civilians trying to flee danger. The IDF, for all the wrongs they've done, would simply never do to a Palestinian - even a captured Hamas fighter, let alone a female civilian - what Hamas did to Shani Louk. Israeli civilians - children included - would never run behind the mutilated body of a Palestinian civilian woman hitting and spitting on her. And you know that. @@sisandamatomela3272The problem is that everyone wants to put that blame on Israel. Hamas is the Authority in Gaza for all intents and purposes. It is their responsibility to insure the safety of those innocents. They provoke an attack from Israel and then just hide amongst the population. They have these underground tunnels and bunkers that hide away their soldiers but they don't let the civilians in there which would at least somewhat protect them. I haven't heard of a single measure Hamas has taken to protect it's people from the bombs or the ground forces. The fact is it's not Israel's job to care for the people of Gaza. Even still they have done more than any other army would do when it comes to trying to minimize the casualties. However it is unrealistic what people keep trying to argue. Hamas should be the ones trying to get their people out of harms way. That's just a fact. The exact number of people killed is what people focus on because they are trying to find a way to blame Israel. The fact is that if you want to blame people for the deaths blame Hamas period. Those deaths are on their hands. They started a conflict with no means to protect those innocents when they knew retaliation was coming. Not only that they are operating out of civilian infrastucture. That's just the facts. If they wanted a better life maybe they shouldn't have burned down those green houses Israel left for them. How about that flower exporting business? The fact is Gaza could have gone in a completely different direction. Instead they want to tear up pipes and fire rockets. This was preventable in so many ways on both sides but it's only one side that gets violent first. So many points on the Palestinian side get ignored so much because they are the ones who have lost out and it's understandable that people feel emotionally charge at what they are going threw but it's not all on Israel and it's down right wrong to keep holding them to this standard but then people want to excuse Hamas actions. The deaths happening now are beyond description but so were the deaths and kidnappings on 10/07. All is precious period. Throwing out all these numbers in an attempted to assign some kind of blame on Israel is disgusting at best. Life is precious and Hamas went into Israel on October 7th to end life and to cause as much damage as they could and they went there with that sole purpose. Then said they would do again and again. There is no acceptable number when it comes to something like that. The fact is they did what they did. Israel is now responding. The problem is that Israel is far more capable of killing more people without trying to. So proportionality is just not an argument here. The fact is Hamas should have focused less on trying to kill as many Israelis as possible and more on trying to find a way to maybe take care of it's people.
