In the live footage I've seen, they appear to barre the chords starting at the 10th fret on the E string & stay on that string rather than alternate between the A string & E string. They also strum the strings open between each chord.
Hey Marty, and thanks for this rocking lesson! I would need a lesson on how to prevent the wrong strings from resonating when I'm doing something with the others, like when doing pull offs, or concentrating on some other moves.

Ok all jokes aside about how Marty often puts out a tutorial shortly after I listen to a song etc (which has happened maybe 10 times). I just randomly looked up this video yesterday because I hadn’t heard it in so long. Watched the original and 2 or 3 live performances. Then Marty puts this out today??? Freaky!!! Lol

Heh Marty, This is surprisingly very good. Picked up a fair bit. Not as a guitar player unfortunately, but as a music fan. Anyway, I clicked this on because im trying to find out how the Hives make that unique guitar sound, or at least i think its a guitar sound. I think you know what I'm talking about, in the Official film clip, it is 30 seconds in. I've seen them do it live too, but it differs. I don't think its a kids toy like in Rebel Yell. Between the c and f power chord changes, if you kind of mute instead of slide its a bit more percussive rather than slurring chords together
