He's amazing. I have two degrees, I haven't been able to find a job, and I usually can't even beat my own high scores in old arcade games. He's the world champ.
On July 26, 2007, in celebration of the film's release and the 25th anniversary of Mitchell's first record-setting performance, Mitchell again played in public and retook the Donkey Kong record with a score of 1,050,200, though that score was surpassed on February 26, 2010 by Hank Chien, who was temporarily the record holder at Donkey Kong. However Billy Mitchell reclaimed his title once again on July 24, 2010.On September 20, 2010, Steve Wiebe once again took the title with a score of 1,064,500.
Yeah, since Bleep Bloop made this video, Dr. Chein score is now 3rd place. Billy passed him again in July. Then Steve regained his title of "The King of Kong" in September (Yay!)
Donkey Kong was originally designed as a 'Popeye' game but Nintendo didn't get the rights to use the license in time so they switched the characters to some guy with a mustache and a gorilla. Also, the guy who created it thought 'donkey' was an insulting word in English, so if you think about it, the game was almost called 'Ass Kong.'
ummm hes not the world record holder anymore, Steve Wiebe re-claimed the title in august, still very cool and impressive, lot of respect for Dr. Chien!
@armegeddon11 Watch the documentary he refers too.. There are more then one glitch in DK and virtually any game, the game will eventually go to a 'kill screen' where the memory is full and it just ends. It is still an accomplishment. DK , is considered the 'golden idol' of arcade games.. though imo .. The original asteroids was where it all began.
@klayman2 He posted his high score in March, and hasn't held the record on Donkey Kong since July, when Billy Mitchell beat his score. Wiebe broke the record again in September. If this interview was done a month ago, he was #3 at that time.
@GodSince1994 that was going to be my complaint, or at in the very least release an extended version because I would have liked to hear what he was talking about.
they cut out so much of what the guy had to say to squeeze in their little comedic quips -_-". I wanted to hear more from him. He seems really intelligent.

Is there an extended interview? I'd love to see more of this one :)
It's amazing how short a time it took him to get his high score, but he's only #3 in the standings now. Steve Wiebe is back on top as of 9/20.
This guy is super cool, this has been one of the best bleep bloops ever. STEVE WEIBE!!
This guy is brilliant... you can tell by listening to him speak for under 5 minutes, wow.
I was about to watch this video, but then a commercial came on so i pressed the back button.

Yeah, since Bleep Bloop made this video, Dr. Chein score is now 3rd place. Billy passed him again in July. Then Steve regained his title of "The King of Kong" in September (Yay!)
I love that he knows the world cares more about his world record rather tham his education
