Nature mysticism, Swedish legends, magical melodies, and traditional medieval instruments are the components used by Fejd to weave their impressive tapestry of sound. Violins and hurdy-gurdies awaken the dancing elves, while the sound of bagpipes and whistles summon other legendary characters out from the underbrush. In addition, the clean vocals of Patrik Rimmerfors join in to provide the listener with a clear picture of a traveling musician seated before a flickering campfire. Only the drums lend the tracks a breath of the present without ever forcing their way to the forefront. Gems like "Alvas Halling" and "Aring" make Fejd's latest work; "Eifur", a mystic and traditional album that shines a bright light on Sweden's fables and legends. Fejd delivers medieval folk for admirers of authentic Nordic sounds!

Hear the wind's wailing, hear the forest's song
You are whispering around me in thoughts away
You are like the play of fate
You are like the betrayal of death
There, beyond from time and space
      nothing is forgotten
      Are you coming my friend
      still so strong
      when everything have broken down
      then take my hand
You are like the play of fate
You are like the betrayal of death
There, beyond from time and space
      nothing is forgotten
the sun rising up now and the day is approaching again
Now are the dark thoughts in my mind dissolving
For the last time is that pain leaving me
when the last tears of sorrow have flown down to the black earth
In every flower is a treasure hiding
Tell the fortune from the star that times have seen
everything is silent, the rage is awakening bear your load, we are not falling without sorrow
You are like the play of fate
You are like the betrayal of death
There, beyond from time and space
      nothing is forgotten
the sun rising up now and the day is approaching again
Now are the dark thoughts in my mind dissolving
For the last time is the pain leaving me
when the last tears of sorrow have flown down
      to the black earth

not all scandinavian people at that time were vikings (warriors, seafarers, traders and nomads)
a big junk were peasants, hunters, smiths, miners etc.
some also say that these simple people were the ones with the norse religion, and that the vikings didn't have an actual religion, but were agnostic/atheistic
in short: vikings were very modern people compared to the rest of europeans, they also were not nearly as filthy as christian europeans

Actually that particular variant of harpa Niklas plays is called a Moraharpa, widely thought to be the Nyckelharpa's predecessor. Nyckelharpor have 3 "melody strings" and a drone. Moraharpor have a single melody string.

vikings were always described by christian people as barbaric and primitive, to make them look bad, but that's not the truth
wearing a Tyr rune says absolutely nothing about their development status, and having sex while others are present doesn't either, many people do that nowadays, and quite frankly I don't like poeple who are afraid of anything related to sex.
Also, there was no way you could be less hygienic than central europeans at that time, so: incompetent observations

Arabic historians, sent to Volga Bulgaria, have left some observations about the swedish varyags that traded and lived for months on the Volga banks - they are described as people with low hygiene and had the practice to have sex with a female while the others were in the tent. Varyags that were in service to the Emperor of Byzantium are said to have worn mainly the Tyr rune on their shields, most notably when defending Constantinople against the Latin knights. They were not modern by any means.
