Lyrics:
Rista skalda ord för att väcka den döde
Bringa styrka till att bryta de fängsel
Som nu fjättrar hans vandring på jorden
Staven föres djupt ned i marken
Elden brinner med dess visdom av åldren
Spetsa lågorna sida vid sida
Ǻngor fyller de trollbundas sinnen
Gasten mäler och träd in i sejden
Härjaren han dväljes i sin grav
All den rikedomen som döljer sig där
Res dig upp du hövding av nord
Länge förliden i sömn
Gripp dit svärd för väl och ve
Härjaren han dväljes i sin grav
All den rikedomen som döljer sig där
Stridens banemän tillika vårt öde
Såsom meningen i blodet som flyter
Tyda frihet i skuggor som skyler
Mana folket som föll in i striden
Härjaren han dväljes i sin grav
All den rikedomen som döljer sig där
Saw them life at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen this weekend and they were so good. Such an underrated band, they deserve so much more recognition
Excelente música, excelente vídeo!!!!... Greetings from Brazil!!!!
I really like this spirit summoning dude of a people thing; summoning an avatar to defend his place/people/authority/whatever. It's pretty badass, symbolic or otherwise
Honestly, this is so fucking excellent. You guys are excellent no matter if you add distortion guitars or not, but this is definitely an excellent piece of Folk Metal.
Agreed.
Огонь!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥
I played this for my grandma. By the end of the song she had built a ship and told me, "get in loser we're going on a raid!"

3:07 U NO HIT A MAN SWINGING THAT SWORD LIKE A FLAG
had men been more like flailing flag man, the world would be a better place
🎉
💙💛 Lyrics:
Carve bald words to wake the dead
Bring strength to break the prisons
Which now shackles his walk on earth
The pole is driven deep into the ground
The fire burns with its wisdom of age
Point the flames side by side
Ǻngor fills the enchanted minds
Gasten measures and enters the sejden
The destroyer he dwells in his grave
All the wealth that hides there
Arise thou chief of the north
Long passed in sleep
Grab your sword for good and ill
The destroyer he dwells in his grave
All the wealth that hides there
The pioneers of the battle are also our destiny
Like the meaning in the blood that flows
Decipher freedom in shadows that cloud
Summon the people who fell into battle
The destroyer he dwells in his grave
All the wealth that hides there

It sounds ok but I prefer them when they focus on sorely folk music.
i dunno.... i feel more for the fighter that is against such policies. just motho.......
The guitars are awesome, but someone obviously played too much with the master limiter causing the sound to become very messy
Agreed, someone at the studio forgot to turn on the compressor lol
It is a folky sound, which isn't really supposed to use compression, thus the sound is more earthy, more ancient
The band can call this progression all they want but I dont call it progression when you are doing exactly what every other folk metal band is doing. Fejd had a unique sound which set them apart from the rest. Not anymore.
+tstampedspear The problem is that you can't really call their previous albums folk metal, it was more folk rock. So if they want to be a household name in the Folk Metal scene, they really had to go for a more metal sound.
Tristan Isaac I considered them to be "true" folk metal. everything about them was metal xept for the lack of distorted guitars. Especially the double bass drums.
+tstampedspear I disagree, sorry but I cant hear any drastic change from the previous albums, this is in fact even better because I like heavier sound
+tstampedspear I agree. With previous albums they achieved "metal" without resorting to common instrumental setup of the genre. I understand they wanted to change the sound, but that change should've been achieved through the use of traditional instruments (as it was up to this point). On the other hand, regular metal fans will love this because it's "heavier"...
To be honest, I saw this coming from a mile away, and I don't fault them for it. Some fans might say this is "completely derailing from their original style", others will say that it's a "fresh new way to look at their music". It's mostly hit and miss for "niche" bands such as Fejd, but like others said previously, they would need to, say, up the ante on their music if they want to be better recognized in the music world.
Sure, they had a solid thing going for them, their folk-focused (try saying that three times fast) style gave them authenticity, but, much like Opeth pretty much ditched the whole "death metal" thing they had going and still managed to make two solid albums, I don't see why Fejd could not do the same. I guess it's a matter to time to see how Trolldom will turn out, maybe this is the only metalish song in there, maybe the rest of the album is focused on the folk aspect, like one would expect from a Fejd album.
PS: The solo was a bit much, I'll admit.
