So could I shorten the cord by doing this if I am going to leave it mounted on a shelf without voiding the warranty?

Too bad they didn’t answer. I bet it would void it, since they weren’t the ones that actually did it. I’m even surprised they put out this video since some people that have little mechanical ability try things like this and completely screw it up.

Why is the Active 2.0 made with a 2-wire cord and not three (grounded) like this one?
