24:37 if both players are just passing while both have a mandatory effect to resolve in EP, the turn player has to break the loop by resolving an effect first.
Bro if it's your turn you have to resolve your end phase effects. What that branded player did wasn't right. Before I get a response saying you can't. If mirror jade vs mirror jade crash and both players decide to nuke field in the end phase. So both players can just keep passing priority to the other player until they do something? How many time can we just keep passing priority. The turn player resolve their end effects first.
I was snake-eyes player, I'll answer some of the topics mentioned: Deck was 50 cards, list is uploaded now. G2 Kuri add was exactly as DB said, added for the quem, in hindsight correct play was 100% add pop and save 141 for oak. There was a lot I wish I could do differently from that game, so lots of opportunities to improve my branded matchup. G3 I let myself get distracted by checking the imperm column (figuring out which one successfully hit the cart) and missed the princess summon oopsie. During the end phase, he passed prio, I passed back, he is forced to resolve Mirrorjade first as turn player, SP resolve 2nd. The reason I hit the Mirrorjade with Unicorn was to keep it out of the game in combination with the SP banish cause I could Princess the Cart later keep him off Puppet lock (then oops'd it). The deck was built for top cut, punishing board breaker builds when going first. I had a tough swiss run against handtrap build variance, got lucky it was a top 64 cut, then was rewarded for the build in top cut. I resolved the ftk 7 times in topcut rounds, 3/6 topcut rounds were 2-0's cause the deck is just normal snake eyes kash when going 2nd. (I really hope the ftk cards get banned)
The event was 9 rounds, iirc 270 ish players but top 64 (as per konami rules or w.e idk) so around 2/3rd of the X-3s topped and 3 of the top 4 were X-3 (6-3).
Yea Kalist forgot about lost. Correct sequence of events would be (in the main phase) Cartesia effect summon GGG (you'd have to wait for them to make a play tho cuz cart is main phase and turn player priority things) New chain they can go Unicorn 1 and Princess 2 if they want to (if the first play was NS oak which they searched, but likely saving princess for the next turn is better) CL3 GGG CL4 lost search whatever for follow up CL5 BiR target albaz Albaz + GGG for sanctifire, GGG dumps puppet, unicorn rips 1, princess might summon if they chose to use it New chain birth 1 and it doesn't matter what it targets, cl2 sanctifire targets puppet + 1 (ideally the other monster targeted by birth if any) and that should be more than enough to get to next turn and kill them (if the SE player summoned princess, probably best to crash it into sanctifire so that its live next turn?)
@@Kalmight albaz was already in the grave courtesy of branded fusion. Cartesia was on field after being impermed. He triggered lost to search in the ep after unicorn returned which turned birth live to banish the albaz
Start of end phase. Turn player passes priority. Opposing player passes back. Move to end the end phase, passes priority back to opposing player. After that, you must resolve any other EP effects. You can choose to do them earlier, but that is the timing for mandatory EP effects. In short, opposing player passes twice before mandatory effects
In game 3, they didn’t have the second mirrorjade as it was banished from unicorn. They should’ve not used lost though, which would let them get gimmick on the opponents turn with cartesia fusing, then branded in red. Just played branded in a big tournament yesterday, and it really just felt like looking for how to lock the opponent in most games
For End Phase priority, it CAN work that way you describe, but only if you are the only one that knows you can do that. Because if your opponent starts passing prio back to you, it just keeps going back and forth until the Turn Player is forced to resolve their effects first.
in match 3, Granguinol could have sent Ad libitum, then the player could have activaded branded in red target ad libitum, fuse into chimera or quaretis, then in a new chain protected under lost use ad libitum to bring back the mirrorjade banished with s:p (since it was face up) and search for mercurier, personally in third round i think its best to side in masquerade to burn the opponent so that granguinol had another target to tag out. I think using the quem as a material for branded in red would have given them game but it sucks to lose your quem like that
Yo Grinder, i have a question. Does SP coming back with say a barrone not count as special summons? I was playing master duel and I was running vaylantz on a bet. My friend didn't think it could win in master rank lol. Basically they made barrone plus sp and tagged out on my turn. I normal summoned fossil dyna but they still came back. Seems odd but maybe I'm just learning something fir the first time lol
it "simply" comes back (not really simply, but ok). destroyer phoenix enforcer summons in standby, zealantis banishes and summons in the same chain. yes, it's a bit weird.
A lot of mistakes there... The Branded guy should have wait to S:P returned to blow up with mirrorjade... Then just special summon Albaz with Titaniklad and in opponent's MP1 fuse Albaz and Cartesia into Granguignol... Dump Puppet then Branded in Red into Sanctifire and puppet lock. Then, match finished.
you can only do that if the opponent is stupid , they may have even tried it here but as long as the opponent understands priority they won’t fall for it
Starting in 80k life points gives a little bit of an advantage
Tenpai can lethal through that under prosperity
