Preloaded to Steam, can't wait, thanks for this. Nice to know a lot of these things like well rested still being a thing and how persuasion works, saves some unravelling :)
Solid option. Reddit Starfield asked who you'd be and a lot of people went the Firefly option, but StarLord was def up there as well. I didn't get the advanced version, so I'll see you in 5 days! 🙂
I wish I knew there are some game-breaking glitches in this game. Like the one on mission "No Sudden Moves". If you leave The Scow without completely finishing the mission after you have already talked to the captain, you will get locked out of the ship, preventing you from completing the mission and the rest of the campaign. At least if you are locked out, you can go do other sidequests, but there have been cases where other players were locked in.
re Persuasion- in my experience its a roll of the dice. the 'say something appropriate' doesn't work. I tested it out on a convo and there are lines eitherway for every option. Are there any stats to support that saying the right thing to the right person ups the chance of success?
if u got something that u stole and u want to keep with out worry about it getting taken if u happen to get in trouble, u can sell it to the trade consortium and then buy it back for them same price and it wont be tagged as stolen anymore.
A couple nights ago I had a dream--I was playing Starfield! But, in the dream, it was basically Skyrim but with the new graphics engine. But now...was that dream real? Digipicks that are in short supply? Stolen items are marked so everyone knows? You can clean out an allied area and sell it all back to them? So...Skyfield--Skyrim but with lasers and spaceships!
The BIGGEST PROBLEM i have is that we can't build a base as freely and creatively as we could in fallout 4. I wanted to be able to buiod my own base using individual floors, walls, ceilings, etc. And we can't... this is a MASSIVE disappointment to people who loved building bases in fallout 4 and is even a deal breaker for me. I wanted to be able to make a massive base with buildings and now i can't.
@@MrArrow54 Early on it doesn't matter but when you're level 50 and you have a skill in gastronomy you never use, you're gonna wish it was in something else like boost pack
@@super_7710 ya i can see that being a problem for someone. I would suggest cyber runner since u can never go wrong with security and stealth. But to each their own, u can get any lvl 1 skill easily so its best to chose the background that fits how u want people to treat you. The dialog changes for a few NPCs based on your choice. Plenty of people treat my guy like a thief(which is accurate as long as buzzkill sara isnt around).
its funny seeing some of the people from the PS fanboy review bomb Reddit group on this page (i actually recognize two peoples names) they keep bringing up the two 7/10s whilst ignoring the 15+ places that are giving 9/10s and 4.5/5s and that its at 88 on Metacritic higher than BOTH the PS Spiderman games seems like they are struggling to cope
Gamespot and IGN are going to spend the next couple weeks flooding their sites with Starfield articles yet they still felt it’s only a 7/10 game. What a bunch of goobers.
Remember kids: although helpful to some, videos like this may mean you miss the opportunity to make your own mistakes and forge your own path. maybe the game should have, like, tutorials for its user experience, interface & systems? (yes i am playing the game, no it doesn't have good tutorialisation)
I have been looking forward to this, but after hearing the lackluster reviews. I’m not so sure. Especially paying the extra $40 to play today. Sounds like it’s a little bit of a let down from what people were hoping for. I’ve seen two places give it a seven out of 10 now. Maybe I’ll wait until it’s on Game Pass and play it.
The overall score is 88 on metacritic. A few mixed reviews, mostly good reviews. Fallout 4, if you liked it, got a lower score on PC via metacritic. Just something to consider.
@@alpharius6769 cool thanks. I was going to check out Metacritic later just hadn’t done it yet. I’ll still play it. I just don’t think I’ll pay the extra to get it today.
@@ericheckman3888 I went ahead and got it. So far it’s ok. Lots to do but not a big fan of how quickly you can be overweight or some of the other design choices. But overall I’m enjoying it.
Forget about 13 things to know. Here's one thing to know it's not the game bgs have been selling us for the last 6 months. It's fallout 4 with alittle bit of space exploration. The gfx , character models, and enemy a.i are laughably bad.
This game looks like an absolute chore to play. A lot of fans are saying they almost tapped out from boredom just doing the opening side quests in New Atlantis.
Western Developers need to learn how to make new games again. :) Starfield is a big dissapoinment to me and so many others who thought this was going to be something original.
“Save scumming”, so what you want to gate-keep how people play THEIR game? There is literally nothing wrong with saving, and who are you to judge how people play THEIR game.
Save-Scumming is a glitch mostly known in Fallout 3 and New Vegas where you quicksave and quickload over and over as fast as you can. This allows you to clip through walls, and it’s only on PC as the quickload option isn’t on consoles. Either way, it’s a single player game, why are people gatekeeping about what players do in a single player game. Makes not a lick of sense.
13 Things I Wish I Knew: 1. It's not as good as BG3 2. It'll never be as good as BG3 3. It doesn't meet the standards set by BG3 5. Independent studios are the only ones capable of delivering on the expectations and standards set by BG3 8. Dang, I'm only on #8? 9. Okay, uhhhhh turtles can breathe through their butts? 10. Science rules 11. Inertia is a property of matter 12. The division symbol (%) is just an empty fraction 13. Phew, we made it
Digipicks are in the MISC section of inventory and easy to accidentally sell off. Sort by weight and they'll go to the bottom of the inventory.
Go to the Den in the Wolf system to sell Contraband without being scanned. No requirements. Just show up and sell to the trade authority.

the CO2 encumberance system is absolutely amazing. it makes the game so much less tedious than previous titles.
