The ships good but if you grind a little and complete the FreeStar Rangers quest like line you’ll get a Class A ship that completely outclasses this one for free. The Star-Eagle ship is a beast with over 2000 cargo, 5 crew slots, and 900 shield. You don’t even need to level up piloting to fly it so it’s definitely worth the work

@@x_bot117 It's never too late to get it. If you haven't properly started the quest and still have the "Secret outpost" slate in your inventory, just read the slate to trigger the map pin. It doesn't show up as a proper quest until you do that.
It CAN be but it's also a drop that you can't get rid of off of a very common enemy so unless you specifically don't pick up the thing that says Secret Outpost any time you see it...
It is also good to wait till around level 13-15 as most of the npcs are in the 30's range. It can be quite a challenge if you attempt it too low. Definitely bring lots of ammo and med packs.
PSA: The note randomly spawns on spacers. Not just this specific location. You may go here and there may be no note on them. Just go to other spacer locations.
I just found the secret outpost note on a spacer after finally going back to the abandoned casino (I needed more ammo). I think I’ll head back to New Atlantis and hire a weapons expert before getting the Mantis. It’s turning out to be an epic adventure this morning.
True, I got mine on mars doing a united colonies faction mission just haven't gotten around to doing it yet good to know what lies at the end though. My difficulty's so high if I get too caught off guard I'll likely die lol
I just progressed as a vanguard because I chose to be soldier and kinda got the ship. Enjoying the dialogues. I think it's best not to skip them because u can really get an idea about all options
wait so can you choose to progress throughout the vanguard and get the same stuff? and if you don’t do it through the vanguard, will that then make you incapable of doing vanguard missions?

The armor is somewhat OP for how early in the game you can get it. But then armor isn't all that effective in this game anyway. I kept it for most of my playthrough just because mine came with the legendary perk that makes all weapons only count for 50% of their actual weight. The ship, while a decent improvement over the starter ship isn't really all that great. If you're after a good ship you're better off completing the rangers questline which gifts you the Star Eagle upon completion which as far as I'm aware is far and away the best pre-built class A ship in the game. Right out of the box with no modifications it's got room for 5 crew, something like 2700 cargo capacity, 29ly jump capability, and it absolutely tears through ships like butter in space combat.
Got the mission to go to the graveyard, cleared out 100% of the spacers and the other enemies, looted every body. Went through the entire port at least 3 times, not a single note for a secret base
Sooo the secret hideout note comes randomly from spacer enemies so it can drop from any of them so not everyone will get it at the same location just look for more spacers
@@darkvader0248 I think it’s only an hour in, you’re on the first galactic space station created by man and it’s full of enemies. Make sure you loot the bodies and snag all the outpost messages
@@darkvader0248 you also don’t need to worry about fuel, when you get the mission, devs were worried it would ruin game play, you just have to jump from 3-4 planets to get to the one with the ship. Let your companion do most the work. It’s really high level. Give her get an electric weapon, the one that does the most damage, and let her do the most. The only thing i had to do was the turret before the final 4 bosses. Wasn’t hard once I got some op guns tho. Just take it slow because med kits are limited
It's getting absolutely eviscerated by reviews on Steam. I don't understand the hate. It has tons and tons and tons of content and little gems. The game play is unique in many ways. People are just overlooking it.

I did this at level 5 1st thing the spelling you need is tyrannis. 2nd of all there are cot beds EVERYWHERE. sleeping on one for just 1 hour will give you full health I found 5.
i dont know if mine has an issue or soemthing but i cant find the note on any of the spacers i killed or that were alr dead, and i got the quest aswell, is there a fix or is this a glitch?

im at level 6, tons of guns and ammo and after encountering a level 38 about ten minutes into the mission i had to bail. i hope i can come back in a few levels.
I went as a level 8 and was able to breeze through. Just save often and use energy weapons for the robots. Play it safe and don't be afraid to use a lot of medpacks
Also little tip, theres one enemy in the mantis that has 3 red bars that will try to escape whhen he is low on health, I chased him down and killed him and he dropped a purple shotgun(handloading refined pacifier) way better tan the coachman (double barrel). Im not sure if its a guaranteed drop for everyone but worth a try.
It’s not. Loot drops by these mini bosses are random. U can also save before killing them then quickly reload if you don’t like the loot. After 10 reloads you should be getting epic items
Best ship you dont get but you build youself. At start i delete the Frontier Ship and make the GoldStar DREADNOUGHT out ASAP. Free for all players. Have fun
Try to shoot the turrets between the very small gaps on right side before the stairs, worked for me at level 6. Of course I lost some medkit but quick save the game often!

Mantis is a random mission every game is different when comes available. I helped some miners out on a planet and had to clear a base and got it there.
FYI you don’t even need to figure out the puzzle. There is a command console right around the corner from the hallway entrance. You can deactivate the turrets or change the friend/foe setting to protect you.
@@euronate Yea just loaded a save and lost a few legendary weapons didn't find them in the ship cargo either hopefully it gets patched soon the helmets seem to be fine though

yeah, spacer in the outpost did not drop the note, so i explored the other landmarks, and finally got it on the depot on the top of the nill

@TheKurvs vanguard is like a faction UC soldiers.. so you can just join them by visiting the main office at New Atlantis I think.

i think those perks are different for the suit every time you get it.
You can make a save before grabbing the armour and reload for different perks

Highly recommend quicksaving before picking up the armor. I didnt realize and the roll I got for perks was a bit lackluster compared to my friends.

This happened to me the first time. I actually had to reload the save (right after docking) and then BAM the enemies had the item. Seems to be a bug.

I saw him fighting a level 28 robot. I haven’t got there yet but I’m gonna say minimum level 10 unless you’re on a low difficulty setting or something

If u have the 3rd Lvl in Security (Master Lockpicking) u can deactivate the turrets 😊

Lots of good loot in the outpost locked boxes. Got the legendary auto rivet and a few other legendary items. Loot the whole area!

best way to do this at a low level is to just lower the difficulty to very easy and put it back to however you want it after the mission
You can also disable the turrets by the computer right by the doors to the turret room
Not if you don't have that skill unlocked the computer is locked for me.

I started the quest on Lvl 11. Have a lot medipacks and grenades with u and have a companion at your side and u make it. I did it without dying
None of the Spacers dropped that note for me.. is it a chance or fixed drop?
