Excellent Blues scale lesson Gobiron. I really like the way you use the harmonica layout diagram as a visual aid. I'm also very envious of your overblow and overdraw technique. Best wishes, Ricky
Thanks so much Ricky, that’s very kind of you. Likewise I’m really enjoying your Mississippi sax videos. I have to be honest I hardly use overblows and overdraws at all in my playing. It was more of a technical challenge to learn them although to my ear they’re a bit flat. I can bend them up a little but I’m a believer in best avoiding something if you can’t play it well. The 9 overdraw escapes me unless the Reed is gapped so close I risk it sticking on the blow note. Not worth the effort in my opinion.
@@GobIron That’s interesting to know. I can get 4,5 and 6 to overblow (not all 3 holes in some Keys), but not to the extent where I would feel comfortable using them in a gig situation and they are not that well in tune. I’ve got a couple of custom harmonicas on order from Andrew Zajac in Canada. It will be interesting to see how I get on using overblows with them. Best wishes, Ricky
Thanks so much. Easy video with all the information 👍
Excellent lesson and I didn’t know about the overblow on the 1 first position … always saw the 2 blow.
very hard to follow your diagrams, when you show 1st pos blue scale at 2:55, i dont understand the highlighted note sequenvce

Great stuff mate. Awaiting some new videos. Perhaps Big Walter or Little Walter or Junior Wells song?
A dream to be able to do scales with they over notes
impossible to follow you. Thanks for trying but you assume way to much theory info to even try
@@edmulvey9458 Try watching my video on music theory made simple for harmonica players. It might help make more sense of this one for you.
