The stories about the siblings reminds me of one with my older brother. When I was about 15 or 16, I started buying my own bathroom products (body wash, shampoo, conditioner, etc) to meet my teenage girl needs. They were not the cheap ones that my parents bought to get us by. They were specific to my hair type and skin type. My brother ALWAYS used them, despite me asking multiple times not to. One day, I had finally had enough. I went to the craft store and bought a shimmer type glitter to add to EVERYTHING. Enough that it would be noticeable in the light but not when he was using the stuff. He sparkled like Edward Cullen for almost the whole day before he noticed. Then, wouldn't you know it, he never touched my stuff again. I, however, got in trouble for being petty. 🙄 Oh well.

I'm surprised the non-family guests weren't thoroughly disgusted by the sister's behaviour of even considering that it was ok to have a bite of everyone's dessert. Same here. I had a younger sister who would do the same thing except she'd eat all of whatever she had, *then* demand the rest of us also give her ours. She always got her way. We haven't spoken in 17 yrs. Not because of the candy thing specifically , that was just one of the many annoyances in her arsenal. Her favorite was rolling over next to me & wetting the bed we shared then rolling back onto her dry side every single night. Any retaliation on my part ended with severe punishment so I decided fk it, & every time she would do this for the next 3 nights I'd set both my feet in her back and mule kick her off the bed. Mom finally got us separate beds on day 4 after I'd kicked her so hard off the bed she smacked her head hard on her dresser. I still call it a win.

The pen story brought up my pen story: I had a pen that was oak and brass with my name on it there was another Erica in my class. I dropped it; she picked it up. I'm the ONLY Erika. I asked for it back she said no so I left the class. I was good friends with the receptionist who could make announcements on the speakers. The receptionist said that the Erica in room xyz come down to return the pen to Erika with a k. NO ONE EVER spells my name right, and my aunt got it engraved just for me. I was upset on vacation with her and there were pre-engraved ones with my name just spelled with a c. No way no how was I gonna let the Erica get my pen.

That cake thing is relatable. I destroyed my laptop. My older brother tried taking my laptop that i used for school. I get that u would want to ise it sometimes... but that bastard used it more than me. He never let me touch his stuff. And when i told him no, he flipped out and got mom involved which got nasty quick. (Hes twice my age, i was 13-15 at the time) I destroyed it. Dad got me another one later down the line and he doesnt touch. Mom is still salty with me for that but i dont care. Our relationship is kinda strained now.
Being forced to share is so annoying. My older sister and I each got bikes for Christmas when we were kids. And at some point my sister's bike ended up becoming unusable. So my mom said that I had to let my sister use my bike, and that we'd take turns using it. But my sister rode my bike ALL THE TIME! Every chance she got, all day! And when I would ask when it was my turn to ride MY bike, she told me I'd have it 'later'. About a year and a half goes by, and I haven't ridden my bike at all in that time. My sister was gone somewhere for the day, so I decide to take my chance to finally ride my bike again, after so long. And that's when I realized, I OUTGREW the bike. I had had a growth spurt and the bike was now too small for me, but of course still the perfect size for my sister. UGH! We're both in our twenties now, and I still like to remind her about how she owes me for stealing my bike, lol.

OMG as a slightly younger brother to my sister the story about the purse is amazing! I always ask my sister to remind me things as I am forgetful but she never dose! For some odd reason I can find anything. My sister forgets very specific things one of them being her phone. Whenever she looses it I imidiatly find it and shove it in my pocket. I pretend to keep looking for a long time. She usually finds out I took it when she calls her phone with the house phone. But one time it went on for over an hour. Then I sloped it out of my pocket threw it in the middle of the floor and go "oh hey what's that." My sister was furious. You have no idea how good my little but felt when I saw the look on her face.
Imagine having to go back to that group and tell them they didn't get the grant because you didn't want the senator to know that you forgot a pen. If anyone can say with 100% certainty that they never forgot a pen/pencil or had it run out of ink/lead or break and had to borrow one and they are old enough to have finished elementary school,either they are lying or they have my vote for supreme ruler of the universe.

The sibling story about the shared candy and cake. Immediately made me think what my brother would do. I was young, he was several years older. He'd make pizza, put the leftover in the fridge and eventually I'd eat a few pieces. Pissed him off, so he put a lot of salt on the pizza. Took one bite of a piece unknowingly and never touched his leftovers again.
My parents are fair, they taught me and my sister not to want other people's stuffs and we should be grateful and content with what we have. It taught us not to be jealous of other people's belongings and honestly, it's a very good thing to teach your kids.

Same here. I had a younger sister who would do the same thing except she'd eat all of whatever she had, *then* demand the rest of us also give her ours. She always got her way. We haven't spoken in 17 yrs. Not because of the candy thing specifically , that was just one of the many annoyances in her arsenal. Her favorite was rolling over next to me & wetting the bed we shared then rolling back onto her dry side every single night. Any retaliation on my part ended with severe punishment so I decided fk it, & every time she would do this for the next 3 nights I'd set both my feet in her back and mule kick her off the bed. Mom finally got us separate beds on day 4 after I'd kicked her so hard off the bed she smacked her head hard on her dresser. I still call it a win.

The pen story brought up my pen story: I had a pen that was oak and brass with my name on it there was another Erica in my class. I dropped it; she picked it up. I'm the ONLY Erika. I asked for it back she said no so I left the class. I was good friends with the receptionist who could make announcements on the speakers. The receptionist said that the Erica in room xyz come down to return the pen to Erika with a k. NO ONE EVER spells my name right, and my aunt got it engraved just for me. I was upset on vacation with her and there were pre-engraved ones with my name just spelled with a c. No way no how was I gonna let the Erica get my pen.

Being forced to share is so annoying. My older sister and I each got bikes for Christmas when we were kids. And at some point my sister's bike ended up becoming unusable. So my mom said that I had to let my sister use my bike, and that we'd take turns using it. But my sister rode my bike ALL THE TIME! Every chance she got, all day! And when I would ask when it was my turn to ride MY bike, she told me I'd have it 'later'. About a year and a half goes by, and I haven't ridden my bike at all in that time. My sister was gone somewhere for the day, so I decide to take my chance to finally ride my bike again, after so long. And that's when I realized, I OUTGREW the bike. I had had a growth spurt and the bike was now too small for me, but of course still the perfect size for my sister. UGH! We're both in our twenties now, and I still like to remind her about how she owes me for stealing my bike, lol.

OMG as a slightly younger brother to my sister the story about the purse is amazing! I always ask my sister to remind me things as I am forgetful but she never dose! For some odd reason I can find anything. My sister forgets very specific things one of them being her phone. Whenever she looses it I imidiatly find it and shove it in my pocket. I pretend to keep looking for a long time. She usually finds out I took it when she calls her phone with the house phone. But one time it went on for over an hour. Then I sloped it out of my pocket threw it in the middle of the floor and go "oh hey what's that." My sister was furious. You have no idea how good my little but felt when I saw the look on her face.

PETTY REVENGE
The sibling story about the shared candy and cake. Immediately made me think what my brother would do. I was young, he was several years older. He'd make pizza, put the leftover in the fridge and eventually I'd eat a few pieces. Pissed him off, so he put a lot of salt on the pizza. Took one bite of a piece unknowingly and never touched his leftovers again.
My parents are fair, they taught me and my sister not to want other people's stuffs and we should be grateful and content with what we have.
It taught us not to be jealous of other people's belongings and honestly, it's a very good thing to teach your kids.
