Omg, memories of early in relationship with my beloved of twenty years! Nearly every time I made 'a bid' to connect he would literally turn his back or even walk silently out of the room. Ouch, endlessly. I stayed and worked through my stuff. Today our mutual responsiveness is fantastic! immediate, connecting, loving, funny and fun - plus championing one another in life. Thank you Mr Gottman for your offerings and for reminding me of untold healing when, for once, I stayed.

Thanks for sharing the red flags.
-The partner that dismisses your attempts to communicate
-The neglectful partner who does not want to hear any of your problems just happy and smily days.

I came here for Gottman. But this one of the best podcast performances I’ve ever heard. Incredible preparation and detailed questions by the host. Really inspiring. A masterclass in how to make your guest shine

I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful discussion!!
Dr. Gottman explains things well and I am applying his advice in my relationship with great results, namely: better understanding, not taking every little thing so seriously, being more humorous, kind and loving with each other.
    That makes Love grow ❤️

Very helpful and positive energy input with words of hope in healing / repairing from bad history and difficult situations, where those couple who are feeling so unhappy, damaged, suffocating, stuck, suffering from a vicious circle reaction. And both still believe the love they have for each other. These frustrations and hurts are killing. It’s so sad indeed. Thank you .
