@@waynefurlong5097 welcome, wayne! Thanks for your kind words and we're glad you're enjoying the videos. Congrats on your first win! How did you play the scarabs?
Pariah nexus states that you cannot do an action if you fell back. However there is the mission rule Swift Action that allows Battleline to Advance or Fall Back and do actions.
Just picked up a Royal Warden today and think it would pair well with Orikan in a 20 model Warrior unit. Shoot at the enemy unit, charge in, do Orikan's once per battle Hulk smash, 4+ invulnerable save for the smack back if the target is still alive and then fall back / shoot again next turn. Would work well in the Awakened Dynasty with the +1 to hit for being led or in Hypercrypt Legion, popping out of a Monolith, wreaking havoc and acting as a giant screen keeping your Monolith from getting charged.
Another thing to mention is that the Cryptek Leader ability allows a Cryptek to be attached to a unit, even if a Noble or "Royal Warden" is attached as well.
Some really interesting points worth mulling over here, thanks! One thing to point out though, and this doesn’t relate to the Royal Warden but it was mentioned that the Protocol of the Eternal Revenant can’t be used on the Lokhust Lord or Catacomb Command Barge as they are not infantry characters, so worth remembering if you like your Lokhust Lords!
Great video! I have a bit of a long question after seeing this. First I'll show you my list of max 950pts (friendly match): 20 warriors with Orikan the Diviner and a Royal Warden 3 wraiths with Technomancer 6 Scarabs 1 Canoptek Spyder 1 Canoptek Doomstalker 3 Skorpekh Destroyers Ofcourse this will be the Canpptek court, with the Dimensional Sanctum for the Technomancer. My questions: 1- What weapons to run on my Warriors? go for the range, or the -1ap? 2- Go with 1x6 scarabs, or 2x3?
@@tigozijlmans4581 thank you! We'd always go short range reapers. Get em up the board as quick as poss and hold onto that central objective! For the scarabs, depends on what role they serve for you? If they are for screening out deepstrikes in your DZ, then 2x3. If they are meant to yeet up the board and be a pest, supported by the spyder, then 1x6
@@WorHammer40k Thankyou! I'll think on the Scarabs. I thing the latter option is best, since otherwise the spider isn't using his most annoying ability XD!
@@tigozijlmans4581 aye scarabs can be a real roadblock backed up by a spyder. And the spyder can put out some damage too. Only thing to watch out for is spyder can't move as fast as scarabs.
@@WorHammer40k Just looked again and you can't attach Wardens to Lychguard either. Only Overlords (both varients), Imotekh the Stormlord and Trazyn. If you're using legends then you also have Anrakyr the Traveller, Nemesor Zahndrkh and Vargard Obyron
I always ( or sometimes 20x reaper warriors) use him in Hypercrypt in 10man immortals (gauss blasters) with plasmancer. I give him arisen tyrant, and plasmancer takes osteclave fulctrum. No i have offensive unit, taht can have both full re-rolls, and can wound anything. :) He is a very cheap character.
