The first time I got to put my Nightbringer on the table was a small tournament at the beginning of 10th. First game it got swarmed by Incepotors with their nail gun looking pistols. It went down so fast. Space Marines gave me a headache at the beginning of 10th. My second game was against Thousand Sons and he really shined there. The sweep profile took out all but 1 model in a unit of cultists. It was crazy. He was just eating up the Thousand Sons.
I have to say I quite like Nightbringer being the size that he is. To me it kind of speaks to the fact he's not powerful because he's a big, muscly or even just physically massive brute, he's powerful simply because he's death incarnate and that needs no great mass to back it up. It is the ultimate finality, no matter what form it takes - death is death. Also how cool is it that two of our big monsters are literally the Grim Reaper and Satan 😂
Hey i have a question. I was playing a game a someone that was watching outside our game told me that Drain Life triggers on you and your opponents end of fight. Is he right?
One thing i overlooked often about him is, that he dishes out MW at the end of your opponents fight phase too. I useually like to play him mid board, advance him 1 or 2 turns with a Reanimator (in cover) and get as far into enemy lines as possible. And i always reserve a CP just for him and his charge. Ironically, i haven´t had a game where he killed an ungodly amount of units, turn after turn as i was hopeing too. My dice rolls are usually really good, but on him they could be better. When it comes to defeatiing him, i once got almost one shoted by 9 Zoanthropes with their Leathal hits by an amazing roll from my opponent. Other than that, just don´t challange him.

Great question! 1. The hypercrypt legion detachment enables you to remove units at the end of your opponent's turn, then return them in your turn. This is called Hyperphasing. 2. Typically, the Nightbringer would have to return from Strategic Reserves, ie within 6" of a board edge. However, the wording of Cosmic Precision says you can use it on any Hyperphasing unit.
@@fdehands7494 if your opponent goes first, and you take the nightbringer off the board at the end of their t1, you can bring the nightbringer back in your t1. The core rules state that units which start the game on the board can come in from reserves in t1

@@WorHammer40k yeah i got myself a 3D Printed Proxy for him who looks amazing, just google it there is one "simple" version who holds like a energy Ball up. high details and he got FEET lol.. it´s a bit of a shame that Trazyn didn´t got a new Model/rules HE is a big Lore Character, he got left behind. guess we have to wait for 11th Edition so he can be next as a Coverboy
Playing a series of 1k games and had this guy in my list for the first few matches. Was cool and defo had a fear factor, but I took him out for tomb blades, death marks and another heavy destroyer and seem to be performing better. QUESTION: is nightbringer viable at 1k points? What would a list look like?

6:19 - Cosmic precision can no longer be used on monsters. This change came from the Balance Dataslate on the 20th of June 2024.

The way Fly works in 10th is absolutely stupid. It makes no sense from a gameplay or narrative perspective.

So both fight phases per battle round
