It never ceases to amaze me as to wonder how these people manage to have such massive record and CD collections. Despite what they say to the contrary, I am aware that they get many, many records etc sent to them free, but even so......I guess I am just super jealous!!
I can only speak for myself but I get very little for “free”. Yes occasionally a record label will send me an album to review. But 99.9% of everything is stuff I’ve personally hunted out and bought. I’m fortunate to have a good job as an Architect that allows me to explore my passion in music.
Thanks for another informative video, Brendon. It’s kinda funny - I was recently at PREX and bought two Marillion CDs in their discount section - a compilation (Six Of One, Half Dozen Of The Other) and Seasons End. The latter is just a classic. I’m expanding from just Misplaced Childhood!
Hi Brendon. The Larry Wallis CD was a nice surprise. I know him for 'Kings Of Oblivion' by Pink Fairies and his association with Stiff Records in 76/77. I'll be checking that CD out.

Saw it for a good price on Amazon, so thought I'd give it a go. As usual, your recommendation hits the mark with me. Only listened to disc one 'album cuts, 1994 demos and rough mixes' so far, but if the other two are like this...I'm one happy camper! Cheers again Brendon..🍻
Very cool shirt. Both Victory discs are great, with Culture being AWESOME from front to back. Same goes for the Norum discs. I assume We Will Be Strong is the Lizzy cover. He did one on each release for awhile.
In the late 90's Marillion reissued their first 8 albums in 2 cd sets with bonus tracks. Really interesting. Maybe harder to find in the US, but if you are in love with Holidays in Eden, it might be worth the hunt ! 🙂 My personal favourite is Seasons End from 1989.
Good to see you pick up some more Victory, great melodic hard rock bordering on metal. Anything with Herman Frank is great, even the Iron Allies album with David Reece from a couple years ago was good. I also recommend all 5 Herman Frank solo/band albums, especially 2012’s Right In The Guts.

If you haven't got Dougie White solo album, please buy and review it, I think its about 10 years old and such a brilliant album, comes as a double album with the 2nd disc being a covers disc. Hey I just found Ring Of Fire as well. I've only listened to the album Gravity once and have another coming soon. So I think it would be safe to say I like them. =)
The US cover of Holidays in Eden used the old Marillion logo that was on their first four albums, when Fish was their vocalist. That was designed by Mark Wilkinson, who painted those four albums. After Fish left Marillion, Mark’s time with the band also ended and he went on to design nearly all of Fish’s solo albums. The band used that logo for the first post-Fish album Seasons End, then moved on to various logos for subsequent releases but for whatever reason the US edition kept that, then moved on after that.
Billy Thorpe - Children of the Sun is out on CD. I believe an Australian label got the reissue rights in early-mid 90’s. Children of the Sun…Revisited is also out on CD.
I own all the albums. Just looking for the remasters now. Wouldn’t by the box because one I just bought 2 of the remasters and don’t want to duplicate. The other is I prefer jewel cases which is why I’m buying them separately.
@@BrendonSnyder I've got all the remasters as well. I just like getting the box set because you get the Snakebite EP & a couple of the live albums which I don't think have ever been remastered. Plus, if I'm in the mood to listen to the old catalog, I can just drop that box set into my back pack & binge listen at work.
I'll add to this conversation that this Whitesnake CD boxset is great. But totally understand Brendon that you would not want to duplicate and you prefer jewel cases.
been looking for Rick Springfield’s hard to hold cd… just love the song ‘love somebody’… the movie Boogie Nights really made me want that song.. never care much for ‘best of’ or ‘anthology’ albums.. do u hv ‘hard to hold’ on cd..? i found the vinyl copy.. didn’t get it as i’m not into vinyls… 😅… been meaning to get those remastered Whitesnake’s albums too… guess will go with the 2 disc version of ‘slide it in’.. grew up with the UK mix although hv always thought John Sykes did the solos on that version … until i found out Micky Moody did the solos for UK mix while John did the US mix.. mixing wise.. still prefer the UK mix.. 😅
With the Glenn Frey CD, was it the standard silver label CD (with the black and yellow circles and silver face) or the Made In West Germany By PolyGram “Target” label (solid yellow with black print)?
Check your copy of the RCA pressing of Wait For Night! I bought it in 1987, got it home and it was broken! I later found the original Chelsea Records issue at another store, and thankfully it was in one piece.
I have the Springfield album on cd. It always surprise when I play it that the opening track 'Take A Hand' was covered by Head East and the first track on the Head East Live album. By the way is Wounded Bird still going? I find it hard to find out what they are releasing.

If you want the entire early Whitesnake from 1978 to 1982 - get the box set Little Box of Snakes. Has the early Whitesnake all remastered
