Good review and vid - I've been wondering about the CTII. I've worn Converse Chuck Taylors since I was in elementary school, high school, and beyond. I have two relatively new pairs of low tops(optical white & grey) along with a ten year old pair that is a lot more than just broken in. I gotta try the CTII on in the store, but it's good to get a thumbs up opinion. I would say, "c ya on the court," but I don't know nuthin' about basketball.
Been wanting a pair of the Chuck II's for ages and the review just pushed me over the edge. Copped. Cheers man!

I love how the canvas flops over and is just loose I can't get over how much I love the simplistic look of the shoe.

Chuck II is just a remake of the Chuck Taylor All Star Pro that was made for skateboarding. And the CTAS Pro is made out of suede, which in my opinion is even better.
The hair is on fleek the flannels out its fall as the videos are getting even better can't wait for the Halloween vid what u gonna be

i feel like the chuck taylor 2 shoe is exactly the same as the ctas pro skating shoe just in more colors and without the suede but i do agree it is more practical than the original
but i think without the stripes along the sole it looks like something is missing... it looks too plain to me

holy fuck $75 for the Chuck 2's i remember when the chuck ones used ro be really cheap in price and still made the same way they aways were...they were comfortable for me my feet never got all hot nasty or sweaty the thing i didnt like it was if it rained or stepping on a single little rock other than that i was happy

The only thing keeping me from buying the black or blue Chuck IIs is the lack of the iconic black lining!! Chucks don't look the same without the black lining on the bottom part of the shoe and toe area. It's only the white chucks that look better without them. Do you think Converse will release Chuck IIs with the black lining?

the chuck taylor 2 really got the upgrade, and its so much more comfortable. the chuck taylor one was atrocious in every category besides looks, like those things really were some of the most uncomfortable things. they were like bricks.

No doubt the Classics are cooler and the original as well, but the CT 2 are way better than the older. They are more comfy now, has more support, rigid and a little different looking and feels like a rubber shoes but its really strong as well even better than the older classic one. I have many ct's from the old ones to this new one and i think you guys should try it out. The new ct2 is made together with nike which is why got much better but in the end the classic is still also a must have, and i believe this as well is a must have.

Are these true to size?
I'm not much of a fan when it comes to the chuck 2, because they are now more of a shoe rather than something you can just put on a mess up, and the design throws me off a bit. Also the construction of the shoe makes them less portable, I was able to fit 3 pairs of chucks in my bag and my friends had to only were able to bring 1 pair of shoes. The comfort was never a problem for me with the chucks but I can understand people's complaints

wish Converse would give the original Chucks the technology update that the Chuck II has, while retaining the original Chuck Taylor look. There's no reason for a shoe to be that uncomfortable in this day and age.
