After watching this, i'm seriously thinking of getting myself a 3d printer.
It'll cost you atleast $200 just so you know.
I think the only reason most people don't have a 3D printer is because how expensive they are. If you can afford it go for it. I just wouldn't recommend super cheap printers because the cheaper ones are usually very limited in what you can do.
@@BellPepperBrian Well thats pretty ignorant to say they should be able to afford that. First off, you can get a cheap or used computer for $200 which is way cheaper than a decent printer so you are just blatantly wrong about 4x the price. Second, a computer can be used for everything from your job, communication,video games, research and literally millions of other things and is usually shared with their entire household giving it way more utilitity and justifing the price point . Your comment just really doesn't any make sense since you are assuming everyone owns a top end computer when alot of people can't even afford a computer, let alone a computer and a printer since a computer is needed to effectively use a printer, plus a computer is 1000 times more useful.

I know I’m late but this is the most realistic Star Wars helmet I’ve even seen , the little scratches and the subtle weathering really does it for me

You guys notice, i don't remember seen any "normal" pauldron in The Clone Wars series after the clones star using phase 2 armor

3D printers really aren't all that uncommon. Yeah, 5 years ago they were pretty hard to come by but nowadays they really aren't that hard to get.

Wow really niiiiiiiicceeee helmet !!!!!! The intro is fun ^^
been doing a similar process at work for over a year now. i used to use that rustoleum 2 in 1 filler primer, but have switched over to one from SEM. the SEM high build primer is pricey but it sands much nicer, dries faster and has a good nozzle for even coats. cans seem to last a lot longer too.

I took a butane torch to my helmet in some spots and melted the plastic a little to add some more battle scaring. Something to add some realism and a little detail.
This is sweet, have you considered maybe trying to do one of the new sith trooper helmets? Tbh I'd love to just see a first order helmet on general but really weathered cos it's not something we usually see! Great video I hope to get a 3d printer in the future and get into doing this stuff !

Hi just wondering are these binoculars the same ones in your files?
hey man, so I love your stuff, actually in the process of making the Kashyyyk trooper now, there is ONE small nitpick to make on your phase 2 helmets, and like i said SUPER minor, the knob on the back center of the Phase 2 actually has like what I like to call a "Reese Cup" pattern on it. This is more easily visible on the back of Commander Appo's helmet when he is asking Bail Organa to leave the Jedi temple.
I don't think this is a crucial detail, I'm not even positive the 501st looks for this, so the importance of it is very minimal.
Keep up the good work though dude, loving the content and the files you're putting out.

I'd recommend some hot glue and packing foam. Super simple, just place the foam wherever your forehead, cheeks, and back of your head hit the helmet. If it's too big, get thick pieces of foam to make it fit more snug on your head. That's what I always do.

Actually. In the films involving commander bly, especially revenge of the sith, he does not have that brown paint on his helmet chin. Look closely at the bottom of his helmet before he kills Aayla Secura
